[Balanced Hackmons] Aegislash

[OVERVIEW]

Aegislash sees high usage in Balanced Hackmons, since its great mixed defensive stats allow it to act as a bulky special or physical wall. As a Steel-type, it has a resistance to common attacking types, like Dragon, Ice, Flying, and Fairy, the last three of which let it check -ate users. Aegislash's Ghost typing gives useful immunities to Normal and Fighting, which can be seen in Endeavor Shedinja and common Fighting coverage for other Steel-types. It also gives Aegislash an immunity to being trapped, so things like Magnet Pull and Magma Storm can be switched out of. However, Aegislash is also weak to two common coverage types in Ground and Fire as a result of its typing. Furthermore, it is weak to Dark, which is extremely common on walls and attackers alike in the form of Knock Off. Dark, along with Ghost, is also a prevalent attacking type in Pokemon like Mega Tyranitar, Gyarados, and Gengar. The Dark-type weakness also allows Aegislash to be taken out with Pursuit easily. As a result of these hindrances, it faces tough competition from Registeel, which is slightly bulkier and trades Aegislash's Dark- and Ghost-type weaknesses for a Fighting-type weakness. Aegislash's Speed stat is also higher than that of common pivots like Registeel and Mega Audino, making it less effective at gaining momentum against these Pokemon, since it will switch first when using a pivot move.

Will-O-Wisp spreads burns, crippling physical attackers and chipping away at the health of opposing Pokemon. It can be used without reserve because Flash Fire prevents Magic Bounce and Imposter Pokemon from using it against you. Recover keeps Aegislash healthy so it can continue to function as a wall. Whirlwind is useful for phazing sweepers, especially those behind a Substitute. Topsy-Turvy can be used instead to invert the foe's boosts, which is better against setup sweepers and Contrary users without Substitute. Baton Pass lets Aegislash pivot out, gaining momentum, but also pass along harmful effects like Leech Seed and Parting Shot stat drops. U-turn can be used instead so Aegislash isn't shut down by Taunt, but it can be blocked by Protect and make Aegislash susceptible to Rocky Helmet damage. Parting Shot is another option that weakens attackers, but creates a problem if the opponent is carrying a Contrary user and is also blocked by Soundproof and Magic Bounce Pokemon. This does give it the use of phazing Magic Bounce sweepers, which cannot be phazed by Whirlwind or hit with Topsy-Turvy. Entrainment is an alternative option that replaces the opposing Pokemon's ability, stopping Poison Heal, -ate, and Contrary users.

Set Details
========

The given EVs and nature maximize Aegislash's special bulk so that it can take strong special attacks like -ate Boomburst and Psycho Boost more comfortably. If preferred, Aegislash can invest in Defense instead, since many moves it is weak to, like Knock Off and Thousand Arrows, are physical. A Speed-decreasing nature lets Aegislash move after other Aegislash so it can gain momentum more consistently when using Baton Pass. Flash Fire covers Aegislash's Fire-type weakness, letting it counter common Contrary sets and -ate users with Fire-type coverage. It also renders Aegislash immune to Will-O-Wisp, so Imposter and Magic Bounce users can't use the move against it. Safety Goggles ensures that Aegislash isn't hit by Spore, while Leftovers provides a little passive recovery.

Usage Tips
========

Aegislash can switch into attackers whose STAB attacks it resists, although it is advised to scout for coverage moves that could KO it first. Recover should be used often to keep Aegislash healthy, especially since powerful attacks like Mega Rayquaza's Aerilate Boomburst and Draco Meteor deal lots of damage. Use Whirlwind against Pokemon behind a Substitute or setup sweepers. Topsy-Turvy should be used against Pokemon that have already boosted. Use Baton Pass when a switch is predicted or to safely bring in another Pokemon. If using Parting Shot, scout for potential Contrary users first, as they can gain boosts from it. If a switch to a Soundproof, Magic Bounce, or Contrary user is predicted, it is better to switch normally. Entrainment can be used against Poison Heal or Contrary Pokemon to nullify their abilities and force them out. Will-O-Wisp can be safely spammed to cripple physical attackers and damage other Pokemon due to its high PP and Aegislash's immunity to it, but using it gives away Aegislash's ability.

Team Options
========

Yveltal and Mega Audino are good partners, as they can easily take the Ghost- and Dark-type attacks that Aegislash is weak to, like Knock Off and Spooky Plate Judgment. Physical walls like Mega Audino and Giratina, especially with Fur Coat, can handle physical Ground-type attackers like Mega Garchomp and Primal Groudon. Giratina can also take Mold Breaker Fire-type attacks. Frail wallbreakers and sweepers like Mega Gengar also synergize well with Aegislash, and they can capitalize on the slow pivots it can provide.

Moves
========

Prankster Parting Shot lets Aegislash switch out of and weaken threats without getting hit. It also lets Aegislash force out Magic Bounce users they can attack or use support moves. U-turn can be used instead so that Aegislash can switch after faster Pokemon to gain more momentum. When used directly after a Prankster Destiny Bond, Aegislash is almost guaranteed to take down the attacker or get a free switch, since Destiny Bond stays active until Aegislash uses U-turn. Recover increases Aegislash's longevity, and Topsy-Turvy inverts the foe's boosts to prevent sweeps, but it is blocked by Substitute. Destiny Bond lets Aegislash sacrifice itself to eliminate a threat, such as a boosted Pokemon. Encore locks opposing Pokemon into a move, catching Substitute and setup sweepers with Prankster. It also stops a Pokemon trying to stall out Destiny Bond's PP by using non-attacking moves, and it can lock Pokemon into moves that are ineffective against Aegislash, like Fighting- and Normal-type moves and -ate Fake Out. Spore puts opposing Pokemon to sleep, but it is ineffective against foes behind a Substitute, those carrying Safety Goggles, or those with Magic Bounce or Poison Heal (after Toxic Orb has activated).

Set Details
========

Safety Goggles is the preferred item, especially if Spore is used, as it prevents Aegislash from being affected by Spore from Imposter and Magic Bounce Pokemon and also other Pokemon, like Gale Wings Mega Rayquaza. Leftovers alternatively provides a little passive recovery. A Careful nature and maximized special bulk let Aegislash better take strong special attacks like Mega Rayquaza's Aerilate-boosted Boomburst.

Usage Tips
========

Parting Shot should be used against Pokemon that Aegislash can't wall if its other moves are ineffective against them. However, it is better to scout for potential Contrary users before using this move, as they can gain boosts from it. If a switch to a Soundproof, Magic Bounce, or Contrary user is predicted, it is better to switch normally. In addition, it is good to use to force out Magic Bounce Pokemon before they can attack or use support moves like Recover and Defog. U-turn should be used if a switch is predicted or to safely bring in another Pokemon. Recover should be used whenever Aegislash is low on health. Topsy-Turvy should be used against boosted Pokemon, provided they aren't behind a Substitute or have the ability Magic Bounce. Destiny Bond is a last-resort move and should only be used when the opposing Pokemon is a large threat to your team and cannot be walled. It has low PP, though, and it is important to try to predict whether or not your foe will attack or not before using it if not carrying Encore. Encore should be used if the opposing Pokemon has just used a status move or one that is ineffective against Aegislash to stop it from doing something else. It also suffers from having low PP and should be conserved if not necessary. Spore should be used against Pokemon that do not have a status condition, a Substitute, Magic Bounce, or Safety Goggles.

Team Options
========

Yveltal and Mega Audino are great teammates, as they can take the Dark- and Ghost-type attacks that Aegislash can't, like Knock Off and Spooky Plate Judgment. Physical walls like Giratina and Mega Slowbro, especially with Fur Coat, are useful for switching into strong Fire- and Ground-type attackers, like Primal Groudon and Mega Garchomp. Bulky attackers and walls all appreciate the Attack and Special Attack drops Parting Shot gives, while frail attackers can make use of U-turn to be brought in safely.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Thanks to Aegislash's wide variety of resistances, it can effectively run several other support moves, like Stealth Rock, Heal Bell, and Defog, since it has many opportunities to switch in. Heart Swap can also be used over Topsy-Turvy, and it can ignore Substitute. With Baton Pass, Aegislash can pass boosts to teammates as well. Alternatively, Haze can remove boosts entirely and stops sweepers from just setting up again afterwards, unlike Heart Swap, and is more useful against those that lower their own stats via moves like V-create and Shell Smash. The Prankster set can also run Taunt and Curse, the former of which stops Pokemon from setting up and using support moves, and the latter of which damages the opposing Pokemon, preventing sweeps and Baton Pass shenanigans. Curse's use is limited, however, because of the large HP loss. Whirlwind is another option for the Prankster set that works well with Destiny Bond, which will remain in effect until Aegislash's next move, letting it phaze sweepers. Aegislash can also run a Regenerator set with Assault Vest, as it is one of the few Pokemon that isn't 2HKOed by Mega Rayquaza's Choice Specs- and Aerilate-boosted Boomburst. It has the niche of being immune to Secret Sword, which Mega Rayquaza occasionally runs. Levitate can be run to cover Aegislash's Ground weakness, which is useful considering that Precipice Blades is a common coverage move on -ate users; however, the prevalence of Thousand Arrows reduces its use. Aegislash can also be run with Stance Change as a surprise sweeper.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dark-types**: Dark-types like Mega Tyranitar and Yveltal deal lots of damage to Aegislash due to its Dark weakness, and they can carry Pursuit to eliminate a weakened Aegislash. They also commonly run Poison Heal, giving them an immunity to Spore and Will-O-Wisp. However, they must be wary of burns if they are running a different set.

**Substitute and Taunt Users**: Pokemon carrying Substitute or Taunt, like Gale Wings Mega Rayquaza, render both sets ineffective, as their main moves are useless. Substitute can be Encored by Prankster Aegislash, though.

**Super Effective Coverage Moves**: Coverage moves like Earth Power and Precipice Blades can take out Aegislash, especially if they come from boosted or powerful attackers like Mega Rayquaza. Pokemon carrying Mold Breaker, like Mega Mewtwo X, can also bypass Flash Fire to hit Aegislash with Fire-type moves.

**Primal Groudon**: Primal Groudon beats most variants of Aegislash due to its natural burn immunity and super effective Ground- and Fire-type STAB moves. The Prankster set can put it to sleep with Spore, however.

**Magic Bounce**: Magic Bounce Pokemon can nullify most of Aegislash's effectiveness aside from absorbing damage.

Overview:
  • I would note that being weak to Dark is especially bad because of the omnipresent Knock Off and the fact that Aegislash, unlike Giratina, doesn't have an item it can hold to reduce that move's power.
  • Also mention that Registeel is bulkier but lacks the Fighting immunity.
  • Isn't the higher speed stat bad? If so you should make that clearer.
Set 1:
  • Switch the order of Topsy and Whirlwind imo, I think Whirlwind is better.
  • Say that you can use Will-o-Wisp without fear of Magic Bounce or Imposter users because of Flash Fire
  • Be a bit more specific about what "double" Draco Meteor means
  • I don't really like the usage tip about Topsy because you've implied that it's preferable not to have both and then you talk in that sentence as though you have a choice between them.
  • In Team Options, provide examples of some common Ghost and Dark attacks that Mega Audino would be switching into.
  • It's not really clear which "latter" you're referencing so just saw Giratina again.
  • Add a Team Option for fast attackers that might have trouble with -ates because Aegi can check them.
Set 2:
  • Change the order of the moves so it matches what you have in the Moves section
  • Add that U-turn is also useful with Destiny Bond because it gives the opponent two chances to kill you.
  • Just explain that Topsy is especially good with Prankster because Aegislash can effectively ignore speed boosts thanks to Prankster
  • Spore is only ineffective against PH if Toxic Orb is activated
  • Add that Encore helps thanks to Aegislash's immunities to Normal and Fighting and the fact that it can sometimes Encore -ate users into moves like Fake Out to avoid being hit by coverage moves
  • Add in Set Details that Safety Goggles should definitely be used if Spore is used to deal with Imposters
  • Make the same Team Options adjustments I mentioned earlier and also provide some specific abilities Audino might use. Also, I would not describe Giratina as a good wall for Tyranitar.
Other Options
  • Say that Defog is especially useful because Aegislash has a variety of immunities and resistances and thus gets many opportunities to switch in
  • Mention Haze
  • If you want, say that Levitate also grants resistances to common "good" coverages like Fairy + Ground, Ice + Ground, Flying + Ground, etc
  • If you're going to mention Blade, you should mention Stance Change as well
Checks and Counters
  • In the Dark types thing it's worth noting that those Pokemon commonly run Poison Heal, which makes them especially effective against Aegislash with Will-o-Wisp or Spore
  • In the Sub/Taunt one provide specific examples of Pokemon/strategies that commonly utilize those moves
  • Be much, much more specific in the coverage moves one with specific Pokemon that use these coverage moves.
  • I feel like Red Orb Groudon needs a specific mention, if not an entire bullet point, simply because it can beat virtually every variant of Aegislash and is immune to Will-o-Wisp. You don't have to add this if you don't want to though

[OVERVIEW]

- I'd replace "great defensive stats" with "great mixed defensive stats" to clarify that bullet point but that's just a nitpick, your call.
- Mention that Aegislash is also immune to Endeavor, which is another advantage it holds over Registeel as it can switch into Shed.
- Also mention that another advantage of Aegislash over Regi is the fact that it cannot be trapped. Even though Registeel almost always carries pivoting moves, it can still get trapped by something like Infestation and then take significant dmg (or even get KO'd) on the following turn before it manages to U-turn out. Prankster Regi isn't completely safe from this either as it can get trapped by Soundproof users.

[SET]: FF

- I would honestly replace BP with U-turn but I guess that's preference, I would at least mention it in the moves section and compare the 2. Volt Switch is generally inferior for FF Aegi (and any Steel wall in general) for obv reasons so no reason to mention that.
- Mention that having the combination of Parting Shot + WW gives Aegi the ability to phaze anything that isn't Ingrained (no need to slash this one in either since BP basically represents the pivot moves, just talk about it in the moves section).
- I personally don't think Topsy is that great on FF Aegi since it usually is outsped and will prolly take big dmg (or even get KO'd) before managing to use it, would prolly replace it with another utility move like Defog or something.
- Sassy nature and 0 Spe IVs so it has the highest chance of being last to switch out on a pivoting move.
- Mention Yveltal in the Team Options bullet where you mentioned Mega Audino.
- In Team Options, mention that frail wallbreakers/sweepers pair well with Aegi as they appreciate the slow pivots it provides.

[SET]: Prankster

- Mention that Parting Shot, even though it does give momentum to Magic Bounce users, will be able to also phaze them (priority phaze actually) if they are sweepers. Hence, it could sometimes be useful against them.
- Mention how Parting Shot is a priority pivot and allows Aegi to get out before it is hit by a coverage move, while U-turn provides a slow pivot to bring in a teammate safely.
- Mention and explain the synergy between U-turn + Dbond.
- Specify that Aegi needs to carry Goggles if using Spore in the Moves section imo, compare Lefties with Goggles in Set Details instead.
- Mention Calm vs Careful natures in Set Details (- Atk nature if using Parting Shot to minimize Foul Play dmg, - SpA if carrying U-turn).
- Add Yveltal to the Team Options next to Mega Audino since it can also take the Dark and Ghost moves.
- Mention in TO that bulky attackers appreciate the Prankster set that carries Parting Shot, frail ones appreciate U-turn.

[Strategy Comments]

- Mention how Levitate Aegi is generally inferior to Regi as well, since the mons carrying Ground coverage will most likely not be carrying Fighting moves so the immunity isn't that relevant in that case.

Implemented, will write up sometime soon. (edit 9/11: will do by friday)

- I left Topsy as it allows FF Aegi to stop special Contrary mons like Latios and MMY. Haze/Heart Swap leave them doing too much damage to Recover Off and phazing them leaves Aegislash at very low health from a double Draco/Psycho
- We don't include IVs in analyses afaik
- I left the natures as just Careful as Foul Play sees practically no use, and will still do little to Aegi.
- I left out the last Strategy Comment. Even though mons don't tend to carry both Ground and Fighting coverage on the same set, there are many that can run either (-Ate Ray). Levitate Aegi can act as a counter if Ray is carrying either CC or Precipice which is nice.

That's fine, my only concern is whether Aegi has the bulk to survive a double Draco (one normal and one +2) and then be able to survive a -4 one afterwards which is what my point was (I didn't do calcs but I'm thinking it can survive mmy but not lati).

Edit: Just checked and I was right, Mega Latios will be able to kill Aegislash everytime with three Dracos (unboosted, +2, and then -4)

Hello

Aegislash

Overview:
  • Don't really know what "counter attackers" means; I think you can just condense this into "useful immunities to normal and fighting such as" and list shed's endeavor and "common fighting coverage" for other steels that may or may not be from mewtwoX
  • [G/P related] "immune from being trapped ensuring it an switch out of trapping" seems kinda redundant. This sentence in general seems pretty long-winded
  • I think you can list Knock Off before Tyranitar etc and umbrella that into "ground fire and dark, common coverage attacks on both attackers and even some walls/tanks

Set Flash Fire
Moves

  • This set as is is completely shut down by taunt, another reason Uturn can be used, along with having some chip damage on the switch that can be useful. Baton Pass can also transfer harmful effects such as Leech and Parting, more likely to happen since no HS, and matchups vs attackers like Kyogre that you would think you could topsy
  • [Opinion]Personally I think aegi can also be a decent hazard setter with its WW instead of WoW which practically gives it away as FF; you can add this if you wish

Set Details
  • [Opinion]Personally I think this set can go with more defense investment since most fire moves are special and most ground moves and dark moves, which it can't cover already, are physical. You can add this anywhere in the analysis as an additional option with this reasoning
Set Prankster
Moves

  • Since you mention the problems of Parting here, but have listed Parting as an option in FF; I think this should be moved up especially since if Parting is bounced on FF, you can't go first again without Prankster, and you stay as more of a sitting duck. Also it makes sense to know the downsides initially not after mentioning it once already
  • Encore can itself be stalled out with its equally low PP as DBond
  • Mention Parting being able to work on sub mons since you mention the others can't

OO
  • Though obvious, mention Curse's being niche cause of the high HP loss
  • As mentioned before, Aegi with hazard can be good with WW especially if you predict them using a Fire attackers
  • Levitate can be used similarly to FF to stop -ate attackers with ground and fighting coverage, usually with another option for fire moves such as Giratina
  • Technically Aegi also includes its Blade Forme so can make a quick passing mention at using its natural ability as a surprise sweeper with unique coverage options

Checks and Counters:
  • Magic Bounce can nullify most of Aegi's effectiveness at doing anything other than soaking up damage

Not sure what you meant by this. Do you want me to change the set order? Everything else should be in.

No,I meant you mention the problems with parting shot here even though you put it in an earlier set and didn't explain that earlier and you also have the bonus problem of being more susceptible to taunt and/or magic bounce when you are ff since you can't go first; those should be put at first mention of parting imo

Moves
========

Prankster Parting Shot lets Aegislash switch out of and weaken threats without getting hit. It also lets Aegislash force out Magic Bounce users to prevent them from attacking or using support moves. (unless this is specific to balanced hackmons, how is this possible?) U-turn can be used instead so Aegislash can switch after faster Pokemon to gain more momentum. When used directly after a Prankster Destiny Bond, Aegislash is almost guaranteed to take down the attacker or get a free switch, since Destiny Bond stays active until Aegislash uses U-turn (if this also works with Parting Shot, then you should say: ..."until Aegislash uses U-turn or Parting Shot"). Recover increases Aegislash's longevity, and Topsy-Turvy inverts the opponent's boosts to prevent sweeps,(AC) but is blocked by Substitute. It is blocked by Substitute, however. (More concise) Destiny Bond lets Aegislash sacrifice itself to eliminate threats, such as boosted Pokemon. Prankster Encore locks opposing Pokemon into a move, catching Substitute and set-up setup sweepers with Prankster (Saying "Prankster Encore" still gets your point across, and otherwise, it sounds like the setup sweepers have Prankster). It also stops a Pokemon trying to stall out Destiny Bond's PP by using non-attacking moves, and it can lock Pokemon into moves ineffective against Aegislash, like Fighting- and Normal-type moves and -Ate Fake Out. Spore puts opposing Pokemon to sleep, but is ineffective against Pokemon behind a Substitute, those carrying Safety Goggles, or those with Magic Bounce or Poison Heal (after Toxic Orb has activated).

Set Details

Safety Goggles is the preferred item, especially if Spore is used, as it prevents Aegislash from being affected by Spore from Imposter Pokemon,(AC) and Magic Bounce Pokemon,(AC) and also other Pokemon. Leftovers alternatively provides a little passive recovery. A Careful nature and maximized special bulk lets Aegislash better take strong special attacks better,(AC) like Mega Rayquaza's Aerilate Boomburst.

Usage Tips
========

Parting Shot should be used against Pokemon that Aegislash can't wall if its other moves are ineffective against them. However, it is better to scout for potential Contrary users before using this move, as they can gain stat boosts from it. If a switch to a Soundproof, Magic Bounce, or Contrary user is predicted, it is better to switch normally. In addition, it Parting Shot is good to use to force out Magic Bounce Pokemon, which can stop set-up setup sweepers or prevent the usage of move like Recover and Defog. U-turn should be used if a switch is predicted or to safely bring in another Pokemon. Recover should be used whenever Aegislash is low on healthy,(RC) health so it can stay alive. Topsy-Turvy should be used against boosted Pokemon, provided they aren't behind a Substitute or have the ability Magic Bounce. Destiny Bond is a last resort move,(RC) and should only be used when the opposing Pokemon is a large threat to your team and cannot be walled. It has low PP though, and it is important to try to predict whether or not your opponent will attack or not before using it if not carrying Encore. Encore should be used if the opposing Pokemon has just used a status move or one ineffective against Aegislash to stop it from doing something else. It also suffers from having low PP though,(RC) and should be conserved if not necessary. Spore should be used against Pokemon that do not have a status condition, a Substitute, Magic Bounce, or Safety Goggles.

Team Options
========

Yveltal and Mega Audino are great teammates, as they can take the Dark- and Ghost-type attacks that Aegislash can't, like Knock Off and Spooky Plate Judgment. Physical walls like Giratina and Mega Slowbro, especially with Fur Coat, are useful for switching into strong Fire- and Ground-type attackers,(RC) like Primal Groudon and Mega Garchomp. Bulky attackers and walls all appreciate the Attack and Special Attack drops Parting Shot gives, while frail attackers can make use of U-turn to be brought in safely.

Other Options
=============

Thanks to Aegislash's wide variety of resistances, it can effectively run several other support moves,(RC) like such as (reduce redundancy with previous "likes") Stealth Rock, Heal Bell, and Defog, since it has many opportunities to switch in. Heart Swap can also be used over Topsy-Turvy,(RC) and can ignore Substitute. With Baton Pass,(AC) Aegislash can pass boosts to teammates as well. Alternatively, Haze can remove boosts entirely,(RC) and stops sweepers from just setting up again afterwards, and unlike Heart Swap, and Haze is more useful against those who lower their own stats via moves like V-Create or Shell Smash. The Prankster set can also run Taunt and Curse, the first of which former stops Pokemon from setting up and using support moves, and the second of which latter (improves flow) damages the opposing Pokemon, preventing sweeps and Baton Pass shenanigans. Curse's use is limited,(AC) however,(AC) because of the large HP loss. (add space) Whirlwind is another option for the Prankster set,(RC) that and works well with Destiny Bond, which will remain in effect until Aegislash's next move, letting it phaze sweepers. Aegislash can also run a Regenerator set with Assault Vest, as it is one of the few things that isn't 2HKO'd 2HKOed by Choice Specs Aerilate Boomburst from Mega Rayquaza. It also (subjective but it shows that you are still talking about the Assault Vest set, which is what I presume you are doing here) has the niche of being immune to Secret Sword, which Mega Rayquaza occasionally runs. Levitate can be run to cover Aegislash's Ground weakness, which is useful,(AC) as Precipice Blades is a common coverage move on -Ate users. However, the prevalence of Thousand Arrows reduces its use. Aegislash can also be run with Stance Change as a surprise sweeper or lure.(period)

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dark-(add hyphen)types**: Dark-(add hyphen)types like Mega Tyranitar and Yveltal deal lots of damage to Aegislash due to its Dark-(add hyphen)type weakness,(RC) and can carry Pursuit to eliminate weakened Aegislash if it is weakened ("weakened Aegislash" just seems weird, as we're writing about Aegislash). They also commonly run Poison Heal, giving them an immunity to Spore and Will-O-Wisp. However,(AC) they must be wary of burns if they are running a different set.
(add line break)
**Substitute and Taunt**: Pokemon carrying these moves, like Gale Wings Mega Rayquaza, render both of Aegislash's sets ineffective, as their its main moves are useless against them. Substitute can be Encored (don't know if it is a correct term to use. If it is then keep it) by Prankster Aegislash,(AC) though.
(add line break)
**Super effective coverage moves**: Coverage moves like Earth Power and Precipice Blades can take out Aegislash, especially if they come from boosted or powerful attackers like Mega Rayquaza. Pokemon carrying Mold Breaker, like Mega Mewtwo X, can also bypass Flash Fire to hit Aegislash with Fire-(add hyphen)type moves.
(add line break)
**Red Orb Groudon**: Red Orb Groudon beats most variants of Aegislash,(RC) due to its natural burn immunity and Super-Effective super effective Ground and Fire STABs STAB moves. The Prankster set can put it to sleep with Spore,(AC) however.
(add line break)
**Magic Bounce**: Magic Bounce Pokemon can nullify most of Aegislash's effectiveness aside from absorbing damage.

A Speed-decreasing nature lets Aegislash move after other Aegislash,(RC) so it can gain momentum more consistently when using Baton Pass.
If "so" is being used to say "with the aim/goal that" or "in order to/for/that", there should be no comma since the sentence flows better, and the "so" is being used to explain something based on the aforementioned definitions.

It also renders Aegislash immune to Will-O-Wisp, so Imposter and Magic Bounce users can't use it against itself.
If "so" is being used to mean "therefore", you can put a comma (like you did) since it flows better, but you don't need one. I generally like the comma here, but again, it isn't necessary

Curse's use is limited,(AC) however,(AC) because of the large HP loss.
Any time you are using "however", there should be a comma both before and after it. Of course if "however" is the first word in the sentence then there's no comma before, and if it is the last word in the sentence there is no comma after.

It also stops a Pokemon trying to stall out Destiny Bond's PP by using non-attacking moves, and it can lock Pokemon into moves ineffective against Aegislash...
The "and" is what I'm getting at. These are two independent clauses, so you need to have a comma before the "and" (which is what you did). An independent clause is something that can stand alone in its own sentence and make sense. Using the above as an example, you can find out if they are independent clauses by breaking the sentence up into two sentences and getting rid of the "and":
"It also stops a Pokemon trying to stall out Destiny Bond's PP by using non-attacking moves." That makes sense.
"It can lock Pokemon into moves ineffective against Aegislash..." That also makes sense.

Heart Swap can also be used over Topsy-Turvy,(RC) and can ignore Substitute.
Based on the rule that I just mentioned, you only put a comma after the "and" if you have two independent clauses. In this case, there is only one independent clause, so you don't use the comma. We can can figure this out by making it two sentences:
"Heart Swap can also be used over Topsy-Turvy." That makes sense.
"Can ignore Substitute." This doesn't make sense and can't stand alone in its own sentence, so this is a dependent clause, thus the comma is not used after the "and".

I just told you these things so you will not make these mistakes again when writing other analyses, and it also makes the GP checkers' jobs easier

[OVERVIEW]

Aegislash sees high usage in Balanced Hackmons, since its great mixed defensive stats allow it to to become act as either a bulky special or physical wall. As a Steel-type, it gains has ( or can rely on, whatever you prefer, but gain kinda implies something changes, whereas its typing stays the same in any case) a resistance to common attacking types, like Dragon, Ice, Flying, and Fairy, the last three of which let it check -ate users. Aegislash's Ghost-typing Ghost typing gives useful immunities to Normal and Fighting, which can be seen in Endeavor Shedinja and common Fighting coverage for other Steel-types. It also gives Aegislash an immunity to being trapped, so things like Magnet Pull and Magma Storm can be switched out of. However, Aegislash is also weak to two common coverage types in Ground and Fire as a result of its type. typing. Furthermore, it is weak to Dark, which is extremely common on walls and attackers alike in the form of Knock Off. Dark, along with Ghost, are also prevalent attacking types in Pokemon like Mega Tyranitar, Gyarados, and Gengar. The Dark-type weakness also allows Aegislash to be taken out with Pursuit easily. As a result of these hindrances, it faces tough competition with from Registeel, which is slightly bulkier and trades Aegislash's Dark- and Ghost-type weaknesses for a Fighting-type weakness.

Recover keeps Aegislash healthy so that it can continue to function as a wall. Whirlwind is useful for phazing sweepers, especially those behind a Substitute. Topsy-Turvy can be used instead to invert the opponent's foe's boosts, which is better against set-up setup sweepers and Contrary users without Substitute. Baton Pass lets Aegislash pivot out, gaining momentum, but also passing pass along harmful effects like Leech Seed and Parting Shot stat drops. U-turn can be used instead so Aegislash isn't shut down by Taunt, but it can be blocked by Protect and can give Aegislash damage from a Rocky Helmet. Parting Shot is another option that weakens attackers, but creates a problem, problem if the opponent is carrying a Contrary user, user and is also blocked by Soundproof and Magic Bounce Pokemon.

Aegislash can be switched into attackers whose STAB attacks are resisted, although it is advised to scout for coverage moves that could kill KO it first. Recover should be used often to keep Aegislash healthy, especially since powerful attacks like Aerilate Mega Rayquaza's Aerilate-boosted Boomburst and Contrary Draco Meteor deal lots of damage. Use Whirlwind (i assume ?_? ) against Pokemon behind a Substitute or set-up setup sweepers. It also stops a Pokemon trying to stall out Destiny Bond's PP by using non-attacking moves, and it can lock Pokemon into moves that are ineffective against Aegislash, like Fighting- and Normal-type moves and -ate Fake Out.
