ORAS OU Balanced Offense (~1500)

I've been playing competitive pokemon for a while now and just decided to make an RMT on a team that has found success built around some of my favorite pokemon. Bulky offense/balanced is my favorite playstyle and this team fits it to a tee. It is built around a somewhat uncommon but very reliable core of Conkeldurr+Gengar as the cover a lot of each others checks while being able to do massive damage in return. I haven't seen a team that is really similar to this, so without further ado here is the team!

In Depth:

Conkeldurr:

Here's my baby, AV Conkeldurr. While it is by far his most common set many teams do not have a solid answer to it. While the Lati twins shut it down, they can absolutely not switch in due to it carrying knock off and ice punch. with it's amazing movepool, and ability to force switches it is able to just decimate teams at will. Along with it's outstanding offensive game comes the fantastic bulk that AV gives it. AV allows it to actually switch in on many special attackers and then force them to switch fearing the drain punch. But, that's not all. Guts allows Conkeldurr to willingly sponge up status for the entire team which is fantastic considering my clefable is unaware. Once this thing gets statused it is probably one of the scariest things in OU by far. This huy is absolutely amazing and I'm quite positive that B rank does not serve it justice in the Viability rankings, but hey it lets me keep this gem somewhat to myself.

Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 236 SpD / 20 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Knock Off
- Ice Punch

Gengar:

Here's the other half of my offensive machine. While this team is bulky offense, and gengar is anything but the like, this team needs him. What gengar gives this team is the ability to break stall while also being able to just be a huge offensive presence. While, gengar has shit defensive stats it has a lot going for it in typing and being evasive in a way with substitute. If gengar is allowed to set up a sub it gets a free turn to wreak havoc on the opponent, and believe me this guy doesn't need very many turns to win the game. I decided to run will-o-wisp because it helps deal with bisharp and ttar switching in and cripple mega-gross before it mega evolves, while also allowing me to beat chansey one on one. Overall I know this set is a little bit quirky, but it gets what I need done.

Gengar @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Shadow Ball
- Taunt
- Substitute

Rotom-W:

The aforementioned pokemon both lose to talonflame so a check was absolutely paramount, and rotom wash was the perfect answer to the problem. Talonflame literally can't do anything to this guy and it's exactly what I needed. I put T-wave over will-o-wisp because having two pokemon with it seemed a little redundant honestl and Twave is unexpected on this and cripples common switch ins such as lati@s more than will-o-wisp does. The EVs are to help against the lati@s draco and other special attacks because honestly max speed BD azumarill isn't common, and unaware clefable beats it as well. While there isn't another half to this volt turn core, it does very well as a standalone pivot because the ground types that try to block it get bopped by a hydro on a prediction or just the next turn. Overall this guy fits his niche perfectly.

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 44 SpD
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Thunder Wave
- Pain Split

Scizor:

I wanted a steel type to pair with gengar that could sponge up priority, and Mega-Scizor was perfect. With it's colossal base defense stat it eats up physical hits for breakfast. The beauty of scizor is that just like Conkeldurr it provides a solid switch in while also being able to hit back with great power. Many things that gengar lures in are set up fodder for Scizor and after one SD this thing is a problem for anyone trying to stop it. Bullet punch+Knock off is pretty standard on this because of coverage and knock off being knock off. I put EVs in Spdef in order to set up on the latis and other special attackers. I honestly believe that this guy is the most versatile mega, and he finds himself on A LOT of my teams for good reason.

Scizor-Mega @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 84 Atk / 176 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off
- Swords Dance
- Roost

Clefable:

So here is Gengar's pink little cousin himself. It amazes me how many ways I am able to find uses for this little guy. Like honestly, the utility is endless for it. I put it on the team as a Mega-Sableye check but it ended up being absolutely amazing. It checks literally every set up sweeper (Bar mega-scizor) and is able to take care of just about any physical threat. Not only that, but it's also my stealth rock setter that every team in OU frankly needs. The set is the pretty standard wish pass set minus heal bell because I need rocks and Conkldurr prefers status so the synergy just wasn't there.

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Moonblast
- Wish
- Protect

Latios:

So here is Mr. Utility himself, except I'm not using him for that. I decided to go with roost instead of defog because quite frankly this team doesn't suffer too badly from rocks and there aren't any sash users so why not take full advantage of this things amazing offensive prowess? This set is meant to lure in common checks such as Heatran and Ferrothorn and bop them with EQ and Hp fire respectively. I put roost over defog because this thing actually has some nice special bulk and is my only true switch in to keldeo so roosting off the damage is really nice. Overall Latios will be LAtios in this OU metagame and this is no exception.

Latios (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Earthquake
- Roost

So that's all for the team! Since this is my first post any help would be largely appreciated. I'll try to do my best to keep the thread updated as I test your suggestions. So that's it guys, bye :]

Honestly, I don't think you should run Bulky Gengar. It's just not too good imo. You could maybe try Focus Sash or Life Orb. On rotom, T-Wave isn't too good since Greninja doesn't exist anymore, you can replace it w/ Will O since Azumarill is coming back. I also can't tell if SpD is Speed, or Sp Defense. Use Spe for Speed and SpDef for Special Defense. Also, make sure to run 0 IVs on your specially based pokemon so you take less from Confusion and Foul Play.

Hope it helps :]
