[SET COMMENTS]
Barraskewda is the fastest unboosted Pokemon in the UU tier and, combined with its respectable Attack stat, is a great wallbreaker and revenge killer. While Barraskewda boasts a powerful offensive presence, it is extremely frail, restricting it from pivoting into even resisted hits well. Close Combat provides Barraskewda with a powerful coverage option to break through some bulky Water-types like Milotic and Rotom-W, both of which it can 2HKO, though it can only 2HKO the former after Stealth Rock damage. Close Combat is also its strongest move to revenge kill the likes of Cobalion and Heliolisk. Ice Fang allows Barraskewda to OHKO Noivern and gives it the coverage to hit Grass-types like Roserade and Tsareena. Crunch is Barraskewda's strongest coverage option to help it break past Doublade and Jellicent and allows it to do significantly more damage to Psychic-types like Reuniclus and Celebi. Aqua Jet is an option over Crunch that helps it revenge kill foes like Choice Scarf Darmanitan and Chandelure that threaten to OHKO Barraskewda; however, it is recommended to only use this with a Life Orb, as locking into Aqua Jet can be easily punished. Choice Band is the preferred item to boost its high Attack stat further, allowing it to OHKO foes like Toxtricity and Inteleon after Stealth Rock. Life Orb is a viable option that allows Barraskewda to boost the power behind its coverage options while giving it a better offense matchup; however, this cuts into Barraskewda's already poor longevity and makes it significantly weaker, making it struggle to revenge kill foes like Cobalion as easily.
Entry hazard users like Rhyperior and Roserade are imperative to help bring foes like Cobalion and Milotic in range of its Attacks; the former can also pivot into Noivern, which takes advantage of Barraskewda Choice locked into anything that isn't Ice Fang. Roserade can also remove bulky Water-types like Gastrodon and the aforementioned Milotic, allowing Barraskewda to spam Liquidation more easily and provide Toxic Spikes support, which helps Barraskewda break through bulky Water-types like Gastrodon and Jellicent more easily by putting them on a timer. Barraskewda struggles to break through Golisopod and fears being revenge killed by First Impression, so checks to it like Noivern and Rotom-W are appreciated. Both of these partners can also bring Barraskewda in safely with U-turn and Volt Switch, respectively, against foes like Gigalith and Roserade. Wallbreakers like Chandelure, Gardevoir, and Lucario can wear down bulky foes like Milotic and Escavalier for Barraskewda to potentially clean late-game. Celebi appreciates Barraskewda's ability to remove one of its best revenge killers in Noivern and threaten foes like Incineroar and Escavalier so that it to clean late-game. In return, Celebi can remove bulky Water-types and weaken Doublade for Barraskewda. Toxtricity can also threaten Water-types like Mantine and appreciates Barraskewda's ability to remove Rhyperior and Gigalith for Toxtricity to wallbreak or sweep late-game with Shift Gear more easily. Escavalier and Incineroar are able to pressure Grass-types like Celebi and Roserade that can take advantage of a Choice-locked Barraskewda.
