in this world since the start of time barriers have caused issues for humanity be it the barrier of colour be it barrier of different societies and be it the barrier of areas or regions but it all results in issues and separation and results in despair
BARRIER TO BE BROKEN:
In random battles there is this clause known as the lvl 100 clause according to it no pokemon can go higher than lvl 100 now there is a big problem with this not all mons are viable as we know legendary pokemon like zacian,calyrex e.t.c are given a lower level than most mons to balance the game and make the most amount of mons viable in random battles but the problem is not all mons are viable in randoms for example our favourite fish AKA magikarp is not viable the reason is simple the splashy boi isnt viable because justice is not done to it if we can break the lvl 100 barrier all mons will be equal and harmony will be brought to the world a fisherman will be proud to use his fish and a bugcatcher would be proud to use his bug with the lvl 100 barrier gone all mons will be equal and there will be no difference in pokemon will low stats and high stats in this way the metagame will be more diverse and it will be more fun also lvl300 magikarp is very poggers soo yeah.... also if u think this goes against the real pokemon games then so does the concept of randbats in the first place there is no such thing as randbats in real pokemon games so yeah....
i hope you will pay attention to this and not think of it as a joke and lets make it happen :).

I think that numbers are boring so after level 100 we should start having special names for the extra levels. Like if you make your heracross level 104 it would be way cooler to call it "HERACROSS SUPER SAIYAN IV" instead, or if it were level 111 it would be called "HERACROSS BARYON MODE".

The amount of levels added to the cap would be limited only by the creativity of gamefreak and the number of transformation names you can steal from shounen animes.

P.S. Can't wait to use my "TOXAPEX WARRIOR OF LIBERATION" and "BLISSEY PERFECTED ULTRA INSTINCT" on ladder.

um actually, due to how the scaling of mon stats works, mons actually get more bulkier than strong as they level up. This means that if the same pokemon with the same EVs and IVs attacked the same other mon, it would deal more damage if both were at lvl 50 than if both were at lvl100. By increasing levels over 100, smogon would be promoting a stall metagame. The simple solution is just to unban mega rayquaza because it was balanced and you just need to learn to adapt. Here ends my essay on why randbats levels should not be over lvl 100

naw ive played custom games at level 666 and it's just identical to level 100 but all numbers are proportionately scaled up.
LC (and level 1 cup) is definitely an edge case tho; things are generally frailer due to the HP rounding, yes
 
is there a metagame where you can only use earlygame mons like rattata and purrloin and the only moves they can use are tackle, growl, leer, etc.? that would be quite funny. sort of like lc if lc was good
