Battle Tower Simulator

Hello, I'm sort of new here, haven't posted much, and I don't know if anyone so far has thought of or done this, but I was thinking of writing a program that can help you train for the battle tower, sort of a simulation program, where you can create your team and choose your opponents (or randomize them). to help go for a record and be better prepared against threats to your team. I think it would be nice to get a few people's help or support on this. I'm pretty new to programming things like this, and I'm not far at all into the project, but I think it is a good idea. I am currently writing it for the mac, using xcode, so if anyone with experience would like to collaborate or something on this, I figured that this might be a good place to look. Thank you for your time.

Why would you need to "train" for the Battle Tower? It's not hard to get your 100+ wins. I'm not knowledgeable in programming games so I can't help you but I just think that to make a Battle Tower Simulator is a waste of time. Just look at the Battle Frontier Records thread for ideas for a team. But yea, the Battle Tower isn't hard at all.

Better idea: just write a bot that can play pokemon fairly well. Then turn it loose on the ladder. That way I can play pickup games again without having waste nine battles out of ten on random scrubs.

I don't have a great understanding of programming but how hard would it be to replicate the Battle Tower? You would have to give the opponents pokemon better chance of crits and stuff: I swear in the BT they have higher rates. Usually the computer will play straightforward: IT will almost never predict, but gets good luck, and after a few rounds the opponents team can actually adjust to your lead.

Opponents team also has 29/30/31 IVs across the board.

People have looked at the games coding, and in Emerald at least, the opponents in the BF didn't have higher chances of critical hits, or better accuracy or evasiveness than they should do. However, a lot of Pokemon hold items such as Scope Lens and Brightpowder.
