Doesn't it also say double elimination in both the signups thread and the round 1 thread? Why did the format suddenly change on us last minute?

It was supposed to be single elimination from the start, as the 2022 Opens also were (like this one, or this one); apologies for any mistake on the OP, that was a mistake born from copypasting the opening of the Seasonal

(as a general rule, at least for our circuits, only the Seasonals are double elim anyway)
