I am new to competetive gameplay so please feel free to give me all the constructive criticism in the world.
My Team at a Glance:
Let's Take a Closer Look:
ACCELGOR
Ability: Unburden
Item: Focus Sash
Moves:
Agility
Substitute
Baton Pass
Bug Buzz
EVS: 156 HP / 48 Def / 48 SpD / 252 Spe
I know you are all thinking, "Why the hell does Accelgor have agility? The only reason I gave Accelgor agility is to benefit my Tangrowth. Tangrowth is one of the slowest 'mon in the RU tier. Instead of using my Tangrowth as a wall, I am using him more as a Physical sweeper... more or less. He is also used to benefit Qwilfish for setting up quick spikes and toxic spikes.
TANGROWTH
Ability: Regenerator
Item: Life Orb
Moves:
Power Whip
Hidden Power (Fire)
Earthquake
Growth
EVS: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Now, I use my Tangrowth to deal as much damage as fast as possible and with Accelgor's speed boost, Tangrowth should easily be able to out speed and 2KO if not 1KO Ferraligator, Kabutops, Sharpedo, ect. Growth is used when under Accelgor's substitute, making Tangrowth an offensive threat. Earthquake is always a good move to have, and HP (fire) easily counters Ferroseed and other grass type defensive threats with the SpA bonus.
UXIE
Ability: Levitate
Item: Light Clay
Moves:
Light Screen
Reflect
Thunder Wave
Phychic
EVS: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Uxie's purpose is straight forward, set up the screens and get the hell out. Thunder wave also gives me the advantage, switching into Tangrowth or Porygon-Z. I also gave Uxie Phychic, a good STAB so that it will not be horribly subject to Taunt.
PORYGON-Z
Ability: Adaptability
Item: Choice Scarf
Moves:
Tri-Attack
Hidden Power (Fighting)
Dark Pulse
Trick
EVS: 4 HP / 252 SpD / 252 SpA
Porygon is used as my special sweeper. Unfortunately, he can be revenged easily and that is something I am having trouble with. I usually resort to keeping Porygon-Z as a counter to Cofagrigus, Dusknoir, Drapion, and other defensive walls. Tri-Attack is a killer, as we all know, with the Adaptability STAB boost as well as Porygon-Z's high SpA. He's my weekest link in defense but makes up for it in offense with quick KO's.
COFAGRIGUS
Ability: Mummy
Item: Leftovers
Moves:
Haze
Will-O-Wisp
Shadow Ball
Rest
EVS: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 SpA
Cofagrigus is my best defensive 'mon. I can rely on him by taking heavy physical attacks. He also has Haze which is always good to have on a team.
and last, and still probably least...
QWILFISH
Ability: Poison Point
Item: Leftovers
Moves:
Toxic Spikes
Spikes
Waterfall
Poison Jab
EVS: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Qwilfish's purpose is pretty simple too, set up spikes and toxic spikes. Obviously Waterfall is a good STAB move that can flinch the target, but I find myself relying a lot on the flinch and the status effect. He is also the only 'mon on my team that can easily counter Moltres besides Porygon-Z.
So that's my team. It's pretty straight forward. Please give me all the advice and criticism you have! Trust me... I need it.
