LC Bergmite

[OVERVIEW]
While Bergmite might seem like a good defensive spinner thanks to its high physical bulk and access to Recover, its typing dashes any hope it has of being viable. Being a pure Ice-type, Bergmite is weak to many common offensive Pokemon in LC, such as Timburr and Ponyta, as well as the Stealth Rock it's supposed to remove. Its poor special bulk and lack of any significant offensive pressure isn't doing it any favors either. Staryu is a much better option for a Rapid Spinner, as it has a much better typing and better offensive prowess as well as access to Recover.

[SET]
name: Bulky Spinner
move 1: Rapid Spin
move 2: Recover
move 3: Avalanche
move 4: Toxic
item: Eviolite
ability: Sturdy
nature: Impish
evs: 44 Atk / 156 Def / 236 SpD / 52 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
This set tries to act as a bulky Rapid Spinner with good longevity due to Recover. However, its terrible typing and lacking offensive capabilities makes it generally ineffective. Staryu’s superior typing and special bulk, as well as its greater offensive presence, make it a far better user of a set like this.

[OVERVIEW]
Frame this as while Bergmite might seem to be an appealing defensive Rapid Spinner due to its impressive physical bulk and access to Recover, its Ice typing hinders it drastically since that leaves it weak to rocks and many very common offensive Pokemon in LC. Then explain that Bergmite lacks any sort of significant offensive pressure and has terrible special bulk. Finish off by explaining that Staryu is a much better Rapid Spinner option on virtually every team.

[SET]
These EVs aren't optimized at all. 44 Atk / 156 Def / 236 SpD / 52 Spe is my personal recommendation, actually survives +2 Leaf Storm if rocks aren't up. Moves are ok, walled hard by Mareanie but such is the life of Bergmite.

[SET COMMENTS]
Set tries to be a bulky Rapid Spinner with survivability due to Recover, but its generally lacking offensive pressure and terrible type make it generally ineffective. Reiterate that Staryu is a much better choice.
