Slice n Dice

IMO Ice Shard is the best. It OHKOS dragons if coming from weavile or mamoswine and holding life orb/ CB. Also since fliers are so fucking common this metagame, it is even move useful?
which do YOU think is the best?


EDIT: I was a retard to forget Vacuum Wave, Shadow Sneak, and Fake Out. I did this a bit hastily so forgive me. Just say if you prefer them, etc.
 
Vacuum Wave, to bad you don't have it listed. Vacuum Wave OHKO's all Weaviles, and can easily stop a Tyranitar who managed to get a DD in on you. Fighting is just a good attacking type overall to. It's also a special-based priority attack, which makes it even cooler.

You also forgot Shadow Sneak.
 
Well...all these attacks are the exact same, except for type. So it's basically just asking which attack type is the best out of these. Also, you forgot Vacuum wave >_>

Edit: Ack, beaten to it. And I didn't even think of Shadow Sneak.

Anyways, I'm going with Ice Shard. Way too many pokemon weak to it.
 
Ice Shard. Pokemon like Weavile seem to lose very little from choosing this over a stronger physical ice attack because of the number of ice weaks around.

Mach Punch is definitely a close second though.

Anyways, I voted Ice Shard. With all of the Dragon, flying, and ground types in OU, a priority Ice move is a huge help.
 
I'm going to vote for Ice Shard.Dragon's are as common as ever,and you'll have to take 'em down somehow.STAB Choice Band Base 125 Attack Ice Shard coming from Weavile is nasty.

Though,I could imagine if an Ambipom got a Belly Drum from a Smeargle,

+6 Choice Banded Adamant Base 100 Attack Technician Quick Attack/Fake Out is pretty powerful.

I voted Mach Punch, it scares the crap out of Tyranitar and allows quick kills on frail Pokemon like Smeargle, Houndoom, Weavile, Rampardos etc. Everybody is making a big deal out of Ice's coverage, but lets remember that Mach Punch hits more types SE.

Ice: Ground, Dragon, Flying, Grass.
Fight: Normal, Dark, Steel, Rock, Ice

5-4. :)
 
Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, Hitmontop, Breloom, Infernape and Magmortar are all great Pokemon that have access to Mach Punch. And for the record, the only other Poke that learns it is...well, Ledian...
 
If Fake Out was there I would have gone with that, but instead I went with Bullet Punch, since I don't need an Ice Type Priority move on my team. In general Ice Shard definitely for me, but yeah
 
My personal favorite is Ice Shard, but I just have to echo Lee's sentiment on Mach Punch. Too bad Hitmontop does better overall with Intimidate over Technician...
 
Definitely Ice Shard. It KOs Dragons. It's especially useful after the opponent's Salamence has DDed a couple of times...
 
I rather like Quick Attack. Many things that learn Quick Attack also learn Swords Dance, which makes it really deadly. Things such as Technician Life Orb Scizor annihilate things with it, because remember, Quick Attack has very few things resisting it. Although Ghosts resist it, that's what the other moves in their movset are for when they decide to switch in.

Zangoose can also rip things to shreds with it and destroy Ghosts with Shadow Claw.

Pretty nice if you ask me.

I was actually considering posting about how terrible Sucker Punch is. C'mon, surely anybody can see that coming from a mile away. It's a waste of a turn, because against any decent opponent, they're gonna either use Substitute, switch out, or just not give a damn and hit you anyway. When I was using Honchkrow a while back, I stayed well clear of Sucker Punch.

It has its uses on odd ocassions, but I find the other moves in this thread to be far better,

Sucker Punch has 80BP. We're just talking about 40BP priority attacks.

Anyway, they're are all the same except for type. So I vote for Aqua Jet just because it's got a cool animation. ;)
 
The reason I think CBcross or even CScross is so broken because they don't have a priority move for Psychic, Fire OR Flying, the 3 weaknesses Heracross has, same story for breloom, except breloom has Ice Shard to worry about.

Back on topic, my favourite is gotta be bullet punch, the fact that someone with 720 attack can utilise this effectively (CB Medicham) or a 609 attack with STAB (CB Metagross) hits haaaard as hell.

Aqua Jet is the only priority move that is supported by weather and just makes it THAT much deadlier, 2nd priority move fav.
 
I voted Ice Shard, but Aqua Jet is definitely the coolest. First time I saw Floatzel's Aqua Jet I was like "HOLY SHI~T!!!" and then I noticed it did jack damage to me. :/ Still, the animation rocked. xD
 
I think this completely depends on the availability of the move. Tact wise, Ice Shard is prob'ly the best for obvious reasons, but what can learn it? Weavile, Mamoswine and Donphan are the main ones but it's not many. Aqua Jet is great primarily for Azumarill, but simply because Azumarill can learn it if that makes any sense. I love Bullet Punch - Don't get me wrong, Steel is a shit attacking type, but a priority move on a Pokemon such as Machamp is excellent imo, but if it learnt Mach Punch I'd use that for STAB. Am I making sense?
