Yup we are building a stall team featuring dipplin. As always, its not gonna be perfect, so please feel free to give me suggestions on how to make it better.
So yea lets reveal the team:
Team importable: https://pokepast.es/3749e1e03b809f9b
Team Breakdown:
Dipplin @ Eviolite
Ability: Sticky Hold
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 SpD
Bold Nature
- Recover
- Syrup Bomb
- Dragon Tail
- Infestation
Dipplin is actually a very good stall mon because of its insane physical bulk paired with eviolite and sticky hold so that it doesn't lose the extra eviolite bulk. Also this little thing walls one of the most threatening stallbreakers, ogerpon-wellspring. Dragon tail is used to force switches in tandem with hazards for insane amounts of passive damage and also to control setup sweepers (notably play rough ogerpon-w). Infestation to trap and syrup bomb bc why not.
Blissey @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Natural Cure
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Soft-Boiled
- Seismic Toss
- Calm Mind
- Shadow Ball
A standard blissey set which can eat up many special hits thanks to its sky high hp stat and very good spdef stat. it can switch in to various mons like ghold, specs pult and hit them with a super effective shadow ball and tis also a potential wincon thanks to calm mind. Overall a very solid stall mon to pair with a physically defensive dipplin.
Great Tusk @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
A support great tusk set with rocks, spin, eq, and knock off with max attack and speed. I added great tusk because I need hazard removal so that my own dipplin doesn't get worn down by rocks, spikes/tspikes and forced to recover the turn it switches in. This pokemon is also capable of tanking various hits with its high hp and def without any investment.
Dondozo @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Unaware
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Curse
- Liquidation
Unaware dondozo completely shuts down physical setup sweepers thank to unaware and is also another potential wincon with curse liquidation + rest sleeptalk to heal up. Dozo + dipplin makes for a physically unbreakable core capable of dealing actual damage to the opponent. All of my defensive mons are boots because hazards are very annoying.
Clodsire @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Unaware
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Spikes
- Toxic
- Earthquake
- Recover
Dondozo is the first unaware mon on the team to shut down phys attackers, but clodsire is on the team to ward off special setup sweepers that dondozo and blissey struggle to wall. Clod can provide good support in spikes and toxic, with can wear down opposing teams (unless they have boots). Although psyshock can be a problem, we have tera steel on this + mons like valiant can get chipped down by toxic damage and hazards.
Talonflame @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flame Body
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 148 Def / 108 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flamethrower
- Roost
- Defog
- Will-O-Wisp
A standard physically bulky talonflame with a good amount of speed investment to spread fast will-o-wisps and wall stallbreakers like meowscarada which is a major problem for this team (unless talonflame burns it). Added defog for extra hazard removal but u can replace this with u-turn or any other move if you like. This mon is a very underrated stall mon which walls meows.
so yea thats the team
