being a different type of game doesn't nullify a comparison of fun between the two games. the one thing i don't like about the audio diaries is that its easy to miss some, which i probably did. :(

Yeah they're pretty easy to miss. Reading the audio diaries in Bioshock and Lore in Metroid Prime games are really similar, a great way to flesh out a story in video games.
