Reminder that the slate doesn't end here!
We still need everyone to vote for your favourite submissions from each team.

A voter must vote on all team categories.
If there's three submissions on a category, they must vote for their most, and second most preffered submissions (Most Preffered = 2pts, Second Most Preffered = 1pt).

Example:
If X team submits 3 Pokemon:

Team X's Submissions
-Venusaur
-Ivysaur
-Bulbasaur

A vote would look like this:

Team X
Venusaur
Bulbasaur

In this case, Venusaur would gain 2pts, and Bulbasaur would gain 1pt.

Voting will last for 3 days!

Team 2 - Papillune, Dragallista
Team 3 - Sheildebral, Frigacid

With the next slate or maybe around the next roomtour, could we look into balance changes for certain mons? I feel there's improvements to the meta that could be easily done. Can't wait for the meta to settle and maybe to see it in PMPL or maybe Meta E in sometime spring next year, if Blank Canvas continues further.

THE AIR CRACKLES WITH ELECTRICITY: A deep dive into the tier's electric types.

Snaellcaster
Teamstyles: Stall, Bulky Offense, Hazardstack

The first of the electrics on this Meta D, since none of the old returning mons were. Snaellcaster focuses on getting leverage from its pretty nice defensive typing and great defensive abilities in status absorbing and hazard ignoring Magic Guard, or going all out on contact punishing with Iron Barbs and possibly Rocky Helmet. Currently Magic Guard is the better ability in most situations.

Snaell works best establishing pressure with its attacks that not that many mons want to switch in, those being knock off, body press and scald matching up decenty well against a good amount of physical attackers in the tier. You can abuse that switch leverage by healing up damage taken with Recover or punishing faster mons with thunder wave. The issue right now with Snaell, and spoilers, the reason its the weakest one in this list, is because it can get 2HKO'd by a good amount of attacks and it suffers from that as it's a very reactive mon. Common counters include Arsenstorm, Dionalces, Brainstrom, Orchrefait, and to a lesser extent, Kappa and Guttergar. The 4MMS syndrome it suffers means you won't have the stat spread you would like or the optimal moves until you see the enemy team. Still, it has decent-ish stats and very useful moves so it's a solid mid-low tier that can add value to your team if you need more bulk or knock support.

Wyrmware-N (The N stands for Neon)
Teamstyles: HO, Tempo

The second of the electric trio, and it couldn't be more different. Wyrmware-N focuses on getting switch-in buffs and having a good arsenal of offensive moves and pressure tools. Its statline is very balanced, sporting similar bulk to Dragapult and the exact same as Frospes, while having better (although you won't invest on it EVER) special bulk than Snaell, at the cost of speed and power, which are above average but seriously lacking compared to most top tiers. Where it makes up for it is with and absurd offensive movepool (Draco Meteor, Fire Blast, Volt Tackle, Dragon Hammer) while also possessing Dragon Dance which can be semi-safely clicked since Magic Bounce makes it immune to Taunt or Will-O-Wisp. Choiced Sets, mostly Scarf or Specs, are also dangerous to play around since it has amazing pivot tools with Flip Turn for Ground types or Volt Switch for damage while being able to deter walls thanks to its access to Trick. Its main shortcomings are having to play around faster, more powerful mons, and its lack of unboosted attacking power, a bevy of opposing super effective moves a lot of high tiers have as STAB or coverage, and in Choiced pivot sets, repeated exposure to hazards. Somewhat hard to pilot mon who hasn't seen much use yet but with undeniable high tier potential that might get developed in the future.

Horronimbus
Teamstyles: Bulky Offense

Last and definitely NOT least, we have Horronimbus, which in my opinion is the best out of the three, although it has really bad matchups in the current meta. Still, with a bulk compared to Zapdos, a very nice defensive and offensive typing, support moves, reliable healing, and the absolute same base Special Attack as the last two, it can fit snuggly into most bulk oriented teams. Its main traits are definitely Oblivion Wing which lets it deal neutral damage to a good amount of the meta while healing a nice chunk of whatever is in front of it or dares switch into it, and Volt Switch, being the most natural user of it since Snaellcaster lost access to it. Defog, Psychic Noise and Taunt give it a superb matchup against Stall, especially considering its mid speed means it will be able to outrun most if not all walls and apply the necessary status to them. Though, this same speed is its main downfall, being slower than all ice types except of Refrigigator, which funnily enough ties into it, this plus the fact all ices are primed for success in the meta at least in the current 2nd November state. As Horronimbus is locked into boots by proxy, it's extremely weak to knock especially if it's your lone hazard removal tool, and can be predicted and played around with relative ease by a competent player or teambuilder, although you usually won't regret having it in your team. If you're real and super funny you'll try to use it along Iron Mike for Choice Specs or Life Orb Quark Drive juicy goodness, even if Horronimbus doesn't benefit directly from the terrain.

And that's all! This has been my semi-comprehensive insight on all BC Meta D electric typed mons.
This was mostly made out of the wish to understand more this meta and due to the fact I was part of the creative process of all three mons, if this recieves support I might do more of deep dives, probably with more depth and about one singular mon. Tele out!

SHIVER ME TIMBERS!: A deep dive into the tier's ice types

Brainstrom
Teamstyles: Hyper Offense

Yes, this time we got FOUR Pokémon to discuss and this first one is the most straightforward of them all, Brainstrom. As the second fastest mon of the tier, it's undoubted that'll establish some sort of offensive pressure and yes, it can't be understated. 111 SpA and access to boosted Psychics and Psyshocks thanks to Psychic Surge, you establish both offensive pressure and defensive pressure, otherwise blocking Vaccuum waves from the likes of Valentine, Thunderclap from Offensive Snaell, and Sucker Punch from Offensive Deadward. Access to Calm Mind to boost (although not so easy to do), Freeze Dry, Surf and support options like dual screens, Taunt, and Stun Spore (Shoutout Auctoria) makes it pretty hard to face against. Yes, one of those mons that you can easily lose on teambuilder too. As weaknesses, its defenses are subpar and the super unfortunate defensive typing makes it prone to get revenge killed by scarfers or mons that can tank two hits, but not any priority users, remember. That also makes it a momentum sink, since it doesn't have any pivoting and it's not particularly easy to brinng in on fast pivots or raw switches due to fear of the retaliatory hit. Still, great Pokémon through and through

Frospes
Teamstyles: HO, Bulky Offense (somehow)

A beast you can never go wrong with, Frospes has some incredible capabilities that make it, in my humble opinion, one of the top 5, if not top 3 threats to look out for in this meta. Extremely slippery thanks to access to Parting Shot and the 5th fastest speed in the meta. Suprisingly hard to kill (lives a +252 Dragallista Vacuum wave no invested) thanks to 90/75/75 bulk. Very hard hitting mainly due to Triple Axel Skill Link and Bullet Seed, Crunch being a nice second STAB and having access to Aqua Step, although harder to slot due to its already fast speed. It can pivot out of hard matchups softening the blow for bulkier mons or sweepers with a resist to the predicted move, that being the reason it works so well in Bulky Offense too, it would be egregious if it'd had access to Knock so we're grateful it does not. As for the weaknesses, we could say exploitable defensive typing, alongside of semi-reliance on boots so it can't boost its already great 111 Atk, weak to common scarfers like Orchre and Flingangel, prone to priority although that can be remedied by running both Brain and Fros, which in part created the teamstyle I call "Ice Package", alongside a little dude we'll talk about just after this.

Frigacid
Teamstyles: Probably anything but mostly HO and Tempo

The weirdest and probably most interesting (and maybe annoying) Ice type and the enabler of Ice Package. Frig enjoys the fourth fastest speed tier of the meta, barely outrunning Frospes, and allowing it to pivot even faster with Chilly Reception (no, it doesn't have negative priority) which also sets the snow, bolstering the defense of your (and also the enemies') ice type mon's defense, thus establishing itself as an ice type mon enabler, while also being able to put Steel and Poison types on a timer, thanks to Corrosion Toxic, which alongside Protect to scout moves and tick Toxic, gives a more tempo approach to Ice types and your team as a whole. Ice Beam and more offensive picks can be made, like CM Hex or Venoshock, which might catch the opponent surprised, as Ice Type offense is very nice against giants like Deadward, and Arsen (which can't be poisoned due to Neutralising Gas [Shoutout Gaboswampert]). The shortcomings this mon has, which it does have, is the prominence of status immune or status absorbant mons, for example, Griz, Dion, Snaell (rip), Arsen and to a lesser extent too, Wyrm. It's also pretty fragile and not that immediately strong, so dispatching it and using Heal Bell or some kind of status removal is also effective. Lastly, it kind of suffers from 4MMS, or rather, 3MMS since you kinda always want to run Toxic anyway. A very interesting Mon.

Refrigigator
Teamstyles: Tempo (prediction)

I'll be honest (and probably brief), this Mon is pretty unknown to me. Not only it is very new, by the risky nature it has, the success can fluctuate quite a bit. It is undoubteldy strong; 105 Atk and access to Dragon Dance, although with a iffy defensive typing is very scary, it works kind of like a more direct, more difficult Valentine. With access to Close Combat and maybe even Flame Wheel coupled with Technician, it can nail Steel types pretty hard, and has two very nice STABs that couple with said Technician. Ice Shard nails faster mons like Dead, Drug, or Wool, which threaten it out, and Breaking Swipe softens possible counterattack by a slower physical attacker, while having 90 BP. The clear weaknesses it faces are, as mentioned, the exploitable defensive face of its typing, its sluggish speed when it hasn't DDanced, and the reliance on Boots to be able to eat hits when hazards are up, as well as the priority Ice Shard not being enough to win interactions against mons like Dionalces, Fling, Iusperare or Valentine... But that's called having counters so it shouldn't be judged harshly. Thus, it proves itself a very dangerous setup monster, especially with hazards up, and even more under snow, but remember Ice Shard can't hit if you've sent out Brain not long ago, ok?

And that's all! This has been my semi-comprehensive overview on the chilly clammy ice types of Blank Canvas Meta D.
It's undeniable that having strong Ice Types is always fun. Who doesn't like a Parfae? Funnily enough 50% were added on the last slate. Crazy, right? I don't have much else to say, they're all really good, give them a try yourself. Tele out!

AHOY LANDLUBBERS!: A submarine dive into the tier's water types

Honeydue
Teamstyles: HO, Hazardstack

I hope none of my readers were expecting me to go over Snaell again; no, and even if in retrospect I think I was very nice to it, the wound is still recent so we'll move on. Honeydue shines and gleams for three very important reasons: It is virtually immune to any kind of priority, irregardless of whatever terrain is set, has a very grateful movepool with dual CM and BU, with twin 105s on Atk and Spa respectively, and is the sole and only user of Sticky Web in this tier (thankfully). This gives it a great niche of a semi nuke lead that can threaten many mons out and set Webs semi snugly, or use and abuse Flip Turn to gain momentum over the match. This momentum pressure is what can be used to set up a sneaky CM or BU and sweep mindlessly from that position. Though, with great bee power comes great bee responsibility, so lo, weaknesses be upon ye. First, unless you want it to hardlead and force trades and smuggle webs, you rely on boots so your damage might not be as grand as the likes of the Icy Duo, speaking of which, Brainstrom has access to CM, priority blocking by proxy, Ice Beam, Surf, +6 SpA and a whopping +11 Spe, although it lacks pivoting. As the 13th fastest Pokémon, priority might prove innecessary. This factors, although milder than most weaknesses on other mons, might make it prone to being overlooked in teambuilder. Come on, give it a try!

Kappaqua
Teamstyles: Semistall, Tempo, Bulky Offense

I'm gonna be real, as good as Gutter is proving itself to be, it really does nothing new in this meta, really. So we move on to our last (wait, really?) Water type, in Kappaqua the diet Swampert. Although calling it diet would be a true disservice, since Kappa enjoys the boons of a plentiful, marvelous movepool Swampert would step on grass for, believe me. Access to Flip Turn, Toxic, Shore Up, Bulk Up, Earthquake, Aqua Jet, Stealth Rocks and Icicle Crash give it plenty of tools to make use of, alongside of only one weakness in Grass, and Dry Skin giving it an extra immunity against an otherwise neutral type against it. Not only that, but having 105 Atk and mid speed can mean breaking walls with relative ease. So, what's the catch, right? Well, for starters, not gonna sugarcoat it; 85/80/80 is not wallworthy, for instance Frospes has 90/75/75 bulk and +32 speed. The meta doesn't treat it kindly at all, with Dion and Brain hitting it for x4 and being the sole Water type with no ice resistance, while being pretty vulnerable to status and getting worn down over a long match. Still, Kappa has some potential utility for those who have no other mon in mind, or just want a mon that absolutely pisses on Snaell's grave, for some reason. Usable, but maybe buff-deserving.

And that's all! This has been my semi-comprehensive overview on the sea dwelling Water types of Blank Canvas Meta D.
Feels weird when a top 3 type has very middle of the pack mons, especially when we just talked about Ice prevalence. Still, these water types and the two ones I didn't talk about but we should all know the schtick about their niches and strenghts. Having a Water on your team is often beneficial, so don't be scared by my judgement and try them out. Please? Tele out!

VENTURE INTO THE LAIR: A deep dive into the tier's dragon types

Drug
Teamstyle: Absolute HOslop, Hazardstack maybe

One must understand that as we do more mons, the categories will get more barren and barren. This one saves me 3 Dragons I won't mention! Talk about cutting corners! Speaking of which, Drug. As straightforward as a Mon can get, Drug has middling 90 mixed offenses, pretty garbage bulk in
70/60/60, and a maiming typing in Dragon/Bug (get it?). So what's the use, you might ask? Well less of a Drug dealer and more of a Janitor, because this Mon CLEANS. Fastest in the tier at an absolute 130, a nifty boosting ability in Supreme Overlord to bolster BOTH attacking stats, and fortunate moves for a nuke in Flare Blitz (which we'll mention later), Draco Meteor and U-Turn to reposition to nuke again. As you might imagine, its main weakness is relying on having at least half your team down to be laying down Meteors, being extremely prone to getting picked off by priority, especially Ice Shard, and wearing itself down from FB or rocks if you run life orb for the extra oomph, which might be worth it. A very hard mon to pilot and get high value from, but can clean up weakened teams once you set it in the right spot. I overlooked it at first, but it has seriously nice tools, just be mindful of its clear CLEAR weaknesses.

Dragallista
Teamstyle: Bulky Offense

Finishing out this list, we have one of the Mystery Men of the Meta D, Dragallista, the second hardest hitting Mon of the tier. Dragallista stands out for having a pretty nice bulk, at 100/82/95, very similar to the likes of Valentine, Horronimbus or Nekolepsy, while having the same speed as two of them, at 65. Gosh, who MADE those mons? Anyway, where it has it with a good statline, it doesn't have it with a pretty barren movepool. Still, it has great options for damage in Clanging Scales and Armor Cannon, the two bolster its defenses thanks to the ability Contrary, but that ALSO means it can't boost its damage with Throat Spray! Whoops! If you want to do that, you'll have to run Rattled, which might get value off Dead's Intimidate, and the zillion U-Turns and Knock Offs flying around. Forget about boosting defenses then, as you'll actually become frailer with each use, although the damage is noteworthy. Other movepool highlights are Fiery Wrath, Taunt, and Vacuum Wave, although it DOESN'T OHKO current state Frospes, go figure. Its main weaknesses are being weak to Fairy and Ice while being slow, which in this meta is a pretty big deal, and the abilities gatekeeping you from bonuses you get if you run the OTHER ability, which makes it fun and customisable, but a weakness nonetheless. A very interesting mon with one of the highest fun sets and potential.

And that's all! This has been my semi-comprehensive overview on the mythical scaly Dragon types of Blank Canvas Meta D.
Dragons are in a curious spot, since they all have great traits, are all extremely fun, but are in a slight chokehold due to how good some of the Fairies and Ices are. Though, they are really potent when focused on their niches, which means you should probably consider using and planning against facing them, as they're somewhat popular. And for a reason! Tele out!
