Pet Mod Blank Canvas

Before slate starts, we are making two nerfs, as we believe this two mons are constricting the creation process of the mod too much.

Formaldehydra: -Mortal Spin, -10 Def
Mortal Spin on Formaldehydra was insane at making progress, as it was able to get Rough Skin chip, the damage from Mortal Spin, the poison damage from Mortal Spin, and the hazard clear, all in a single turn, while also being hard to take down as well, so we've taken some action against it.

Sucrillon: -Dazzling, +Shield Dust
Dazzling made Sucrillon really hard to answer offensively, as with one boost its outspeeding most mons, so to answer it you'd usually resort to priority, as its weak to many forms of it, but it has Dazzling to counteract that, forcing the opponent to only use defensive answers against it, as it'll always make progress against offensive ones. Removing Dazzling should give Sucrillon some needed offensive counterplay.

And now for the slate...

Sign-ups are over, and all teams have been organized!

Y'all have 5 days to finish your mons! Good luck!

In my opinion, there's been a few underlying issues with the balancing lately, and it's something I think I am allowed to talk about it because I've played several room tours and win (iirc) two of them. This are my feelings towards most of the top dogs in this meta.

*FORMALDEHYDRA*: It needed a nerf, but I don't think it got the one it needed. The issue I often faced with Hydra, either running it or facing it, was that it was forcing progress constantly. Mortal spin was one of those progress tools, yes, but the worst offender was knock off. It was a free click that did 50-60 to Centaghoul, a steel Mon, and forces progress 100% of the time unless against already poisoned Staroboros or something like Kodiacomb. Hydra deals consistently good dark damage while also removing items. My fix would be letting the defense nerf as it is, but remove knock off entirely rather than mortal spin. There's already a solid number of steel, poison types and status immune mons, namely Monsnooze and Oreamoss. Speaking of which.

**OREAMOSS**: It was the most used in tandem with Hydra. Oreamoss is a really strong nib thanks to its combination of really good traits. It's strong, it's bulky, it can boost really hard with swords dance, and it has edgequake coverage along reliable recovery in synthesis. Along with some off meta moves like stun spore, and having access to stealth rock, this Mon does probably too much. My thing would be removing accelerock, as it blocks counterplay from one of their weaknesses, fast bug and ice types, one of the 4 weaknesses it has. Parfae and Scratch can deal with it way more comfortably now, while also having a lot of priority options.

**SUCRILLON**: I'm not saying dazzling should come back, because it doesn't, I'm saying that it having an useless ability now relegates it to the shade of mostly Parfae and Iron Mike. Parfae is faster, stronger, can use life orb and not worry about boots, ice beam is way better than Bleakwind Storm as it's reliable and ice is great offensively, Parfae can also boost with Calm mind while the only faster mons that kinda threaten it are Hearthind that has 66 special defense and Kodiacomb which is weak to fairy and has 55 special defense.
My petition would be to give it an useful ability that at least does something to separate it from Parfae, or Mike, because quiver dance in this ultra priority ridden meta might be like Mon Mothra 2, relegated to obscurity almost.

**STURMORTHIO**: My dear dear boy, not only is it relegated as the lowest BST Mon, it also has a very strange movepool. While it has status spread, and recovery, it's slow and weak to knock off, which is super rampant in this meta. It's still weak to a good number of mons, namely any dark or knock user, status immune, or basically any Mon that can two shot it reliably. My solution would be to give it something like prankster, or buffing its special defense to make it match up better to non-dark threats, because will-o with hex is somewhat lackluster, and this Mon has seen zero to no play, and I really want to see it shine. So something would really need to change

While we suggest fixing useless abilities, I feel that much like Leechmonner and other Pokemon, Pyrelli should be given an alternative ability for those who don't want to run Contrary sets. I feel that Rapid Spin Pyrelli could have potential if it weren't for the fact that due to Contrasy using spin would lower your speed, making the move basically useless outside of edge case gimmicky Gyro Ball sets. I feel that since the original slate included Rapid Spin, it should have an alternative ability thats lets it use Rapid Spin without any drawback, that way there can be some better hazard removal options. Being that if it had a useful, syngergystic ability, Pyrelli would be tied with Lyvamp for the bulkiest Rapid Spin user availible, there should be an alternative ability option. I personally suggest something like Motor Drive or Steam Engine, abilites that lack the ceiling of Contrary, but help reduce non-synergies, which I feel this Pokemon has a glaring issue of.

I disagree
