[Pros]
- Strong as fuck, and with Speed Boost, it is extremely hard to stop
- Unlike in gen 5, Blaziken can now use Baton Pass with Speed Boost, which means even if it can't beat its counter, it can just Baton Pass it to something else that's just as threatening
- Relatively good offensive typing - Fire can take advantage of the sun to hit like a nuke... if it's up
[Cons]
- Frail - hard to set up
- Uses up a Mega slot if you're using Mega Blaziken
- Protect gets REALLY predictable, and Blaziken is utterly dependent on it
- HJK is a stupid move
[Set recommendations]

Blaziken @ Focus Sash / Leftovers
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Swords Dance
- Baton Pass
- Protect
- Roar

- Pretty much the only reason to run standard Blaziken is to run a dedicated Baton Pass set so you can use Sash or Leftovers - kind of like Ninjask but doesn't suck as much
- SD and Protect with a free turn pretty much gets you +2 / +2 passed to something if you don't get phazed out or killed by priority
- Roar prevents you from being phazed unless your opponent runs like Liepard or something
- Substitute can be used over Roar to get more speed boosts (as well as potentially passing a Sub!), but not being phazed is just too precious
- Stuff to pass to are obviously good for a dedicated Baton Passing set - ones that synergise well are Gyarados, Landorus-T, Mega Mewtwo X, Giratina-O, Rayquaza, Hawlucha as well as just standard physical attackers like Groudon, Excadrill, etc etc
- You don't always have to pass +2/+2, you can always just Protect and pass off +1 Speed if you want to conserve Blaze, most things don't mind +1 Speed :D
- Wobbuffet really helps Blaziken get that first boost
- Defog and Rapid Spin to clear, Magic Bounce to prevent hazards to preserve your Sash
[Mega Evolution Recommendations and Play]

Blaziken @ Blazikenite / Life Orb
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature (+Spe, -SAtk)
- Protect
- Hi Jump Kick
- Flare Blitz
- Baton Pass / Swords Dance

- Strong late game cleaner
- Just Protect to get +1 and the mega evolution, you'd outspeed most things with 492 Speed, and then just kill shit
- HJK is compulsory until Low Kick finds a way into Blaziken's movepool for strong STAB
- Flare Blitz complements HJK by destroying Aegislash and getting a boost in the sun - 2HKOes many resists in the sun
- SD for more sweeping potential, although it's not easy to set up.
- Baton Pass lets you pass Speed Boosts to something else if something counters you, while SD improves your sweeping potential
- You can use Life Orb in place of the Mega Stone if you want to use a different Mega Pokemon
- HP Ice can be used to fuck Gliscor and Dragon/Flying types when sun is not up
- Stone Edge can be used for Gyarados
[Checks and Counters]
- Rain + physically bulky stuff that resist or are immune to HJK: Aegislash, Gliscor, bulkier Psychic-types
- Multiscale Dragonite
- Hippowdon can take a hit and either kill with EQ or phaze out BP variants
- Random Protect mons to fuck HJK
- Jellicent / Slowbro
- Talonflame and Azumarill to revenge
- Other priority mons can pick off slightly weakened Blazikens - Mega Lucario, Deoxys-A
- Beware that all of the above that don't depend priority need to watch out for Baton Pass.
