Welcome to the first week of BLT VII! For this year's format, teams will be fighting in a round robin where every team will play every other team. At the end of the round robin, the top four teams will move on to the playoffs where the first seed will play the fourth seed and the second seed will play the third seed to determine who will be this year’s finalists. A win will be worth 2 points, a draw 1, and a loss 0. Obviously, play on PS! (preferably main or smogtours server). Series are played in a best-of-one.

Basic Tournament Rules - you absolutely should read this, especially if you're new to forum tournaments
Sportsmanship: Don't be an ass. Not to your opponents, not to your team, not on PS, not on Smogon, not to me. A bit of friendly banter is ok, but please know where to draw the line. Think before you type, please.

Scheduling and Activity Wins: Contact your opponent as quickly as possible on their Smogon wall, and look out for them on PS. You will have one week from the posting of the week's matches to get it done, and I will not be granting any extensions for any reasons. If your opponent is not responding to your post on their wall, cannot be found on PS, or miss multiple scheduled times, make a detailed activity post in the thread letting me know why you deserve the win. No activity post means no activity call. As long as you have visible attempts at scheduling (such as wall posts), you will be fine.

Disconnections and Timer: A timer loss is a loss. No if's, and's, or but's about it. If your opponent is nice enough to replay that's fine, but they are by no means obligated to.

Ghosting and Identity: Don't take or give battle advice or make moves based solely on the suggestions of others, and don't pretend to be someone else in order to play as them. You will be caught, and you will be disqualified from this season as well as future PS! tournaments (BLT, PSPL, etc.).

Substitutions: Managers are free to substitute out inactive players at any point during the week with any subs they chose during the draft. Be sure to post in the thread when making a substitution.

SS RU: Let's Rumble Shall We vs Sensei Axew - Haven't really heard of rumble and axew is p solid as well
SS NU: Bad Player vs Confide - Definitely a huge hl for me. both are very solid especially in nu, im gonna go w/ confide in a 51-49 tho
SS LC: imjustgray vs Jack In My Box - I think both of them are decent at LC but going w/ gray since i have seen him play more gen 8.
SS DOU: TTT444 vs Z strats - I don't know a lot about dou but I do know that TTT is one hell of a good player.
SS MONO: henguinie vs DugZa - DugZa is defo one of the best mono player in the pool i think so gonna with him.

SS OU: APW001 vs -Latios- - Temp is a definitely the better player here imo but apw is no slouch so should a good one.
SS OU: halaman95 vs NRTS - I think NRTS is a p solid all round player so i think he would take in a p close one.
SS UU: snøfall vs Ramolost - Ramolost is apparently is p good at uu but I do think snofall would care more
SS RU: PokemonCestDur vs Its all RNG - idrk RNG and PCD is a p good player.
SS NU: Trade vs GW - Another hl (damn nu is stacked af) but gonna with trade who i have seen playing all these years on a p high level.
SS LC: Mikaav vs Plas - Definitely the 2 best LCers in the tour. gonna go w/ plas tho since he has played a lot more lc in gen 8 tho. 51-49 af.
SS DOU: lightning1870 vs Mishimono - Mishi is a top tier dou player even in a p good dou pool.
SS MONO: RichardPepper vs maroon - Maroon is just more experienced especially in mono.

SS UU: TectonicDestroyer vs Decem - Tect is a very adaptable player but i think decem has a good grasp at most metas if given some solid support.
SS RU: Mac3 vs gorex - Both of em are really solid from what i've seen and idk either well enough to judge so the first tossup :)
SS NU: Xiri vs ToastedBunzzz02 - toast is a really solid player who can hold his own against xiri but i still think xiri is preferred here.
SS LC: Akashi vs parivard - I might be a lil biased here but i know pari can go toe to toe w/ most players and im gonna personally root for my man.
SS DOU: LolTrollGame vs SMB - LTG is decent at dou but i dont think i'm ever not bolding smb as long as he is in dou.
SS MONO: Maki's Fox vs SiceXV - Idk sice and have seen maki play mono and i think they're p good.

SS UU: snøfall vs Ramolost Ramo is my favorite french baguette. I'd love to see him lose because he rages harder than anyone, but hes top dog in this uu pool so.
SS RU: PokemonCestDur vs Its all RNG I've seen this PCD dude play and hes not bad, but J is gonna give him the hands. Better playing ability and prep.
SS NU: Trade vs GW idk who this trade dude is, and GW was in nupl and has good results in the tier.
SS LC: Mikaav vs Plas Should be a close game, i got Plas winning as in the few games ive seen he looks solid.

SS OU: Updated Kanto (60) vs Abyssal Ruins(40) - Kii is goat but kanto has played high level of ou for a long time and hence is very hard to beat.
SS UU: TMM (30) vs 100%GXE (70) - GXE has to wins this at all costs and I think he will for sure.
SS RU: Let's Rumble Shall We (30) vs Sensei Axew (70) - Axew chance to start of positive on the sheet, hope he does not blow it.
SS NU: Bad Player (45) vs Confide (55) - Bad player is actually not that bad, but confide is better I think.
SS LC: imjustgray (55) vs Jack In My Box (45) - hmm, don;t know close one, neither too great, but both are decent.
SS DOU: TTT444 (51) vs Z strats (49) - Neck to neck and TTT444 cause he would care more.

SS UU: snøfall (51) vs Ramolost(49) Ramolost plays gen8 uu, snofall needs to do his best and I think he will and take this one in a close one.
SS RU: PokemonCestDur (60) vs Its all RNG (40) - This is the only game I think the bolts have good chance of winning, PCD is very good.
SS NU: Trade (51) vs GW (49) - I would say they both are pretty much neck to neck. Trade has been decetly active in recent times, and I think he would care more about BLT so giving him the edge.
SS LC: Mikaav (50) vs Plas (50) - Two very good players, most may give plas a edge here, I can see why but Mikaav is not inferior in any way I think.
SS DOU: lightning1870 (30) vs Mishimono (70) - neg is kinda dead? And mish is in total touch so fair edge here.
SS MONO: RichardPepper (35) vs maroon (65) - Significantly better I would say, hope richard can get a fav matchup if you want to see an interesting game.

SS UU: TectonicDestroyer (45) vs Decem (55) - Both cute users, but Decem is a little better I think.
SS RU: Mac3 (49) vs gorex (51) -Don't know a lot about either, but gorex has some hype so...
SS NU: Xiri (55) vs ToastedBunzzz02 (45) - ToastedBunzz is good, but xiri is goat so he should win this.

SS UU: TMM (15) vs 100%GXE (85)- this is the only mu in this series that i think is truly lopsided. gxe plays mons a lot more than tmm and has a better grasp of the tier

very likely to be the most competitive pairing this week and i think it depends on the ru game to decide if the hats win this week or tie it. should be a good contest between imo the second (perts) and third (hats) best teams in the tour

Mono predicts from someone who plays mono:
SS MONO: henguinie (25) vs DugZa (75) - Never seen henguinie play and DugZa has a ribbon. Unless he gets MU as fuck I can’t see DugZa losing.
SS MONO: RichardPepper (25) vs maroon (75) - Again, I haven’t seen RichardPepper ever play mono, so big edge to the much more experienced maroon.
SS MONO: Maki’s Fox (65) vs SiceXV (35) - Never seen Sice play mono before although I have heard of him, Maki’s on the other hand has played this tier a fair amount and will probably get several upsets on bigger players throught the tour.
SS MONO: Havens (40) vs Floss (60) - In gen 8 Floss has proven to have excellent prep and be incredibly consistent. We’ll see if kythr and Havens can figure him out.

Also gen 8 is dumb so its likely that many people win this week due to a super rough matchup.

Bolts look to be the weakest team and I really like the snoms team this should be quite a dominant week for them

SS MONO: RichardPepper (5) vs maroon (95) very easy bold but in mono you always have a chance

After so many successful campaigns it looks like ESM and Trace have a bit of a weaker draft this year Im interested how they will lead this team vs semi team india who have a good draft as well but I have a feeling they wont perform up to expectations for some reason
