Bo3 No Sleep ORAS Ubers

- This is a modified ORAS Ubers tournament. Inflicting sleep on your opponent is banned. If you use moves such as Spore, Dark Void, Lovely Kiss, Psycho Shift your own sleep, and etc, you will lose that game. Inflicting sleep on yourself is allowed. All other rules are standard. Tl;dr Dark Void, Spore, and etc are banned. Rest is allowed.
- See the ORAS Ubers resources for more information and resources, such as sample teams and viability rankings.
- This tournament is single elimination.
- Rounds will be best-of-3. Players may switch teams in between rounds and battles of the same set.
- Matches will be played on Pokémon Showdown or the SmogTours server.
- Replays must be saved and posted in the thread. Any match win reported without replays will not be counted. This is your only warning.

The sign ups will end on Sunday, August 10th at 11:59 PM GMT -5. The second round will begin on Monday, August 11th. All rounds will last for 7 days.

The winner will receive a simple picture, something like a profile pic, icon or an emote or whatever of their choice by Waruchuu!

Yes, Yawn is banned. Any moves that directly inflict sleep on your opponent is banned. Please refer to this thread for the sleep moves that are banned and allowed:

Thread 'Sleep Moves are now banned from SV OU; Sleep Clause is now lifted from SV OU'

After a long discussion both within the SV OU subforum here and in the Policy Review subforum here, moves that strictly induce the sleep status on the opponent will be banned from SV OU and the Sleep Clause Mod will be removed from SV OU effective immediately.

To provide full clarity, the following moves are now banned:
  • Dark Void
  • Hypnosis
  • Sing
  • Sleep Powder
  • Spore
  • Yawn
The following moves remain allowed:
  • Dire Claw
  • Relic Song
  • Rest
Effect Spore also remains legal as it does not strictly induce the sleep status on the opponent.

I do want to clarify that Psycho Shift is allowed as long as you are not transferring the Sleep.

This will be enforced as an out of game clause, rather than a mod. So, if you do use the banned move, then your game will be considered as a loss and you will have opportunity to play out other games in the bo3.
