[SET]
Walking Wake @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Name: Boots All-out-Attacker (Dragon)

EVs: 12 Def / 244 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald / Hydro Steam
- Draco Meteor
- Flamethrower
- Knock Off / Flip Turn
[SET COMMENTS]
Walking Wake provides an interesting speedtier, outspeeding problematic threats such as Iron Treads and Landorus, and coverage to pressure types such as Steel and Flying for Dragon teams. Scald's burn chance makes Walking Wake riskier to swap into as it can inflict Burn and reduce the threat of Physically-inclined Specially Defensive pivots such as Assault Vest Iron Hands, Alolan Muk, and Hisuian Goodra. Alternatively, Hydro Steam's boosted power under the Sun lets Walking Wake deal with Volcarona and Cinderace in the Fire matchup, which can clean Dragon teams late-game. Flamethrower dissuades Corviknight and Gholdengo from switching into Walking Wake, and completes its coverage against Steel teams. Knock Off removes Heavy-Duty Boots from Articuno, greatly easing the Flying matchup. It also inconveniences opponents that swap into Walking Wake such as Primarina, Toxapex, and Hisuian Goodra, making these easier to break for Walking Wake's team mates. Alternatively, Flip Turn lets Walking Wake keep the pressure against hard checks to it like Slowking-Galar, Empoleon, and Primarina by swapping into team mates that handle these better. Flip Turn is neutered by Water Absorb Clodsire, however. Heavy-Duty Boots lets Walking Wake come in repeatedly in the Steel matchup, whose gameplan revolves on wearing down opposing teams through multiple entry hazards. It also lets Walking Wake stay healthy throughout the match, allowing it to prevent Choice Band Mamoswine, Choice Scarf Greninja, and Choice Scarf Meowscarada from cleaning Dragon teams late game. The EV spread lets Walking Wake activate Protosynthesis Speed, allowing it to outspeed and remove Cinderace and +1 Volcarona when under Sun.
Dragapult for patching lacking speedtier, benefits with Articuno / AV Torn being knocked
Archaludon for Hazards and ideally, use Tbolt to ensure rocks stays up. Also deals with outrage Wake tends to lure in
On the same note, H.Goo eats up Draco meteors and deals with Prim which gets free setup on this guy
Latios and or Kyurem deals with mortal enemy number 1 Clodsire. Scarf Latios is viable as it can lure in steels and loves cleaning Flying late game esp after the bait, Kyurem too because no more boots on cuno means its gonna get 2hkoed by ice moves
Scarf RM deals with Flutter mane and can lure in skarm and position Wake
Spikes Garchomp great knock off synergy, noms walls like Slowking G and Empo too. Likes Gliscor being killed too.
Dragonite is ok, it has setup and would like Skarm getting deleted to sweep later on. Priority good.
Raging Bolt is a niche partner but it likes grounds getting deleted and might be able to overwhelm clod, but its not that great here. Also priority good.
