[BoR] Eternal Drifter vs Matezoide

I also noticed Smeargle gets to 6 attack, so Ape loses even more HP (Frail as fuck lol). My apologizes for not noticing earlier.

And thanks for taking this. :3 :3

No, it doesn't. Looking at Everstone's description, it says "If the Pokemon uses Transform, it alters the boost on Everstone to the highest species' highest true base stat and adds one (1) rank to it, regardless of BRT."

You're good.

Even in the form of another, I am bound to the will of the story.

Achisuto the Smeargle, Painter of Fate:
Action 1: Desperate Charge (Feint+Giga Impact)
Action 2: Cooldown (Wing Attack)
Action 3: Wing Attack

IF Meditate, Psychic and push actions back. DO NOT PLAY THIS SUBSTITUTE IF ACTIONS HAVE ALREADY BEEN PUSHED BACK!
IF Substitute (the move), Psychic and push actions back. DO NOT PLAY THIS SUBSTITUTE IF ACTIONS HAVE ALREADY BEEN PUSHED BACK!

I asked around IRC and the combo was agreed to be illegal, as Feint is a non-contact move and Giga Impact is.

12:38MatezoideOh yeah, Feint + Giga Impact is illegal, non?
12:38RediamondI would not allow it.
12:39SubwayJ<3
12:39Canis_Majorisregarding feint + giga impact
12:39MatezoideFrosty? SubwayJ?

Rest -> Sleep Talk (Scratch, Payday, Covet, Fury Swipes) -> Zzzzzzz

Should the combo be, indeed, legal, then change actions to Rest -> Sleep -> Sleep-Talk (cratch, Payday, Covet, Fury Swipes)

Yeah, I'm siding with the crowd on this one, mainly based on the whole contact v non-contact debacle and not really based on delicate v rushed attack part. I've had combos like feint + ice punch ruled illegal in the past, and this is a similar situation. If something happens and it is deemed legal? Well, you know where to find me.

The air is tense, and the spectators are all leaning in to see Achisuto bite the bullet. Sadistic bastards, all of them, but hey, it's a Pokemon battle. It's what they're here for. Wanting to get off one last strike, Achisuto concentrates its energy, creating a red and blue mist around it, and-- what's this?! Steve gasped in pain, but I didn't even see the attack? Where could it have come from?! Oh, I see now, that was Feint! A good move, but it's all over... umm, guess not? Steve decided that its time to take a Rest and just went to sleep in the middle of the battlefield?! What does he think he's doing?

"Mmph... Babs Seed, Babs Seed, what we gonna do..."

Hmm? Oh, I see now! Steve is using his Sleep Talk technique! With his eyes still closed, he rushes up to Achisuto and delivers a weak little Scratch, but it seems to do the trick! Achusito rears up before turning into a colorful mass of a strange liquid before solidifying, and the transformation is over! Ladies and gentlemen, Achisuto the Smeargle has fainted! Things look very dire for Eternal Drifter now, what with him having to face down not only someone with a 4x Super-effective STAB, but he has to face Matezoide's third Pokemon immediately afterwards! However, it's not over yet, and there could very well be a turnaround!

I can....feel you....even in my sleep....my anger can not be contained....i swear....in the name of everything i hold dear....i WILL stop ALL of you! I will not allow you MONSTERS to hurt ANYONE ELSE!

Sleep-Talk (Close-Combat, Low Kick, Cross Chop, Brick-Break) -> Low Kick -> Close-Combat

If Counter, use Bulk Up that action the first time, Focus Energy the second and Substitute (15) the third. Do not push-back
If Tyranitar is underground, use Earthquake that action

Yes, i know talking in your sleep like this makes no logical sense, but this pokemon ffs. Where rats can shoot ice. Just pretend Vital Spirit has something to do with it or somehing.

And sorry for the meh sprite :<

Action 2: Focus Punch
Action 3: Retaliate

To be quite honest, I find the asleep Primeape sprite really cute... which... kinda destroys the point of Primeape I guess. So yeah, I agree with your opinion then.

And folks, what we have here is just a sheer, unadulterated beatdown. ED makes a big show, with his final Pokemon releasing a magnificent sandstorm upon its arrival, but it seems to be more theatrics than anything. Steve the Primeape relentlessly assaults Kyofu with ridiculously powerful, STAB- AND Rare Candy-boosted Fighting-type attacks, completely erasing chunks of Eternal Drifter's last hope with three swift strikes. Kyofu isn't exactly completely powerless, as it IS able to strike back with two very powerful attacks, but it just isn't close to enough. Steve the Primeape may look down for the count, but Kyofu the Tyranitar is even more so, and with ED ordering first and Matezoide having another Pokemon at full health in the wings, it's not a question of who will win, but how long it will take. It looks like the spectators are already filing out of the stadium, as everyone knows how this is gonna go down now, and they really don't want to get stuck in traffic on the way out...

"Urk... Well... done..."

Even with the defensive measure he had performed, the Primape packed a larger punch than he had expected. In fact, it was only due to the defensive measure that Kyofu was standing right now.

Grimacing, Kyofu looks around at the departing crowd. Sure, he likely already lost, but he had a chance to come out of the battle with something.

With determination, Kyofu poured the sand out of him, blinding the remaining crowd from the field. It wouldn't do for the public to know what he was attempting, after all...

"You seek to get revenge on Itsumo for stealing your friend? Or do you seek to bring your friend back? Work for me... and I promise you, I'll give you a chance to get him back. I need a world in order to rule it in the first place, after all, and if Itsumo destroys it, I need to start again. I believe that you'd find me more pleasant than the Demon Lords of Destruction or Pain, or the so-called 'Demon Lord of the Fourth Wall...'. Besides, Itsumo has enough servants under his control without actively recruiting them. What do you say... help balance the odds?"

Kyofu the Tyranitar, Demon Lord of Tyranny:
Action 1: Endure
Action 2: Shadow Claw
Action 3: Earthquake

IF Toxic, Protect and push actions back. Do not play this substitution consecutively.
IF Rest, Focus Punch that action.

Ape can be cute when it wants :<

Do not even bother, beast! You are no better than Itsumo. I WILL get revenge on that Spiritomb, and Chuck WILL be saved, but it will be on OUR terms! My team will not become another of your puppets!

IT IS TIME TO FINISH THIS!

Encore -> Toxic -> Karate Chop

Apparentely, Tyranitar will use Endure A2 and A3 as well. If it would use Struggle A3, use Rest A2 and Sleep-Talk (Tackle, Karate Chop, Rock Smash, Scratch) A3

Sandstorm (3 rounds)

And now for the exciting conclusion! The two mons stand off against each other, and *cough cough* huh? It looks like Kyofu has whipped up a wicked duststorm! I.... I can't see a thing! I can faintly hear the two Pokemon talking to each other, but well, I ain't exactly a Psychic-type. Kyofu seems to be saying a lot...

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPE!"

Wazzat? It looks like Steve just ended the conversation! The sandstorm lessens, allowing the crows to see what's going on, and Kyofu braces himself, expecting Steve to charge up in order to Endure the hit, but Steve just sneers a little bit before giving Kyofu an Encore, clapping and cheering for him, as the sandstorm rages on in the background.

After being so flattered by the Primeape, Kyofu has no choice but to give his audience what it wants and repeats his bracing maneuver again, and Steve prepares a sickly Toxic liquid and spits it out at Kyofu, badly poisoning him! Steve may have to continue dealing with the Sandstorm slowly knocking him out, but now the toxic goop is seeping away at Kyofu as well!

Knowing the end is near, but not wanting to disappoint his fan, Kyofu regretfully Endures one last time, with a large frown on his face, and Steve jumps up high and delivers a Karate Chop right on to the top of Kyofu's head, but the Tyranitar is still able to stand! A few seconds pass, and while Steve is able to stand after being buffeted by the sandstorm, Kyofu roars in pain and falls down due to the toxins running through him, and he is now unable to battle!

Eternal Drifter is out of usable Pokemon! Matezoide is the winner of this match! What a show, everyone!

Action 1
Kyofu used Endure! (15 EN)

Encore -> Kyofu (10 EN)
Endure was encored!

Sandstorm -> Steve (2 DMG)

Action 2
Kyofu used Endure! (15 EN)
But it failed!

Toxic -> Kyofu (7 EN)
Kyofu was badly poisoned!

Toxic -> Kyofu (1 DMG)
Sandstorm -> Steve (2 DMG)

Action 3
Kyofu used Endure! (15 EN)

Karate Chop -> Kyofu (2 EN)
RNG roll (to crit) 3888 = no crit
(5+3+2+(6-4)1.5)(2.25) = 29.25 DMG
Kyofu endured the hit!

Toxic -> Kyofu (1 DMG)
Kyofu fainted!
