<Ditto> (Ottis) [No Gender]

Nature: Quirky
Type: Normal

Normal: Normal STAB; +1 BAP on attacks that match dominant arena type after 3 actions. Unable to have Thrash or Outrage disrupted by oncoming damage.

About: A Shiny Ditto, Ottis is a joker at heart. Although he means no harm, Ottis is unable to not change the opponent's form upon transforming, mostly in an (mostly sucessful) attempt at making other people laugh and annoy the enemy.
He bonded extremely well with Bosco, given their similar form, shininess and....''unique'' natures.

Abilities:
Limber (Passive
): This Pokemon’s body is well trained and immune to paralysis.
Imposter (HIDDEN ABILITY UNLOCKED, Passive): This Pokemon transforms into an opponent specified by the trainer immediately upon entry into battle.

<Bronzong> (Zero)
Nature: Brave (+Attack, -Speed, -10% evasion)

Type: Steel/Psychic

Steel: Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm damage, immune to Poison/Toxic status, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, making them susceptible to Poison-type attacks and Poison/Toxic Status.

Psychic: Psychic STAB; less susceptible to blinding, more susceptible to sound-based assaults as far as locking on with Psychic attacks, can lift and throw opponents with Psychic attacks regardless of weight difference. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

About: A Bronzor met at the Iron Island, Zero always heard tales of the out-side world. Upon capture, the young Bronzor is extremely curious and courageous (If not reckless) to explore his new surroundings. Sadly, Zero also realised just how much better life would be if he had arms. The ability to punch and grabs things looks extremely interesting to him, but alas, it is not meant to be.
Or was it? On a random day, on a carnival, Zero got into a fight. Upon getting knocked down on a ''manly stuff'' stand, he accidentally drunk an entire bottle of Old-Spice, combined with Red Bull. As a result, the testosterone filled his body, and within seconds, not only did Zero evolve, but he also grew four arms! Armed (heh) with his new power, Zero couldnt be any happier!

Abilities:
Levitate (Passive):This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the Ground moves Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude. Earth Power will have three (3) less Base Attack Power. Dig and Dive can strike a Levitating Pokemon if their user is over Size Class 4, has Levitate, is 3.5m or larger, or is a Flying-type. Otherwise Dig and Dive will miss
Heatproof (Passive):This Pokemon's mirror-like alloyed skin protects it from Fire-type attacks, reducing the type effectiveness of Fire-typed attacks to the next level of resistance (2x weak becomes neutral, neutral becomes resistance, etc.) The damage inflicted by burns is also cut in half.
Heavy Metal (DW UNLOCKED, Passive): The Pokemon's body structure is immensely dense, doubling its weight. When it uses a full-body attack or a weight-based attack it will do more damage, and it will be much harder to lift, throw, or knock back.

Command Type: Type Exclusive | Accuracy: -- | Energy Cost: 5 | Priority: 0 | CT: None

About: Ozzy was , in fact, Matezoide's first pokemon, being kidnapped by a mysterious group, Matezoide and Ozzy met again on a circus that used stolen pokemon for the shows. After defeating the thieves, Ozzy chose to go with Matezoide again after all this time. He bears no grudge against Steve for ''taking his place''.

Abilites:

Overgrow (Passive):

When this Pokemon’s HP is lower than 33% (flat), the Base Attack Power of any grass attack is increased by two (2). (eg Giga Drain goes from 8 to 10, Solarbeam from 12 to 14)

Chlorophyll (HIDDEN ABILITY UNLOCKED Passive):

During bright sunlight, this Pokemon’s cells absorb more solar energy, doubling (x2) their speed.

Thick Fat (Mega Evolution only, Passive):

This Pokemon has a great deal of extra fat or muscle that increases its resistance to extreme heat or extreme cold, reducing the type effectiveness of Fire- and Ice-typed attacks to the next level of resistance.

Not allowing. Sorry Smash, but it is your responsibility to equip/activate your items properly, especially on serious matches. This is no different than denying a re-order from illegal orders on a serious match.

Plus, rl is shitty as fuck atm, which is seriously affecting my mood/decision making.

I will, however, allow you to equip items if you do that mistake again.

Round One

Well well well, why hello there, everyone. Since the previous commentator, Dogfish44, decided to run away after seeing the Pokemon in this battle, and was definitely not kicked out for failing to do his job, I have been appointed to continue, well, start, the commentary for this battle. On one side of the arena is Matezoide, making his first appearance in CAPASB in July 2012, and is an extremely capable battler who is held back by his masses of lesser used, unpopular, and generally outclassed Pokemon for which he is known for. He has made two gym challenges so far, both unsuccessful, but close (one of which would be a win now). Wait, he's yelling something other than "YOLOL", trying to inform me that he beat jas61292. Yeah, whatever; so many people did (no offense jas). On the other side is smashlloyd20, who was the first person to sign up for CAPASB in its original form, before even its creator, and was once a candidate for the Steel Gym, with his Registeel which he caught in the Timeless Tower. He has attempted to beat the Normal Gym, and was in the winning team in the First Team Tournament. All in all, both battlers are capable, and could have made it to the finals, but we can only have one winner.

To start the battle, smash sent out his trusty Pyroak, a monstrous CaPmon which he has had since the start of his career and ASB itself. With a mighty roar, and a cry of "Let's go" from his trainer, it came upon the sandy battlefield, ready for a challenge. Matezoide had a far easier choice for his Pokemon, with only one real option, and threw a Pokeball onto the ground, a shiny, blue, amorphous blob appearing from within. A shrill squeal of "Transform!" and a shout of "YOLOL" were heard, before a second enormous fire monster appeared where the blob was, almost identical to that belonging to smash, except with smaller, rounder eyes. That's right, it's actually Matezoide's Ditto! Both Pyroak stood at the ready, awaiting commands from their excited, albeit nervous, trainers.

The Pyroak stared each other down, for what seemed like hours, although was only a few minutes. Waiting, building suspense, trying to work out what their trainers told them. Until, one Pyroak finally broke, the one without the beady, comedic eyes, and spewed up a mouthful of green, toxic sludge onto its copy. Was that its orders, or was it just that nervous? We may never know. What we do know, however, is that the other, now enraged, and to a lesser extent, slimy, flame dinosaur engulfed itself in flames, and stampeded at its opponent, knocking him back.

The Ditto-Pyroak felt a twinge in its body, which turned into a sharp jolt of pain, but it continued. It sped past the other Pyroak, made a u-turn, and continued its flaming rage, charging its inferno-enshrouded body at its opponent for the second time, knocking him down again before he could get up. One of the leaves fell off the real Pyroak's head, slightly singed, and it gave him an idea. Picking it up and holding it to him mouth, he played a peaceful tune with the intent of putting its clone to sleep. In reality, however, the Ditto fell asleep due to boredom from the bad attempt at music, deciding that sleeping was a better choice of its time. A couple of people fell asleep in the audience too, but, again, I think that was from the boredom of watching a battle between two colossal, flame-bodied, cannon-armed dinosaurs turn into one trying to whistle with its own leaf, and the other sleeping, although surprising everyone when it abruptly spasmed, presumably from the poisons getting worse.

The whistling fell abruptly to a halt, as the real Pyroak shone yellow, further illuminating the surrounding areas, despite the already bright conditions, and absorbed the sunlight, converting it into its own health rather than using it for a more powered attack or anything. Meanwhile, the second Pyroak continued its lengthy nap, perhaps forgetting that it is actually in a battle, rather than a dream, cringing once again due to the toxins in its blood. This battle is going to get more exciting, right? I certainly hope so, and than can be expected, so stay tuned!

Round Two

Once again, the two Pyroak, or, more accurately, the Pyroak and the impersonation, stared at each other intently, awaiting orders from their trainers. Smash quietly gave his Pyroak orders along the lines of "spam Fire-type attacks and hope nothing bad happens". On the other side of the arena, Matezoide was enthusiastically shouting "DITTO! YOLOL, THEN YOLOLO, THEN YOLOLNO huehuehue BARILLIAN! GRANDE BARILLIAN!"; Ditto sat motionless, interpreting these orders into something that was anything like a set of actions. In this time that Ditto was comprehending Matezoide's near impossible to understand orders, the true Pyroak got the upper hand, blasting a kanji of fire from his arm cannons in the general area of Ditto, and catching him in the wide range of the inferno. Ditto, shocked by this hit while he was off guard, decided to scrap Matezoide's orders and do something decent for himself, erecting a shiny, reflective screen, illuminating the area around him, while also providing protection. "No, no, NO!" is heard from Matezoide's side of the arena, and Ditto, as any sane being would do, ignored him.

Ditto, starting to get sick of being a fire dinosaur lizard thing, did what these fire dinosaur lizard things do: throw up (see: here). Ditto spat up an enormous amount of green, sticky, probably radioactive goo that looks like what Ditto himself would look like if he was green. He realised this, and started to freak out about seeing himself like that, but remembered that, eventually, even that one would impersonate other Pyroak at some point, and calmed down. No-one ever said Ditto were bright, although that's what you'd expect from what is essentially just a blob. Pyroak, another simple-minded being, fired, well, fire at Ditto, like it was ordered to do, although much of it bounced harmlessly of the shield around the other side of the field. Pyroak, however, felt the same pain from the toxins that Ditto was, and still is, feeling.

Ditto decided that all this defensive stuff was boring, and started to continue charging at Pyroak, a natural act of male dominance in Pyroak camps. This Pyroak, however, did not take all this bashing well, and seemed significantly damaged, but got up, at shot - you guessed it - fire at Ditto, but, once again, about half of it rebounded harmlessly off the shield, leaving more small embers on the ground than on its opponent. All this fire, despite the shield, is building up on Ditto, and the toxins aren't helping it. Perhaps following orders is a good thing.

Round Three

Feeling exhausted after a long wait, the real Pyroak sat down and released a sweet-smelling aroma, healing himself from the poison that is damaging Ditto so much more.
"What the yolol? It can do that?" screamed Matezoide. Yes, yes it can. Obviously.
Anyway, Ditto decided to take out Pyroak while he was resting, with Pyroak's trusty Flare Blitz. Once again, it smashed smash's Pokemon for decent damage, not enormous, but enough to keep pressure up.

Pyroak sat down, obviously draining health from himself. What good can that do? Well, apparently Pyroak are quite good at knitting, as he was able to create a lifelike doll of himself, or possibly his opponent (himself) to protect him from attacks. So much for such an aggressive species, now it's making perfumes and dolls. Ditto, exhausted as well, sat down and absorbed light and heat energy from the sun, although it did not regain significant amounts of energy, due to the subpar lighting and rather mediocre temperatures, not the incinerating ones I'm used to.

Finally, both Pyroak stared each other down once again. They looked identical, and engulfed themselves in identical amount of flames. They sprinted at each other at the same pace, and collided with enough force to break a building. A small explosion was created, smoke filled the arena, and shockwaves vibrated through. But both Pyroak stayed standing, neither more battered than the other, and both exhausted.

I'll take it

Chill~Fire Blast~Flamethrower
IF Ditto is under the effects of Double Team when it is your turn to act, THEN Earthquake
IF Light screen is up AND Ditto is not sent to use Counter, THEN Flare Blitz (no pushback)

Thank God the orders do not push back if nothing is stated. Saves me a headche.

In addition, the second sub is illegal. You can not use ''Not'' on attack substitutions.

Double-Team (1) -> Aromatherapy -> Chill

IF Pyroak has more than 19 energy when you would use Double-Team, change actions to Flame Charge -> Fire Spin -> Flare Blitz
If the (his) second sub is legal AND Pyroak has more than 19 energy when you would use Double-Team, change actions to Flame Charge -> Light Screen -> Chill. This sub takes priority.

According to the Handbook, regarding Flame Charge...

  • Using a move that raises or lowers a single stat by 1 stage (Growl, Flame Charge, etc.) prevents the affected stat from decaying that round.
If thats out-dated, i would like a re-order, as being fucked by the Handbook being out-dated and IRC being incorrect is not my fault, as i have little control over these factors.

Bleh. At least Ditto is at +1 Speed.

Flare Blitz -> Fire Spin -> Flame Charge

If sucesful protective/evasive action, chill that action and push back
If Endure A1, Chill that action, but do not push back.
