BORN THIS WAY

Even though you're probably lazy, and wont even read the intro, Ill do it anyway.Since I wanted to make a new team, I wanted to use a team that differentiates itself from the rest of the tier, and using slightly less common pokes. With this, I also picked a song that inspired my team and does the same thing, Born This Way obviously. It was that or Edge of Glory, but I like Born This Way. Now lets get started, because you're obviously bored out of your mind reading this intro.

TEAM BUILDING
I started off with Volcarona, because everyone knows you cannot mess with this thing. And if it gets in a few Quiver Dances, you know you're going to be destroyed. Sure, it has 4X rock weakness and stealth rock weakness, but even though SR got the drop in usage in 5th Gen, its going to be much easier to pull it off.
To properly use Volcarona, I had to give it the support it needs. It obviously has that SR weakness, and since I dont plan on using my own SRer, I decided on using Xatu, which I like much better than Espeon because it has better defence and slightly more Hp.
With Virizion becoming much more popular and other set up sweepers popping up, Quagsire is the best counter to Virizion, Reuniclus, DD Gyarados, just to name a few.Quagsire also has good synergy with Volcarona because it has a grass resistance.
Jirachi is amazing at Paraflinching, and its typing makes it an obvious choice for being a Sp.Def wall. She also brings amazing resistances and good synergy with Volcarona and Xatu with a rock resistance.
Virizion is the best bulky water counter out there, and with calm mind, Virizion can sweep most of the metagame alone given the proper support.
Haxorus is the final pokemon on my team. Not only is he one of the best revenge killers, but he is also a powerhouse of pure and ushered strength.
THE ACTUAL TEAM![/COLOR]
Haxorus(Leviathan) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SpA)
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Brick Break
- Dual Chop
Yes, yes, this is PK Gaming's Haxorus lead set, but as most people know already, it is almost impossible to hold off, and one of the best at it's job. Its already the dragon with the most Attacking power, and combined with choice band, it 2hkos or 3hkos most physicially defensive pokes. Garchomp was once in this spot, but now that he has been banned completely to the abyss of ubers, Haxorus gets some spotlight in the OU metagame.
Xatu (HillsWEyes) (F) @Leftovers
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 248 HP / 180 Def / 80 Spe
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
-Night Shade
-Toxic
-Grass Knot
-Roost
I decided not to have Xatu as my lead so people dont expect magic mirror from the start. So if someone uses a lead such as Skarmory, Forretress, or Tyranitar, I can switch in, allowing free spikes or SR against themselves. I have toxic on here to destroy walls, and Grass Knot is for foes such as Quagsire. Roost is for self recovery, and Night Shade is there for a decent attack because I dont have anything invested into Sp.Atk.
Quagsire (HerpDerp) (M) @Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spe)
-Scald
-Recover
-Toxic
-Earthquake
Quagsire has always been my favorite of the 2nd Generation with face that screams derp. With the massive buff it got from Unaware, it may have lost a water immunity, but its now a counter to most of the metagame filled with Scrafty, and Cloyster variants. Scald is there to obviously try to burn said foes, and toxic is there to cripple walls.
Earthquake is just needed stab and coverage.
Virizion (Verizon W) @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified
Evs: 4 Hp/ 252 SpA /252 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
-Calm Mind
-Giga Drain
-Focus Blast
-Hidden Power [Ice]
Yes, yes, I said I was going to make a team to differentiate myself from the metagame, and this is probably one most used. But, its still here to give myself a few good resistances, and I need that. That, and the fact this airplane headed BAMFbi can sweep through most of the the metagame stopped only by a handful of pokemon like Sp.Defensive Quagsire, and Virizion helps alot in doing so.
Jirachi @Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
Evs: 252 Hp / 152 SpD /100 Spd
Nature: Jolly (+Spd,-SpA)
-Thunder Wave
-Iron Head
-Ice Punch
-Wish
I wanted to run Ice Punch on this set because I want to have more power against dragons such as Salamence, Haxorus and friends. This is the basic Paraflinch set except Thunder Wave is swapped for body slam. Paralyzing is very useful in cases where I need some of my pokes to set up, and the foe's majority of the team paralyzed, it will make it much easier to do so.
Volcarona (Hephaestus) (F) @ Wise Glasses
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 4 Hp/ 252 SpA/ 252 Spe
Nature: Timid(+Spe, -Atk)
-Quiver Dance
-Fire Dance
-Bug Buzz
-Hidden Power [Rock]
Yes, Finnally, the MVP of my team. The other pokes on my team revolve around her, and they are here to make her job easier. Volcarona, as a star by itself, She would be completely destroyed by its rock weakness, with Quagsire and Jirachi to take care of it, and with Xatu removing SR, Volcarona can last much longer than normal. Allowing it to set up at any point of the game, hopefully against bug times or other fire types. Quiver dance is there to completely set up, and Fire Dance/Bug Buzz are there for needed stab. Hidden Power Rock is to destroy flying types such as Salamence and Gyarados which would otherwise wall Volcarona completely.
Thank you for reading. I would like rates, suggestions if any.
