The first thing I noticed about this team is a particular weakness to Scarf Xerneas, employing pokemon that can't take multiple hits to check it. Xerneas can still be annoyed by Pdon and Mgar, which is cleaned up nicely by celesteela, which just flat out walls the Primal Groudon set and 1v1's mgar. The only actual threat to this core is Xerneas getting trapped by mgar, but some good plays and keeping rocks up should make this a free win.

Xern is a very noticeable weakness, we ohko 3 of his pokemon with a moonblast and his only reliable check is pdon, which can only check 1 of our xerns since it has no recovery and relies on phasing it out. Our first xern can set up on 3 of skarph's pokemons (4 if we can bluff scarf vs marshadow). Timid nature xern outspeeds his ygod so we dont get taunted, sub gives us immunity to toxic from zyggy and fairyceus. second set is fairium z which has ingrain and aroma. This set is better than the other one vs Pdon, since this one has immunity to roar, status and takes very less from precipice blades.
not much to say here bcz theres really no way u can lose with this core vs skarph's team.

One thing i noticed while looking at the team is how weak the team is to rock polish Pdon, as after one rock polish fire blast+ precipice blades completely decimates the team and is quite easy to start setting up on mons such as mgar and arc-fairy (although it has to toxic in order to stall it out and dies to 2 fire blasts assuming they hit). Now, there is still a zygarde that stops groudon from getting its sweep, this is where Arc-Fairy being able to deal with Zygarde,Yveltal and Marsh.

This is a Gengar-Mega balance which utilizes two of the most offensive cores in the current metagame. Those being, M-Gar + Marshadow and M-Gar + Yveltal. Life Orb Yveltal and Z-Move Marshadow apply insane pressure to opposing teams when paired with M-Gar, who traps Arceus-Fairy. On the defensive side, Zygarde-Complete is one of the most reliable checks to many physical threats such as Ho-Oh, P-Don, M-Ray, Ekiller, and Marshadow. Defog Arceus-Fairy is the backbone of the team and neutralize significant threats like Yveltal, Marshadow, and Zygarde-Complete. Primal-Groudon helps keep Primal-Kyogre and Geomancy Xerneas at bay, while providing a good stealth rock setter. Some Techs this team uses are Thousand Waves Zygarde for trapping Arceus-Fairy and Focus Blast M-Gar which knocks out Tyranitar, who beats LO Yveltal.

This is Arushi's week everybody, congratulations to her. Not only did she win for best core of Round 6 with a total of 6 votes, but one of her teams is featured for Round 7! Let's check it out!

Very standard team built using the most common special (Poisonceus + Pdon) and physical walls (Zygarde + Celesteela) and Perish Song Mgar. Pdon checks Pogre, Zygarde and Celesteela check pretty much every physical attacker, and Poisonceus checks any Fairy-type. A Leech seed user + Perish Sub Mgar means that we're checking every CM Arceus and Sub Flame Charge Celesteela itself can also check a few CM Arceus (Fairy, Steel, Ground). If Gengar somehow faints, Haze Zygarde ensures that Sub E-Killer and BP have a hard time trying to break the team. Pdon and Poisonceus beat Xern, Pogre and other fairies. Fairyceus helps vs Marsh and Yveltal and the Fairyceus runs enough speed to outspeed adamant Ray so we can revenge kill it. It's a pretty solid team that has reached almost 2k on ladder almost mindlessly.

We should congratulate Arushi once more, because not only did she win for best core of Round 6, and not only did one of her teams get featured for Round 7, but from now on, she's taking over the AG Break My Team Project!!!

Deadline for submissions is Friday, the time is pending.

I know what you're all thinking. "Pigeons, that isn't a Lunala!". That observation is correct. The first Pokemon in this core is in fact, not a Lunala. So what the fuck have I been smoking?

[20:58:11] @Arushiii: Pidgeons !!
[20:58:17] @Arushiii: submit dawn wings
[20:58:31] #Pigeons ❤: w-will you vote for it
[20:58:34] @Arushiii: yes
[20:58:40] @Arushiii: ill rig this round

I've been smoking the sweet leaves of victory baby.

So why Dawn Wings you're asking? Well the main reason is because unlike Lunala, Dawn Wings has a permanent speed boosting option. The added power is nice too as we'll see in a moment, but Rock Polish is the main draw. Against teams with a Mega Gengar, Lunala is forced out or revenge killed after its 4 turns of Tailwind are up, but Dawn Wings doesn't have to worry about that which makes it much more of a headache for Arushi's team to deal with. As for the added power, the following calcs also show the edge Dawn Wings has over Lunala in this scenario:
252+ SpA Necrozma-Dawn-Wings Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Celesteela: 408-481 (102.5 - 120.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
vs
252+ SpA Lunala Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Celesteela: 370-436 (93.1 - 109.8%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO after Leftovers recovery

+1 252+ SpA Necrozma-Dawn-Wings Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom vs. 252 HP / 156+ SpD Arceus-Poison: 423-498 (95.2 - 112.1%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO
vs
+1 252+ SpA Lunala Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom vs. 252 HP / 156+ SpD Arceus-Poison: 382-450 (86 - 101.3%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO

+1 252+ SpA Necrozma-Dawn-Wings Heat Wave vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Celesteela: 390-460 (98.2 - 115.8%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO after Leftovers recovery
vs
+1 252+ SpA Lunala Moongeist Beam vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Celesteela: 279-328 (70.2 - 82.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
(Lunala doesn't run Heat Wave so this is its best option assuming Z is used up / needs to be saved)

These calcs also undersell the difference in damage output given that Lunala runs Modest less frequently due to its better unboosted speed tier. The key points here are that you can threaten out Celesteela unboosted and Poisonceus can't stop a sweep with Perish Song if Dawn Wings does get going, both of which are incredibly valuable against balances like Arushi's.

As for Birdceus, I mostly put it there because I love Birdceus and I will fight to the death to ensure it earns its rightful place in the shrine of "passable by the thread's standards yet dubiously viable Pokemon that people voted for not because they're particularly effective but because they're uncommon and people just love to be hipsters and vote for the niche thing in projects like these hall of fame" in the OP of the thread. Meta commentary aside, the plethora of status on Arushi's team is problematic for Dawn Wings since getting hit with either Toxic or Glare make sweeping much more difficult. Birdceus is a great status absorber in this case because it isn't particularly threatened by any of Arushi's status inflicters, and also pressures her team heavily. Nicknaming it Arceus-Water gives you a massive tactical advantage because they might be stupid enough to click PBlades with PDon while you're using Calm Mind and then you can laugh and make fun of them in the chat.

Just to prove that I'm not pulling this core out of my ass and it is in fact somewhat viable, I've used this same core with CM + Roost Lunala because in principle the two synergize well. Aside from pivoting into status, Birdceus pivots into Marshadow and Yveltal assuming SR is off which is a huge relief for Dawn Wings. Dawn Wings in turn forces out SpDef Dusk Mane and Celesteela which are otherwise very annoying for Birdceus. Dawn Wings is generally a strong cleaner against offensive once Marshadow + Yveltal are out of the picture which nicely compliments Birdceus's ability to break through slower balances. Clearly a more niche set of Pokemon but one that can work given proper support.

That's all, highly recommend you give either of these mons a try since they're neat and frankly this meta could use some spice.

I swear this isn't a cteam core

wisp taunt mgar + cm groundceus has probably almost never been used but it for sure makes sense. mgar traps several things that would usually check cm ground, such as: chansey, ferro, grassceus, fairyceus (yes, some teams rely on toxic fairy to beat cm ground), and celesteela

cm ground gets it done once mgar removes celesteela and fairyceus is weakened

Without priority and only a max speed of 394 on Mega-Gengar, modest Deoxys-A has no problem with this team. Ice/Electric breaks down the mons too bulky or resisting to Psychic. Deoxys is guaranteed a setup turn with the only possible things to disrupt its momentum being glare, poison jab poison or leech seed protect stall.

Point being that against poisonceus, celesteela, pdon and fairyceus, Deoxys is guaranteed for setup. gengar and zygarde get ohko without a boost. From there the sweep is quick and easy.

Once pogre is in, you basically have to go pdon otherwise something is taking a lot of damage from origin pulse. You can then calm mind and ice beam/Hp ground a few times to put it really low (hp ground looks like a dumb cteam tech but I've seen it pop up a few times on the ladder). After pdon is gone/ severely chipped/sleeping because of rest, MMY can clean the rest pretty easily.

im the host and its my team but i figured id make a submission as well bcz no one else is interested it seems.

my team does not have ice resists and kyurem-w can 1v1 4 mons (other 2 mons, arc fairy and arc poison, cannot switch in either so thats cool). Roost ensures i have recovery bcz life orb recoil is awful and it loses 1/4th of its hp from rocks damage. Draco + Ice Beam is stab and Fusion flare is for coverage, one click is enough to end celesteela's life.
I chose lunala as my second pokemon because it seems to be a glaring weakness as well. while dawn wings is arguably superior ( Pigeons can confirm ) especially vs my team, lunala, unlike its superior version, gets tailwind which not only makes it a threatening sweeper for the 4 turns but it also helps kyurem white outspeed every pokemon on my team. That means gengar, poison & fairy dont revenge kill anymore andd we're pretty much winning.

I would like to thank pokevana for giving me the idea for the deoxys set, all I did was turn it into a psyspam core.

You know the drill, Keep rocks off the field, Get deoxys in, set up nasty plot, ohko's everything on the team

Calcs:
+2 252 SpA Deoxys-Attack Thunderbolt vs. 248 HP / 4 SpD Celesteela: 496-584 (124.9 - 147.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252 SpA Deoxys-Attack Psychic vs. 248 HP / 156+ SpD Arceus-Poison in Psychic Terrain: 770-908 (173.8 - 204.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252 SpA Deoxys-Attack Psychic vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Groudon-Primal in Psychic Terrain: 435-513 (107.6 - 126.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252 SpA Deoxys-Attack Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Zygarde: 1040-1228 (247.6 - 292.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Iceus can lure in pDon while taking it out with a boosted +1 Subzero Slammer, allowing StallTwo to 5-0 after that, unless you make a lot of mistakes. This isn't just a gimmicky cTeam core because Z-move Iceus actually beats a lot of StallTwo's checks (Darkceus, pDon, Yveltal, some mRays(and ScarfRay loses to StallTwo anyways unless it crits.)) Iceus speed EVs hit 330, outpacing Adamant mRay and non-Choice Scarf Xerneas and Yveltal.

+1 252+ SpA Arceus-Ice Subzero Slammer (185 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Groudon-Primal: 363-427 (89.8 - 105.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

252 SpA Gengar-Mega Hex (65 BP) vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Mewtwo: 284-336 (68.4 - 80.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (While this looks bad, they have to outspeed and Mewtwo has to not have just recovered)
0 SpA Pixie Plate Arceus-Fairy Judgment vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Mewtwo: 165-195 (39.7 - 46.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
4 Atk Arceus-Poison Poison Jab vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Mewtwo: 111-132 (26.7 - 31.8%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
4 Atk burned Arceus-Poison Poison Jab vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Mewtwo: 55-66 (13.2 - 15.9%) -- possible 7HKO
0 Atk Zygarde-Complete Thousand Arrows vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Mewtwo: 106-126 (25.5 - 30.3%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
0 Atk burned Zygarde-Complete Thousand Arrows vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Mewtwo: 53-63 (12.7 - 15.1%) -- possible 7HKO

Don't stay in on Groudon with StallTwo (Fire Punch does too much) and Celesteela is kinda tricky but you should still win in the long run by PP stalling Flame Charge and possibly switching to something like Ferrothorn after burning Celesteela.

mixed groudon isn’t that common a set anymore, but it’s really threatening vs arushi’s team. it can win after a rock polish if you get a bit of chip on fairyceus and zygarde with a combination of its moves. I paired it with z giga impact ekiller to accomplish this, being capable of ohkoing fairyceus and zygarde pre complete with its z move. ekiller also brings in celesteela as setup bait for pdon. z giga impact ekiller can also lure other support arceuses like water and ground as well as defensive yveltals for mixed don, while don can chip stuff like giratina and lugia for ekiller.

posted the same core/idea as Pokevana did, but worse. Deoxys does not need the support of tapu lele to break the team. Double Deoxys outclasses your core and in future rounds please remember to be creative with your cores and not copy someone elses.

have fun!

Sad mine didn't get included, I thought adding lele would make the core better given that it makes it so deoxys can Ohko every pokemon unlike the double deoxys core which is unable to kill pdon and arc fairy without terrain which I should have included in my original post

Also my core would work better against general teams than pokevana's

Also voting for drakus and bacon
