- Draco Meteor
- Psychic
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Sleep Talk
I made this team around a very standard spike stack core plus something that could take advantage easily of them: in this case, Pidgeot-Mega. After that, I just needed a solid speed control to deal with fast mons aka Manec and finally Latias as my glue and sleep fodder

Be sure to get your cores in by Thursday, as per usual.

Terrakion @ Rockium Z
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Rock Polish
- Swords Dance/Earthquake
- Close Combat

Nidoking (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Earth Power
- Ice Beam
- Flamethrower
- Taunt
This team has no safe switch ins for Terrakion, especially after a rock polish. With Continental Crush as a guaranteed OHKO on Latias, Terrakion makes quick work of this team. It also has a reliably safe switch in on scarf locked Krookodile. My second choice was Nidoking because of its ability to taunt Klefki and access to Earth Power + Ice Beam.
252 Atk Terrakion Stone Edge vs. 48 HP / 0 Def Pidgeot-Mega: 392-464 (122.8 - 145.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Terrakion Close Combat vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Klefki: 211-250 (66.5 - 78.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Terrakion Continental Crush (180 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Latias: 319-376 (105.9 - 124.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Terrakion Stone Edge vs. 248 HP / 156 Def Tentacruel: 187-222 (51.5 - 61.1%) -- 94.9% chance to 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery
252 Atk Terrakion Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Cobalion: 314-372 (97.2 - 115.1%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO
-1 252 Atk Terrakion Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Krookodile: 314-372 (94.8 - 112.3%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO

alomomola.gif

Aggron-Mega @ Aggronite
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Heavy Slam
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Avalanche

Alomomola @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Wish
- Protect
- Toxic

This team has really no defensive answer to mega aggron. Everything on the team bar cobalion has a chance to get 2hkod. Rocks also grab some extra ohkos. The other mon is alomomola, as aggron needs something to absorb potential scald burns from tentacruel, it helps deal with krook better, it it can scald burn and wear down cobalion, and it can wish pass to aggron if it gets chipped down.

0 Atk Aggron-Mega Avalanche vs. 48 HP / 0 Def Pidgeot-Mega: 278-328 (87.1 - 102.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
0 Atk Aggron-Mega Earthquake vs. 248 HP / 156 Def Tentacruel: 222-262 (61.1 - 72.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery
0 Atk Aggron-Mega Earthquake vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Klefki: 208-246 (65.6 - 77.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
-1 0 Atk Aggron-Mega Avalanche vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Krookodile: 186-220 (56.1 - 66.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
0 Atk Aggron-Mega Avalanche vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Latias: 252-298 (83.7 - 99%) -- 75% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Haxorus.png
Magneton.png

Haxorus @ Life Orb
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Poison Jab

Magneton @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Fire]
Haxorus runs this team right over after a single DD. Every non-steel here gets obliterated by +1 LO Outrage, and the revenge killer of this team fails to outrun its speed at Jolly +1. Magneton is here to lock Klefki in and kill it, as well as chip Coba into the range of +1 Outrage after just 1 Tbolt, letting Haxorus click outrage EVEN HARDER against this team.
Here's the Coba calcs:
252 SpA Magneton Thunderbolt vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Cobalion: 181-214 (56 - 66.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252 Atk Life Orb Mold Breaker Haxorus Outrage vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Cobalion: 168-198 (52 - 61.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
The game plan is really straightforward: Have Magneton zap the steels and then Haxorus can just click +1 outrage on everything cost-free.

This was a close vote, but Smallsmallrose wins this round! Congratulations!

Aerodactyl-Mega @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Ice Fang
- Pursuit
- Earthquake
This team was made in anticipation of Amoonguss' departure from the tier. It's heavy offense that is designed to overwhelm physical walls with almost every member of the team able to boost their Attack. It utilizes two lead sets in Azelf and Breloom to give the player more options to ensure the team gets the momentum it needs. Offensive teams have many problems when faced with three priority attacks and Mega Aerodactyl. Haxorus is there to punch holes in defensive teams that can open up oppurtuinities for the other Pokemon to sweep. Pursuit on Mega Aerodactyl is crucial to remove faster prioirty resists like Latias and Chandelure.

Once azu gets banned, just think of this week like Goodbye to an Azu, or something. This council vote comes at an inopportune time :psynervous:

Teams are due by Thursday, as usual.

gengar.gif

Primarina @ Choice Specs
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sparkling Aria
- Hydro Pump
- Moonblast
- Psychic

Gengar @ Focus Sash
Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Counter
- Sludge Wave
- Taunt

So yeah, this teams Primarina switch ins are nonexistent. The best bet to killing it is to wear it down with Scizor then revenge with something else. It can come in a free switch against Azumarill, and also against Haxorus if rocks arent up:

252 Atk Mold Breaker Haxorus Poison Jab vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Primarina: 244-288 (81 - 95.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

I also noticed every member besides Azelf is physical, making Counter Sash Gengar a threat. Not only that, this team lacks any Ghost resists. Pretty straightforward.

breloom.gif
doublade.gif

Breloom @ Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Spore
- Mach Punch
- Rock Tomb
- Bullet Seed

Doublade @ Eviolite
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Atk / 16 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Claw
- Gyro Ball
- Shadow Sneak

SD Doublade can find an opportunity to set up on a lot of Pokemon in that team, notably Breloom, Scizor, and an Outrage-locked Haxorus, and doesn't have much of an issue with cleaning once the team is a bit weaken. Breloom also has a pretty good matchup, being able to work as anti-lead, put something to sleep, or invite in either Scizor or Breloom to revenge kill it, which all gives Doublade more room to set up and potentially win.

Manectric.png
Starmie.png

Manectric @ Manectite
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Overheat
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Starmie @ Life Orb
Ability: Analytic
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Rapid Spin
Manectric does its thing nearly uncontested against this team with the lack of proper Electric resists. Aero can pursuit trap and/or try to revenge kill it fairly convincingly, but the team is forced to sack to do this properly. And even then losing an EQ/Pursuit 50/50 can cause Aero to eat a killing tbolt, and none of the mons here can pivot on Mane convincingly. Starmie resists every priority move the team has to offer while spinning Azelf's one time hazards if given a free turn, stopping rocks for the rest of the game. In addition, Starmie is another mon that's pretty much impossible for this team to pivot on, meaning it gets a kill any time it comes in on something slower.
