Brett Favre Is Playing For The Patriots?!

Not really. But while you're here, rate my team. Hehe. :P I decided to throw together some random EVed Pokemon and try them out. They worked very well on Shoddy Battle, so I thought maybe you guys could help me work out the kinks. Thanks in advance!

Uxie - Leftovers
Nature: Bold
Ability: Levitate
EV Spread: 252 HP/130 Defense/128 Special Defense
Moves:
Yawn
Stealth Rock
U-Turn
Protect

Uxie is a great starter, being an amazing defensive wall. I can set up Stealth Rock pretty much without concern, then I can Yawn my possible counters. U-Turn is whenever I need to get the hell out of there.

Mamoswine - Choice Band
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Snow Cloak
EV Spread: 252 Attack/252 Defense/6 HP
Moves:
Ice Shard
Ice Fang
Stone Edge
Earthquake

This Mamoswine is a freaking beast. The Defense EVs can actually help it live a Heracross' Megahorn. Snow Cloak doesn't exactly help it in most of my battles, but if someone pulls out a hail team, then this guy can get tons of help from it. Ice Shard is my main move, being a priority move. Stone Edge can take down pretty much everything, and Earthquake is there for another STAB.

Alakazam - Choice Scarf
Nature: Modest
Ability: Synchronize
EV Spread: 252 Special Attack/252 Speed/6 HP
Moves:
Psychic
Focus Blast
Shadow Ball
Trick

This guy is a beast. I actually had to replace Espeon with him, *sob*, because this one has better Special Attack. Choice Scarf helps him outspeed even Jolly Scarfing Garchomp, and with 405 Special Attack, most things won't be surviving without a Focus Sash. Grass Knot OHKO's Swampert, Shadow Ball and Focus Blast hit everything in the game for at least neutral, and Psychic does a lot with STAB.

Suicune - Leftovers
Nature: Bold
Ability: Pressure
EV Spread: 252 HP/252 Defense/6 Speed
Moves:
Rest
Roar
Surf
Hidden Power Electric

Suicune is a great physical wall. With Max HP and Max Def, only Special Attacks can take this down. Which is why I have Calm Mind. Toxic can slowly wear down my counters, and Surf gets STAB. Ice Beam is for fliers. I was also thinking about replacing Toxic with Roar. Help me out!

Blissey - Leftovers
Nature: Bold
Ability: Natural Cure
EV Spread: 252 HP/252 Defense/6 Special Defense
Moves:
Seismic Toss
Thunder Wave
Softboiled
Ice Beam

Max HP and Defense really help on Bliss as well. Even without 252 EVs in Special Defense, it has 306 Special Defense stat, which will help it in most cases. Ice Beam takes down Dragons easily, Seismic Toss is to wear down opponents, Thunder Wave is to slow them down, and Softboiled is so I can heal.

Infernape - Life Orb
Nature: Naive
Ability: Blaze
EV Spread: 252 Special Attack/232 Speed/24 Attack
Moves:
Flamethrower
Hidden Power Ice
ThunderPunch
Close Combat

Mixape is amazing. It can tear through teams like a fat man tears through cake. Close Combat rapes Blissey, ThunderPunch demolishes Gyarados, Hidden Power Ice destroys Garchomp and Salamence, and Flamethrower decimates Forretress, Skarmory, and Weezing. This thing is fast, which is another reason that it can sweep.

Well, there you have it. Thank you guys for reading, and please help me out with any problems you see! :)

Great team, a good balance of attack and defense. Roar on Suicune would be better, to have a backup plan against Gyarados and Tyranitar.

first off max hp on uxie. it can take hits much better with max hp and equal defenses (being base 75/130/130)

second, gk on zam isnt really worth it when you have suicune. you should be more worried about speedy ddtaun gyaras, who will ruin most of your team, your only hope being revenge killing with a combination of zam and mamo

you could throw hp electric on suicune over toxic (im not sure what toxic is supposed to hit really, maybe celebi to stop it form outstalling you but it will just twave/leech seed you and switch out ?_? )

thnuderbolt on uxie is another idea, over the useless (imo) protect.

using bulky mamo isnt really gonna help with heracross who happily runs through your team (scarfhera in particular since it doesnt need to run from infernape)

with no recovery on cune, chomp has alot of easy access points on this team.

you could always repalce suicune with fire blast thunderbolt hp ice pain split weezing to handle3 physical threats in one ;D

Who's Brett Favre? While you're at it, what are the Patriots (some sports team, but what sport)?

I glanced over your team, and my first comment would be to max Uxie's HP and spread the remaining EVs in his defences equally. This way, you get more overall bulkiness, since Uxie's base HP is quite low, while his defences are really high.

Mamoswine: I can't say if the Def. Evs will help or not, but if it does, you might want to consider Peck over Ice Fang: Ice Fang's effect stinks with Mamoswine's Speed, and you already got a STAB Ice attack anyway. Peck, on the other hand, can let you OHKO Heracross.

Alakazam: Energy Ball doesn't offer much coverage, so put Trick over it. Tricking a Choice Scarf onto a wall will help your team a lot (with Choice Scarf, the standard Blissey will reach a whooping 219 Speed, and will be pretty much useless.

Suicune: You were right, Roar over Toxic will help against stat-uppers and Baton Pass chains. Toxic can wear down opponents, but a non-Sleep Talk Suicune doesn't live long enough to Toxic-stall.

Blissey: Someone just got here from Advance. The ADV standard doesn't work anymore, so I recommand using Wish-Protect over Seismic Toss and Softboiled, since Seismic Toss wastes time.

first off max hp on uxie. it can take hits much better with max hp and equal defenses (being base 75/130/130)

Alright. Done.

second, gk on zam isnt really worth it when you have suicune. you should be more worried about speedy ddtaun gyaras, who will ruin most of your team, your only hope being revenge killing with a combination of zam and mamo

So... what should I put on over Grass Knot? >_>

you could throw hp electric on suicune over toxic (im not sure what toxic is supposed to hit really, maybe celebi to stop it form outstalling you but it will just twave/leech seed you and switch out ?_? )

Yeah, this particular Suicune doesn't have HP Electric. I could try to get it, but idk. I'll just put Roar over Toxic for now.

thnuderbolt on uxie is another idea, over the useless (imo) protect.

Protect on Uxie is so I can
A) Get a free Leftovers recovery
B) After I use Yawn the first turn, I can stall them out so they fall asleep.

using bulky mamo isnt really gonna help with heracross who happily runs through your team (scarfhera in particular since it doesnt need to run from infernape)

Mamoswine, after Choice Band, Max Attack, and STAB will easily do a minimum of 138% damage with an Ice Shard against a Heracross. Suddenly, the Scarf is useless, and they have a dead bug.

with no recovery on cune, chomp has alot of easy access points on this team.

So... put Rest on Suicune? I don't get it.

you could always repalce suicune with fire blast thunderbolt hp ice pain split weezing to handle3 physical threats in one ;D

I'll try out Weezing, but again, I like Suicune. So I'm not 100% sure.

Well, either way, Thanks for rating.

Who's Brett Favre? While you're at it, what are the Patriots (some sports team, but what sport)?

I hope for your soul that you're kidding.

Anyways, on to the team.

First, max Uxie's HP as said. Then, use Thunderbolt over Protect, because stalling with protect doesn't do much. Thunderbolt helps against the now rare Gyarados leads, and all the other odd taunting leads.

On Mamoswine, either make it 252 HP or 252 Speed, the extra defense won't help much, and it has that amazing 110 Base HP.

Use HP Electric or Roar over Toxic on Suicune as Gorm pointed out.

Other than that, the team looks fine.

Who's Brett Favre? While you're at it, what are the Patriots (some sports team, but what sport)?

Brett Favre is a football player who has played for many years. The Patriots are a very good football team. (Football as in American football, not UK football (idk really how to explain that))

I glanced over your team, and my first comment would be to max Uxie's HP and spread the remaining EVs in his defences equally. This way, you get more overall bulkiness, since Uxie's base HP is quite low, while his defences are really high.

Ok, I already decided on Maxing his HP out.

Ice Shard, with Choice Band, Max Attack, and STAB will always OHKO a 0 Def EV Heracross. But Peck sounds good.

Alakazam: Energy Ball doesn't offer much coverage, so put Trick over it. Tricking a Choice Scarf onto a wall will help your team a lot (with Choice Scarf, the standard Blissey will reach a whooping 219 Speed, and will be pretty much useless.

Lol, I like the idea of Trick. I'll try that out.

Suicune: You were right, Roar over Toxic will help against stat-uppers and Baton Pass chains. Toxic can wear down opponents, but a non-Sleep Talk Suicune doesn't live long enough to Toxic-stall.

Yeah, Roar over Toxic on Suicune.

Blissey: Someone just got here from Advance. The ADV standard doesn't work anymore, so I recommand using Wish-Protect over Seismic Toss and Softboiled, since Seismic Toss wastes time.

For the record, I did not just get here from Advance. I tried this out on Shoddy, and this Blissey works amazingly. It can wall out teams like no other. I'll try out Wish-Protect, but still, I like this set.

Again, thank you for rating.

I hope for your soul that you're kidding.

Lol.

Anyways, on to the team.

Hooray.

First, max Uxie's HP as said. Then, use Thunderbolt over Protect, because stalling with protect doesn't do much. Thunderbolt helps against the now rare Gyarados leads, and all the other odd taunting leads.

Alright, Thunderbolt over Protect it is.

On Mamoswine, either make it 252 HP or 252 Speed, the extra defense won't help much, and it has that amazing 110 Base HP.

Ok, I'll try out 252 HP EVs, because Ice Shard doesn't necessarily require Speed EVs.

Use HP Electric or Roar over Toxic on Suicune as Gorm pointed out.

Yeah, Roar over Toxic is done.

Other than that, the team looks fine.

Yay. :P

Thanks for the rate.

just one thing. since u-turn is a physical attack bold reduces its power. Your better off with impish. It doesnt make a big difference but changing to impish doent hurt!

For Infernape, I'd switch Flamethrower with OverHeat
Its highly powerful, for 2 Uses before you;'ll notice a significant power drop, and by the time you switch out, your opponent would have place in an infernape counter.

Fire Blast is better than Overheat because his Infernape looks like an endgamer Overheat's -2 SpAtt isn't really good.

Without Rest Suicune isn't going to be successful at all. I also suggest you put HP Electric on it for Gyarados, who really wrecks your team ATM. Just use Calm Mind, Rest, HP Electric, and Surf. You don't really need Ice Beam, as Garchomp usually has Yache Berry anyways, and you don't OHKO ScarfChomp either without significant EV investment. The best thing you can do to prepare for Yache Chomp isn't packing several ice moves, it is wearing it down or revenge killing. Either way, it won't be a problem for this team. Mamoswine/Infernape can hit first, destroying its Yache Berry, then the other one can come in and finish it. Even if they die, Suicune can Surf it, then you can finish it off with Alakazam. I just find Gyarados a bigger threat, especially for teams that have a few pokes who outspeed.

Either way, for Alakazam, maybe try out Trick. You can lead with it and screw up a lot of leads. Things like Focus Sash Aerodactyl and Azelf won't appreciate the extra speed, while you don't have to switch because you have Focus Sash. Once you have Stealth Rock laid, Trick the Sash onto a wall like Blissey and get Leftovers, laughing in their faces! Another scenario this is useful for is Bronzong. He likes to set up Stealth Rock, so take his Lum Berry/Leftovers and make him pay by using a Choice Scarf Hypnosis or Stealth Rock. Late game Bronzong will have a trouble beating Mamoswine with a Choice Scarf Gyro Ball.

I disagree with some other people on Seismic Toss. Keep it! Without Seismic Toss Blissey won't be able to beat the majority of sweepers. Without Seismic Toss you lose to Heatran, Raikou, Azelf, and even Alakazam. The only other reliable option is Toxic/Flamethrower/Wish/Protect, but that is walled by Heatran too easily.
