Bronzong @ Leftovers
Ability: Heatproof
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Body Press
- Psychic / Toxic
- Iron Defense
- Rest

Bronzong wins the gold medal for walling and sweeping thanks to its Iron Defense + Body Press set, which uses its natural bulk to find setup opportunities against Copperajah, Diancie, and Braviary. Psychic hits Poison-types like Toxicroak and Garbodor, while Toxic wears down walls like Sylveon. Rest is imperative to combat status and chip damage when setting up. Heatproof prevents Salazzle and Exploud from revenge killing Bronzong, although Levitate has its perks, like walling Mudsdale. 88 Defense EVs prevent Tyrantrum's Close Combat from 2HKOing, while the remaining investment usually prevents Exploud's Boomburst from 3HKOing. Ghost-types like Golurk and Decidueye are the bane of this set, so Drapion and Braviary are appropriate, offensive teammates. Vaporeon, Sylveon, and Diancie offer Heal Bell support to awaken Bronzong if it is forced to use Rest mid-game and still wants a chance at sweeping late-game. Bulkier Pokemon like Sylveon and Haze Mantine outstall Bronzong, so try using lures like Choice Band Guzzlord and Toxic Salazzle to deal with them.

don't vibe w/ the dragalge and ninjask mentions too much in the second sentence because they just pivot out of you into something that beats you down

be clearer w/ the head smash bit; iirc it prevents a 2hko from cb

slash toxic after psychic; it's helpful against sylv/ghosts. ofc go into the downsides of doing so

also merge the first two sentences together to improve flow; as is that second sentence is quite disruptive

qc 1/1 when done
