Not A Bug Bug Report - Mechanics

What type of bug are you reporting? Mechanics

What is the bug?
Heya,

So I came up with a strategy using Symbiosis Oranguru holding a Booster Energy in combination with paradox Pokémon. While testing my team, I realised that the Booster Energy isn't always transferred to the other Pokémon while, to me, the conditions of item consumption seems relatively similar.

I think this either is a bug or wrong coding.

Are you able to replicate it? If so, how?
I have done three tests so far in doubles:

Test 1: My Iron Moth holding a Power Herb uses Meteor Beam. The Power Herb is consumed, as it says so in the text, but Booster Energy is NOT transferred by my Oranguru.

Test 2: My Iron Hands holding a White Herb is hit by an opposing Intimidate. The White Herb is consumed, as it says so in the text, but Booster Energy is NOT transferred by my Oranguru

Test 3: My Raging Bolt holding a Weakness Policy is hit by a supereffective hit (mostly friendly Oranguru's Bulldoze). The Weakness Policy is consumed, as it says so in the text, and Booster Energy IS transferred by my Oranguru and activates immediately.

The new Paradoxes aren't considered as such in the game's code (https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/scarlet-violet-battle-mechanics-research.3709545/post-9900134 https://gist.github.com/Lusamine/a8604135b89dcfa840c61900c43df569). Part of the consequence of the Paradox identifier is that they can't give or receive Booster Energy; this means that all the old Paradoxes correctly aren't given Booster Energy by Symbiosis, but the new Paradoxes (due to lacking the identifier; Raging Bolt in this example) will be.
