Upper Hand fails to work against Gale Wings boosted moves in Linked

Are you able to replicate it? If so, how?
Use an Upper Hand as a non Linked move (linked moves take the lowest priority of both moves so if you pair it with Mach Punch or Fire Punch it is reduced to +1 or 0 instead of +3) against a Talonflame with Gale wings at 100% HP

Included in the Linked replay is also a showcase of Greninja using Linked Priority moves being blocked by Upper Hand

As such the means for Upper Hand to fail seems to be with the ability of the opponent rather than the linking of moves
