This is a known bug, and it applies to using any move on your partner while using Ally Switch - it's always supposed to fail.Soak + Ally Switch's interaction is currently bugged on Pokemon Showdown. On cartridge, if you target your ally with Soak and then use Ally Switch, the move fails. On Pokemon Showdown, you use Soak on the enemy Pokemon adjacent to the Soak using Pokemon's new position.
This might sound like a weird bug, but it's a scenario that's come up in a few games today on the VGC Sun ladder. It'd be great to get this fixed soon before it influences any more games.
this glitch hasn’t been fixed yet. I thought I could repost this considering it’s kind of buried in page 4.So there are some issues on showdown with protean mechanics: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen72v2doubles-757690758 as you can see, in this replay, kecleon changes typing even when fake out and sucker punch fail. another issue I’ve seen is when I used power up punch targetting my own empty slot kecleon didn’t change typing as it is supposed to. I also tested this on cart here’s the replay: ( 2USW-WWWW-WWWZ-5DV5 ). I think this may also affect moves like mat block but I haven’t tested that on cart yet.
This is intended and not a bug since the client cant tell the difference between an illusion and a real pokemon (this is done to prevent information leaks)Graphical glitch in a doubles battle where two darmanitan sprites were shown:
Might be due to the fact that a zoroark illusioned as darmanitan earlier in the battle, not sure. Replay is here: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7randomdoublesbattle-799875282
Kyurem B had Water Bubble active during the previous turn (if I remember PiC correctly).http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7partnersincrime-800064323
I'd like to bring your attention to the damage dealt by Victini's V-create on turn 9 of this matche compared to the damage dealt by that same move on turn 8, while keeping in mind that its attack stat was dropped by 2 stages in the beginning of turn 9.
Both DaWoblefet and I tried to justify what happened to no avail.
ok that's pretty embarrassing, thanks for clarifying and I'm sorry for bothering you with smth I should've seen myself.Kyurem B had Water Bubble active during the previous turn (if I remember PiC correctly).
Are you sure everything had speed investment?ok that's pretty embarrassing, thanks for clarifying and I'm sorry for bothering you with smth I should've seen myself.
In the meantime, another weird situation came up, as a Tapu Lele on the following replay, whose item was confirmed to be Choice Scarf when it outsped not only their own Mega Alakazam, but also my own Tapu Lele after theirs got 2 speed drops, managed to use different moves in the end of the game.

I'm sorry if, once again, I'm just being dumb and forgetting about smth.
yes and, even if it didn't, min speed Lele still outspeeds -2 max speed LeleAre you sure everything had speed investment?
Choice locks break at the end of the turn if you no longer know the move you were locked into. Your opponent's Tapu Lele didn't actually have Psychic; it was shared from Alakazam. When Alakazam fainted, it didn't have access to Psychic anymore so it was free to select any of its naturally known moves. This also happens in normal gameplay when you use Choiced Transform or Mimic or whatever.

Thanks for reminding me of this, I wrote a fix for it several months ago but couldn't figure out why Doom Desire/Future Sight would also fail in this situation even though I specifically excluded them (you can start the effect against your own slot but it will never actually hit the user). Got back to it today and it'll be fixed next update!Soak + Ally Switch's interaction is currently bugged on Pokemon Showdown.
