Buildin' With Legos

My friend in Cambridge has a whole room for Lego, his dad collects hundreds of sets.

We were going to make a SW battle but we ran out of time plus the scale difference was too great.

I still have 2 large boxes of Lego.

I loved Lego back when I was kid. Still have a bunch of it in my room. Always liked building stuff, so Lego was awesome. I remember building some models a few years ago, just from looking into old catalogs, from stuff I used to have, but was just random parts at the time (couldn't use the instruction booklets since I had no idea where they were or if I even had them anymore). Still bought the first Bionicle models, but haven't got anything since then.

My mom found a video of me and my best friend when we were 6 standing at the top of the stairs chanting "JOHN HENRY JOHN HENRY", then proceeding to drop this immense LEGO statue of a dude with a hammer we had made down 20 feet where it shattered into a million pieces.

Legos were my childhood pretty much. I miss them :-(

Oh, Playmobil was awesome for making stories and such. I remember that same friend had thousands of dollars worth of Playmobil and we set up these epic livingroom countries with castles and armies and infrastructure and everything. Playmobil rocked because it was too European to really care about being politically correct.

Actually at target the other day I saw a private jet set- with a Texan oil tycoon included, cowboy hat and all.

Medieval lego (the old stuff) is so awesome it's scary.

PLAYMOBIL WAS THE GREATEST EVER. Seriously I had so much of it...the animal stuff was my bread and butter.

lol, I had a conversation with one of my friends about this recently. I liked all kinds, but Bionicle were the only ones that always had enough pieces.

Xx spankles xX: Dont you miss YOUR tonka truck and legos?
Le Hyro: legos yes
Le Hyro: but
Le Hyro: they suck
Le Hyro:they enever have enough pieces to make something really cool

All the other ones ran out before I finish. Now I'm too lazy to completely finish.

I used to be quite leet with my legos, I even made guns and stuff to play around with friends with.
We were an imaginative little bunch.

But I've since lost all of my legos.
I probably misplaced the box when I moved one of the few times I did from my elementary years to my adolescent and teenage years.
Shame really because now they only sell themed lego sets from what I've seen.
I can't find those fucking huge red buckets of just generic legos anywhere nowadays.

I had a lot of Legos when I was a kid. I even had that one were you could build a Lego robot! It was pretty neat.
Are you talking about the ones with those little remote controls?
I always saw those in advertisements but never purchased one.
They always caught my eye though.

It was the one where it had a big block that you could program with your computer. You would make the program on your comp and beam it into the block with an IR port.

That's the one I'm talking about.
That is massive amounts of win, friend.

I just stuck with building houses and whatnot with my giant red tub of legos ^______^
