Bulky King.

Before I start this, I'll say that this is not for singles since there's no way of getting rid of Slaking's awful ability unless your opponent uses Skill Swap or Gastro Acid, which is unlikely. I personally use Gastro Acid on it from Shuckle in doubles. This is an alternaive I thought of instead of the regular CB Giga Impact/Return Scheme. Anyway here it is:

Slaking@Leftovers
128 HP/232 Att/150 Sp.Def
Adamant

Night Slash/Shadow Claw
Return
Slack off
EarthQuake
With that EV spread the Stats are: 473HP/236Def/236Spe/203 SpDef

This has pretty good type coverage, and anything that resists it is basically a wall, in which Slack off comes in handy. You can also put the 32/34 EVs that are in attack into def. to make it more defensive swayed.

It's speed also isn't that bad so you can otspeed somethings without even being hit. But even when it is hit, it takes the hit well and attacks back with full force most likely resulting in a OHKO.

Here are some damage calc's so you can see how well it fairs against common OUs from the special and physical side.

Weavile
Adamant/252 attack
(Brick Break)
Regular - 33.19% - 39.11%
Life Orb'd - 43.13% - 50.74%
(Ice Punch)
Regular - 24.95% - 29.39%

Lucario
Modest/252 Sp.Att
(Aura Sphere)
73.57% - 86.47%
(Dark Pulse)
21.78% - 25.79%

You can see it in action here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-ZLwSVvKJI (not really the best demonstration since the opponent wasn't a great trainer, but it's the only thing I have of it ATM)

Sorry if this has already been done.

i like this idea, but from what i know of doubles (nothing) walls/tanks are not as useful as in singles. its more about seting up pokes to sweep.

also i thought about this today, but did not develop the idea.

Why not just Gastro Acid/Skill Swap away and sweep? It's better suited for that anyway.

He's not suggesting that Gastro Acid/Skill Swap shouldn't be used. He's just proposing a different set/spread on the Slaking itself. Also, the goal isn't to make Slaking into a wall. It just needs to be able to take hits in Doubles since it can't usually take out both opponents before they can move.

I also use a Shuckle/Slaking combo in Doubles. My Slaking has pretty much all of its EVs in Special Defense and Speed, however. I put Rock Slide on mine as a bit of filler, but I end up using it over half the time because one of my opponents is usually weak to Rock and it has a 30% flinch rate.

Not to be mean, but you kind of sucked in thta match.

When you Baton pass with Umbreon, use Gastro Acid on it with Shuckle...that way Slaking comes in and gets Gastro Acid'ed right away. Then Slaking can start attacking right off instead fo waiting a turn or two...

Also, Selfdestruct is kinda dumb on a Belly-Drummed Snorlax, try Rest since you have a Chesto Berry, that way you can get back up to your considerable full health.

Slakign could work, but only in doubles, which arent veyr popular.

I prefer a lead of

Adamant @ Choice Band
252 Atk/252 Spd
-Return
-Pursuit
-Fire Punch
-Hammer Arm

It deals out massive damage, and is agreat revenge killer. I generally start with Return or Fire Punch to take out a Zong coming in to wall or hit Skamr for heavy damage. It also killls Forry OHKO.

Hammer Arm is for rocks and the steels that don't also resist Fighting.

Yes, I will admit I made a few mistakes in that match, which I said on the side where the comments were.

I have self destruct on Snorlax because when there's a fighting pokemon against my team, I have to get rid of it to avoid a sweep so I self destruct and switch into Shuckle because if you didn't notice, all of my pokemon on that team are weak to fighting. Besides, Snorlax only learns Self-destruct through the move tutor in XD or Coloseum(I don't remeber which one) and it's not really meant to stay alive the whole battle. Even if I did have rest, it wouldn't have been able to use it since it fainted before it could move.

@cornflake pk: In singles yes, but in doubles it's a totally diferent metagame. What TheMaskedNitpicker said was exactly was I was trying to do. :)
