[OVERVIEW]

While Butterfree's decent Special Attack and access to Quiver Dance and Tinted Lens are appealing, there's little reason to use it over the otherwise superior Lilligant. Its middling Speed leaves it outsped, even at +1 Speed, by common Choice Scarf users like Togedemaru and Mesprit that can easily dispose of it. Its typing also makes it susceptible to Stealth Rock and common attacking types in Flying and Electric, and its poor bulk makes it almost impossible to successfully set up with Quiver Dance.

Sadly, however, this set is outclassed by Lilligant, another user of Quiver Dance, since it's faster and hits harder. It also has more setup opportunities than Butterfree, as it still has access to Sleep Powder, isn't weak to Stealth Rock, and has a superior typing.

While Butterfree's access to Quiver Dance, two great abilities and decent Special Attack are appealing, there's no reason to use it over Lilligant, a superior user of Quiver Dance (mention its only niche, which is tinted lens. this is the only reason you'd ever consider using this pokemon). Its middling speed leaves it outspeed, even after a boost (say at +1), by common Choice Scarf users, like Togedemaru and Mesprit, who can easily dispose of it. Its typing also makes it susceptible to the infamous Stealth Rock, common attacking types in Flying and Electric while its bulk makes it almost impossible to successfully set up with Quiver Dance.
