Flareon is a niche but threatening wallbreaker in BW ZU thanks to its sheer power and offensive coverage, and its decent special bulk lets it switch into special attackers like Glaceon and Mr. Mime comfortably if Stealth Rock isn't up. Meganium and Wormadam-G are common defensive Pokemon that are threatened by Flareon's STAB Fire Blast. Superpower nails one of the best special walls in the tier, Clefairy, for significant damage, and it similarly threatens other Pokemon weak to Fighting such as Lairon, Walrein, and Munchlax. Shadow Ball targets Grumpig, Frillish, and Lampent, which are the only Pokemon that resist both Fire Blast and Superpower, as well as Solrock. Hidden Power Grass dispatches Water-types like Staryu and Whiscash. An Expert Belt accentuates Flareon's capability to hit most of the tier with super effective damage, powering up its Superpower to OHKO Lairon and potentially OHKO specially defensive Clefairy. Flash Fire can help Flareon capitalize on Fire-types like Simisear and Lampent locked into Fire-type moves. A Mild nature maximizes Flareon's wallbreaking power, preserves its good Special Defense, and still enables it to outspeed defensive Pokemon without Speed investment like Meganium, Staryu, and Solrock as well as slower attackers like Lairon and bulky Whiscash.

Fast sweepers on offense teams like Raichu and Leafeon benefit greatly from the holes Flareon breaks in teams and especially the threat it poses to troublesome Grass-types like Meganium and Ivysaur. Flareon requires support from Pokemon that deter or remove entry hazards such as Staryu, Taunt Persian, and Bibarel to prevent it from being gouged by Stealth Rock every time it enters the field. Offensive pivots such as Persian and Emolga can help bring Flareon in safely while benefitting from it threatening defensive answers to them such as Lairon, Solrock, and Wormadam-G. Mienfoo can similarly provide support with Knock Off and U-turn, and it benefits from Flareon checking Ivysaur and Gloom. Shelgon and Muk are troublesome for Flareon due to their great bulk and lack of weaknesses to Flareon's coverage moves, so Flareon depends on checks to them like Lairon, Solrock, and Hippopotas. Many of these checks to Shelgon can set hazards up for Flareon, helping it reach safer KO ranges against foes like Meganium, Arbok, and Frillish.

Flareon is a niche but threatening wallbreaker in BW ZU thanks to its sheer power and offensive coverage (i think it's important to mention its solid spd somewhere in here since it allows it to be a switch into glaceon quite well if rocks arent up and it take on grumpig and mime quite well. it's also why it runs a mild nature because its spd is worth keeping). Meganium and Wormadam-G are common defensive Pokemon that are threatened by Flareon's STAB Fire Blast. Superpower nails one of the best special walls in the tier, Clefairy, for significant damage, and similarly threatens other Pokemon weak to Fighting such as Lairon, Walrein, and Munchlax. Shadow Ball targets Grumpig, Frillish, and Lampent, which are otherwise the only Pokemon that resist both Fire Blast and Superpower, as well as Solrock. Hidden Power Grass dispatches Water-types like Staryu and Whiscash. An Expert Belt accentuates Flareon's capability to hit most of the tier with super effective damage (does it help pick up any ohkoes or 2hkoes?). Flash Fire can help Flareon capitalize on opposing Fire-types like Simisear and Lampent locked into Fire-type moves. A Mild nature maximizes Flareon's wallbreaking and still enables it to outspeed defensive Pokemon without Speed investment like Meganium, Staryu, and Solrock, as well as slower attackers like Lairon and bulky Whiscash.

Fast sweepers on offense teams like Raichu and Leafeon benefit greatly from the holes Flareon breaks in teams (mention since flareon blasts through the grasses for them and whatever else applies). Mienfoo similarly supports Flareon while benefitting from its offensive potential against checks to it like Ivysaur and Gloom. Shelgon (could add Muk to in here too) is troublesome for Flareon due to its great bulk and lack of weaknesses to Flareon's coverage moves, so Flareon depends on checks to it like Lairon, Solrock, and Hippopotas. mention how these checks to shelgon are also helpful at setting hazards up so flareon can reach safer KO ranges on stuff like Meganium, Arbok, and Frillish

Meganium and Wormadam-G are common defensive Pokemon that are threatened by Flareon's STAB Fire Blast. Superpower nails one of the best special walls in the tier, Clefairy, for significant damage, and it independent cause if u want a comma before "and" similarly threatens other Pokemon weak to Fighting such as Lairon, Walrein, and Munchlax. Shadow Ball targets Grumpig, Frillish, and Lampent, which are otherwise the only Pokemon that resist both Fire Blast and Superpower, as well as Solrock. Hidden Power Grass dispatches Water-types like Staryu and Whiscash. Many of these checks to Shelgon can set hazards up for Flareon, helping it reach safer KO ranges against foes like Meganium, Arbok, and Frillish.
