Set Description
=============
Stone Edge is Tyranitar's strongest STAB move and is its best option to hit Rock-weak and neutral targets, such as Volcarona, Zapdos, Genesect, and more. Crunch is used to beat Choice Scarf Cresselia, Latios, Jellicent, and Chandelure. Taunt is used to beat stall Cresselia, Registeel, and Crustle. Counter is used to beat Choice Scarf Landorus-T, Arcanine, and stall Snorlax that runs Seismic Toss. A Chople Berry allows Tyranitar to survive many non-STAB Fighting-type moves, such as Focus Blast from Thundurus-T or Meloetta and +1 Attack Superpower from Tornadus.

EVs
=============
Tyranitar's HP and Defense EVs, along with its Chople Berry, allow it to survive a Close Combat from Adamant Choice Scarf or Custap Berry Sawk. The Speed EVs allow Tyranitar to outspeed Crustle before a Shell Smash, which it can prevent with Taunt.

Usage Tips
=============
Against Cresselia, Tyranitar should always use Crunch on the first turn. This is because Cresselia often runs Choice Scarf sets with Trick, which makes using Taunt dangerous. Even against stall Cresselia sets, using Crunch on the first turn does not make Tyranitar lose the matchup. Defensive Chople Berry Tyranitar faces a near-coinflip scenario against Crustle. Using Taunt on the first turn wins if Crustle uses Shell Smash, but if Crustle uses X-Scissor, it will likely 2HKO before Tyranitar can 2HKO in return. If predicting X-Scissor, Tyranitar can use Counter on the first turn, which, if successful, lets Crunch KO the next turn.

Stone Edge is Tyranitar's strongest STAB move and is its best option to hit neutral targets id add targets you hit super effectively too like zapdos and volcarona. Crunch is used to beat Choice Scarf Cresselia, Latios, Jellicent, and Chandelure. Taunt is used to beat Stall Cresselia, Registeel, and SubTect Raikou you dont need taunt to beat sub tect raik because of sand, id mention crustle here . Counter is used to beat Scarf Landorus-T, Arcanine, and Stall Snorlax that runs Seismic Toss. A Chople Berry is held as it allows Tyranitar to survive many non-STAB Fighting-type moves, such as Focus Blast from Thundurus-T, Close Combat from Staraptor, and +1 Attack Superpower from Tornadus.

Even against Stall Cresselia sets, using Crunch on the first turn does not make Tyranitar lose the matchup. There are two possible ways to win Defensive Chople Tyranitar against Crustle: Tyranitar can use Taunt on the first turn, but this has an unfavorable roll to survive two X-Scissors from Crustle; Tyranitar can also use Counter on the first turn if an X-Scissor is predicted, which brings Crustle down to an HP where it can be OHKOed by Crunch. However, using Counter on the first turn is more advisable if the other two members of your team are weak to Crustle, as opponents would usually expect the Defensive Chople Tyranitar set as a Crustle answer. i would remove this last line, idt advice like this should be part of a set analysis

Using Taunt on the first turn wins if Crustle uses Shell Smash, but if Crustle uses X-Scissor, it will likely 2HKO before Tyranitar can 2HKO in return. (I imagine this still makes sense? correct/change if needed. also i removed extra linebreak under)
