C Stall

This is my stall team that I have ran for a week or so now. It has a win percentage of about 75% on the ladder after about 105 battles, which is not great but not bad either considering the Pokemon I use(3 UUs) and the strategy I employ.

Drapion (M) @ Shuca Berry
Ability: Battle Armor
EVs: 100 HP/152 Atk/252 Spd/4 SDef
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Crunch
- Brick Break
- Swords Dance
- Toxic Spikes
Drapion is my lead. For a while I did not run him as my lead, but it seemed like I could never end up getting Toxic Spikes down because I never felt comfortable bringing him in. However, as a lead, he usually faces other Stealth Rockers who usually don't attack 1st turn, so I always get at least one Toxic Spikes in. Shuca Berry is in case I face a lead Metagross or Swampert that will use Earthquake. Against Lead Azelf, I usually do not Toxic Spike 1st turn and instead Crunch, which will do 99% in most cases while Azelf can either Stealth Rock or Fire Blast for less than 50% damage.
I have him maxed out at Speed so he can place Toxic Spikes ahead of most leads, as well as other Pokemon in case I switch him back in later in the game. That is Drapion's main role on my team, to lay down the Toxic Spikes.
His secondary role is a quick fix for now that I implemented becuase I kept losing to teams who ran a Curse Rest Snorlax or Calm Mind Rest Suiciune as their last Pokemon, outstalling me. I ran Knock Off on him originally, but changed to Swords Dance so I can at least have a chance against these two fiends when they try to stat up at the end of the game. Because of this, I moved 152 HP EVs into Attack for more oomph, which will 2HKO Zapdos after a Swords Dance.

Skarmory (M) @ Shed Shell
Ability: Keen Eye
EVs: 252 HP/64 Atk/192 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Brave Bird
- Spikes
- Roost
- Whirlwind
Skarmory is my physical wall, though not as good as a physical wall in past generations, he still gets it done for the most part. This is a pretty standard Skarmory. He outspeeds Machamp which can harrass my team, and Brave Bird usually does Machamp in. Many matches I do not get Spikes down, but I still keep the move in stock for Jirachi and Scizor. Whirlwind is for Snorlaxes who think they can come in and curse, or anything else that thinks it can sit behind a substitute.

Mismagius (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/4 Spd/252 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Will-o-wisp
- Shadow Ball
- Pain Split
- Thunderbolt
Mismagius is my Rapid Spin blocker first and foremost. I give her a bulky Special Defense spread, though she doesn't shrug off Special Attacks as well as I would like, she does the job. She outduels Rotoms and Gengars with Shadow Ball, her Shadow Ball hits enemy Rotoms/Gengars harder than Rotoms/Gengars hit me with their Shadow Ball. I chose her over Dusknoir for more attacking power. Many times I bring her in against Swampert or Metagross leads who try and Earthquake my Drapion, meaning they can either sit in and eat a Will o Wisp or switch and have that eat a Will O Wisp. Pain Split is for Blisseys who think they can come in on me, and Pain Split is basically the most reliable recovery move here.

Blissey (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Def/80 SAtk/176 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Softboiled
- Stealth Rock
- Ice Beam
- Aromatherapy
I tried to use Togekiss as my special wall, but Togekiss just couldn't get the job done because he couldn't take Ice or Electric attacks well. I had no choice but to bring in Blissey, as much as I didn't want to. I used Blissey as my lead for a while with Stealth Rock, but I viewed Blissey as too important to my team to use as a lead, and more often than not switched her out first turn then kept her in. I go with Aromatherapy over another special move for teams that like to use Toxic or Thunder Wave a lot, as a succesful stall team must stay away from status. I put Stealth Rock on her because it doesn't fit anywhere else on my team, and Ice Beam because Thunderbolt is walled by ground types and Flamethrower leaves me helpless against Heatran. Because Scizor is such a common switch in to my Blissey, I have considered replacing Ice Beam with Flamethrower, but haven't yet.

Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 128 HP/128 Def/252 Spd
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
- Ice Beam
My Rapid Spinner. I don't get Rapid Spin off a lot because of Starmie's frailness, but its needed, especially against teams who layer the rocks and spikes. I tried to go without a rapid spinner on my team but it proved too much. Stall teams rely on switching, and you need to be able to switch without being hurt doing so. I may not get Rapid Spin off right when the rocks/spikes go down, but I get it eventually, and thats what matters. I go with Thunderbolt/Ice Beam instead of Surf for more type coverage and a weapon against Dragons. Catching Flygon or Salamence in an outrage is a good thing with Ice Beam, bad with Surf. And I go with Recover to go with the stall nature of my team.

Gastrodon (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sticky Hold
EVs: 252 HP/128 Def/128 SDef
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Recover
- Stockpile
- Earthquake
- Toxic
My secret weapon. With Trick being used so often now, as well as me seeing my team fall to Jirachis of all types before bringing in Gastrodon, I really think Gastrodon is a surprise to people who see it. I love switching in on a trick, giving me a free Stockpile. I go with Earthquake over Surf so I can hit Calm Mind Jirachi, the main reason I brought Gastrodon in my team. I go with Stockpile over Curse for more defensive coverage, as this is a stall Pokemon first and foremost. Toxic hits things that Earthquake can't, especially Zapdos and Latias. I have to watch out for Psycho Shift though. This set is walled by Gengar, Bronzong, Weezing, and Skarmory, however I can outstall all of those Pokemon with Stockpile and Recover, though Skarmory can Whirlwind me away.
