Overview
########

  • Solid Rock.
  • Good typing that allows Camerupt to check Electric- and Fire-types well. It is also a Stealth Rock user without a Grass-type Weakness.
  • Used on Balance and Stall.
  • Camerupt isn't that bulky.
  • Good offensive stats, but has low Speed.
  • It is a Camel.

Moves
========

  • Stealth Rock.
  • Lava Plume is a good STAB and is useful to fish for burns.
  • Earthquake to hit stuff hard (Dragalge, Probopass, etc)
  • Roar to phaze.
  • Toxic can be used to cripple stuff switching on Camerupt.
  • Will-O-Wisp can be used over Roar if you need Camerupt to be able to cripple Hariyama and Rhydon.

Set Details
========

  • Max HP and Max SpD with a Sassy Nature to take on most Electric-, Fire-, Ice- and Grass-types.
  • Leftovers for recovery.
  • Solid Rock to take Water- and Ground-types attacks a little bit better if Camerupt needs to take one.

Usage Tips
========

  • Set up Stealth Rock.
  • Camerupt has bad matchup against most Stealth Rock users, so its usually best to not lead with it. Camerupt is better off coming in later and get up Stealth Rock.
  • Click Lava Plume as much as possible to fish for burns.
  • Click Earthquake if you want to hurt specially bulky Pokemon or things weak to it.
  • Use Roar to phaze threats trying to set up on Camerupt and to rack up entry hazards damage.
  • If using Toxic, use it to cripple an incoming Water- or Ground-type Pokemon that will force Camerupt out.
  • If using Toxic, use it to cripple an incoming Water- or Ground-type Pokemon that will force Camerupt out or to cripple an incoming physical attacker such as Assault Vest Hariyama and Rhydon.

Team Options
========

  • Stall teammates: Pelipper, Ferroseed, Dragalge, Tangela, Audino, etc.
  • Set up sweepers such as Lilligant and Feraligatr that likes Camerupt's support.
  • Vileplume works well with Camerupt as it can easily take Ground-type attacks and resists Water-type moves.
  • Needs Defog or Rapid Spin support to work at its best.

OK I need opinions about Earthquake vs Earth Power on the Stealth Rock set.

If there's any set that you think deserves to be on this, post pls.

i will finish later tonight

I think Earthquake is probably a better option for it for the very reason that you run Earthquake on stuff like Magmortar, aside from hitting other Fire-types which Earth Power does just fine, it hits specially defensive walls harder that like to switch in on fire types, like Probopass and Dragalge. If there is a KO that it misses out on by using Earthquake and not Earth Power than that could be something to look at, but overall Earthquake seems like the better option to me.

I'd definitely go with EQ

Also, would an offensive SR set be out of the question? Fire Blast / Earth Power / Solarbeam / Steath Rock is something I've used a few times and it generally gets a kill or two and rocks. Worth a mention in OO if not an entire set? it functions pretty differently than the defensive one :]

It is in OO atm, but if it gets enough support from the rest of the QC team I won't mind adding it.

Also this is ready for QC checks!

i wouldn't say this is mainly used on stall since it's main niche is countering fire- and electric-types which stall usually has covered. it is a good option on balance teams to absorb volt-switches and act as a pivot versus fire-types though.

qc 1/3

I think it's the surprise factor that really gets things with power herb solar beam, cause now whenever I see this or crustle I have solar beam in the back of my mind and it becomes pretty easy to play around. I personally think if it gets its own set then it won't be as good, mention in oo seems good to me. Will go through in the morning and give a check.

Will-o is a definite option, hits stuff like Thick Fat Hariyama and Rhydon on the switch. So take the question mark off. Add in on usage tips to hit them on the switch if using willo
Maybe add a couple more team options on the lead rock set as like FLCL said its not just used on stall, its quite decent on balance as well.
Yawn and Flame charge in other options

[QC 2/3]

Mention that Camerupt has a bad matchup vs a lot of other hazard mons, so its usually best not to lead with it. It's best to come in later and get up rocks (Usage tips for set 1)

other than that I think this is good. so 3/3
