Can you all make a thread title that isn't "New UU" please.

Whilst I'm here I might as well post the team I've been using in the re-formed UU environment. I've gone for a balanced team, leaning to bulky offense.

Staraptor (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- U-turn
- Return
- Brave Bird
- Close Combat

Starts off the team with great offense; Intimidating those Hitmontop leads and the like and U-turning for ~60% on Abomasnow. Revenge kills craploads of things like Raikou as well later on in the game and Brave Bird gives me a secondary way of breaking through CM Spiritomb if need be, doing ~50%.

Regice @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP/4 SAtk/252 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Rest
- Psych Up

Oh man, this thing used to be on every team I made in ADV :pimp: . This is great for sponging Blizzards from Hail teams as well as beating Glaceon (Fake Tears my arse) and Shaymin to a pulp thanks to Clear Body. Psych-Up means that I have a secondary response to Raikou, Spiritomb and a good switch into Slowbro.

---
Steelix (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 252 HP/58 Atk/4 Def/196 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Gyro Ball
- Curse

Steelix has been criminally underused (pun not intended) in what I've seen so far. Beats mono-attacker Spiritomb and Raikou and doesn't give two shits about Staraptor, it's not even 2HKOed by Adamant nonCB Close Combat and it gets up SR to keep those Entei, Staraptor etc in check. Curse is for beating Spiritomb more easily.

As far as EVs go, simply I've maxed HP, bulked up Special Defence to 236 which is a nice looking number and means that Modest Magneton's HP Fire has only 25% of 2HKOing. 58 Attack means that I'm guaranteed an OHKO on Raikou if it has subbed once and then has had leftovers recovery.

Shaymin @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Seed Flare
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Rest
- Earth Power

Gives me a nice switch-in to Water types as well as a welcome ground resist without having to expose Staraptor to SR. Nothing really much to say except that it does its job well, particularly in ploughing through Gastrodon and Milotic who can otherwise cause problems.

---
Hariyama (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 50 Atk/252 Def/8 Spd/200 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Sleep Talk
- Rest
- Stone Edge
- Revenge

I've always been a fan of Hariyama and I'm frankly chuffed that it's going to see some use. Hi Entei, big and strong, but you can't do jack to me. Likewise Pinsir and non Psycho Cut Absol. Also a good counter to the Regis.

EVs give 288 Attack and in defence, 429 HP 240 Def and 206 SpDef. I'm of the belief that Hariyama needs at least 200 SpDef in all environments and its worth it, not be 2HKOed by Specs Glaceon's Blizzard (pretty much worse case scenario vs it) and to beat CM Entei and Houndoom more easily.

---
Spiritomb (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Sleep Talk
- Rest
- Dark Pulse

This thing glues the team together and at the same time is my ace in the hole in terms of offense. Totally walls the likes of Gallade and Medicham and other fighters. Also it is a good switch into any status or stupid things like Clefable that just "sit there".

---

I've been pretty successful with this team but I'm very open to advice. Thanks for reading, hopefully you'll take some time to comment.

Hariyama seems like he should have a Fighting-type attack. Fighting/Dark provides perfect coverage in an environment without Heracross, and STAB makes it more powerful. Cross Chop has the same Power Accuracy, and Secondary Effect of Stone Edge, only it carries those two stated bonuses.

Also, I'm not a huge fan of two ResTalkers. I'd suggest switching Spiritomb to Calm Mind/Pain Split/Shadow Ball/HP Fighting. That or switch 'Yama to an alternate set, such as Defensive or Sub-Puncher.
