As you may be able to tell by the title of this thread, this team is about not getting hit/ using prediction to screw your opponent. After making many fail OU teams, I wanted to make a team that fully exploits Resistances/ immunity's. I haven't ever laddered because I don't have that much time, but I have used this team in a number of OU battles and won most of them. Now for the team
EDIT: SORRY FOR NOT HAVING PICTURES!

Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP/248 Def/12 Spd
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Waterfall
- Roar
---
Wait what? When people see Gyarados in the lead position, they think I will try to set up DD's and sweep. This usually gives me the element of surprise.

Why would I use this pokemon as a lead?
With this set I can phase, and plan out what kind of team the enemy has in my head, and know what threats/ weaknesses their team has to mine. This set also gives me a bulky lead pokemon with a type of recovery. Gyarados can also come back late game to phase/ become and unstoppable wall. Now this pokemon doesn't really fit the theme of not getting hit by something, but it does help another pokemon, Elective! With Gyarados, I can lure in the all mighty electric attacks then switch to electivire, and get the wonderful speed boost, and really ends up helping this team.

Why the moveset?
Roar: Roar lets me phase around the team, and hopefully know their 1/3 of their team while they set up/ mindlessly attack me. Roar also help late game after SR is up racking up damage

Waterfall: A great stab move that will do plenty of damage to anything that doesn't resist it.

Rest: This, combined with sleep talk gives Gyarados a very long life, and makes him very hard to take down by anything that's not electric. ]

Sleep Talk: Can't really have a Restalk Gyarados when you can't talk. Pretty obvious here.

Against Top Leads:

Azelf:
Waterfall, till it's dead or switched out.

Aerodactyl: Waterfall, most will taunt first expecting the DD. Then I will kill it with waterfall while they SR

Swampert:
Roar, nothing I can really do to it.

Metagross:
Never faced one with this lead, I'll probably Waterfall, and if it 2hko's go for the 2hko. If it doesn't roar it away.

Jirachi:
Roar, and hope I don't get flinched to death.

Infernape:
Waterfall, they'll usually switch out or rely on their sash and get up SR.

Machamp:
Roar.

Quagsire (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP/4 Atk/252 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Recover
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch
- Stone Edge/ Toxic/ Encore
---
Quagsire in OU? How silly of me. Quagsire is just a beast. He can come in on their two of his resistances, then wall almost all of OU. With this set he can take on the almighty dragons, heatran, lucario, and more top OU heavy hitters.

Why use this pokemon?
When looking through the ability's that grant immunity (motor drive, water absorb, ect.) i obviously wanted a water absorb Pokemon to take water attacks aimed at heatran, plus it goes with the theme. Then I was deciding between Vaporean, and Quagsire. Quagsire seemed like the better choice, providing a Electric Immunity, a water immunity, and only one weakness. With this set he can also offensively take on frail power hitters, and recover off any damage. Now I'm using stone edge, but it's proving to be very Un-Usefull, should I switch for toxic, encore, or something else?

Why this moveset?
Recover: Any great wall needs some form of recovery to keep its life long, and this is the source of recovery for my strange mud skipper friend. With recover he can take on many offensive threats, hit them with his attacks and slowly whittle their health down, while surviving their bombards of heavy attacks using recover.

Earthquake: A 100 base power STAB move is always great to have on any pokemon. With Earthquake I can switch into Tyranitar and threaten to KO it while It can do nothing back. Earthquake also helps with the likes of lucario, and heatran.

Ice Punch: OU is littered with dragons of all shapes and sizes, and all if them are 4x weak to ice, with the exception of kingdra. Ice punch lets me put all these dragons is their own frozen coffins. It also helps with the occasional grass/ flying/ or ground pokemon that comes in hoping to wall the wall.

Stone Edge: Probably the most useless move on this set, Ice punch does almost everything SE can, and it has 100% accuracy. I'll probably switch this for toxic, so that I can wear things down easier.

Electivire (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Motor Drive
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Meditate
- Thunderpunch
- Ice Punch
- Earthquake
---
MVP of this team right here. I've heard of some about how Electivire sucks, and the only reason he's OU is because noobs use him. This will shut their mouths.

Why use this pokemon?
When looking at immunity's, I remembered Electivires awesome ability motor drive. When used correctly this set is unstoppable. I'll switch in on the electric attack aimed at Gyarados, raising my speed to 433 which will outspeed A LOT of pokemon. With this switch in, my opponent will usually switch out allowing me to meditate. Factoring in life orb after one meditate I have a outrageous 739 attack. Usually this guy will go 6-0 if he get the two boosts, unless my opponent has already rage-quit. This set is just plain amazing, and is one of the best, if not the best physical sweeper in OU with a little bit of (easy) prediction.

Why use this moveset?
Meditate: While not the 2+ boost that swords dance gives you, or the 1+ Speed, and attack DD gives you after one meditate Elective can 1HKO most of OU, which is awesome for sweeping power.

Thunder punch: Pretty standard STAB move that will be on any physical Electivire. It's also handy for taking out anything that he doesn't hit super effectively.

Ice Punch: Ice punch hits tons of pokes for super effective, giving electivire to do even more damage. This also gives Electivire at least neutral damage on every type.

Earthquake: 100 BP move, with 100% accuracy YES PLEASE. Earthquake rounds of the coverage hitting things like Tyranitar, heatran, and lucario for Super effective damage.

Porygon2 @ Leftovers
Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 HP/216 Def/40 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Thunder Wave
- Ice Beam
- Recover
---
This guy is kind of a loner. He was thrown on to the team after shedinja got the boot (I'll explain this later). The main idea of this guy is to come in on a pokemon that's ability can turn against them like this; Switch from a Scizor to porygon2, while heatrans out. Then when you get hit by the fireblast, it doesen't hurt you,and you can Thunder wave any sweepers that may cause you problems.

Why this pokemon?
Porygon2 adds a more defensive tank to the team, and gives necessary paralysis support. He can also serve as a check to many More offensive threats that Quagsire can't handle alone. On top of all this, porygon2's ability can help it become "untouchable" with a little bit of prediction.

Why this moveset?
Thunder Wave: This provides paralysis support, which is greatly appreciated by Quagsire, and Gyarados who can use recovery moves more effectively when they are moving first.

Thunderbolt: Combined with ice beam created the Classic "Boltbeam" combo, and helps porygon2 face water types.

Ice Beam: The other half of "boltbeam". It helps porygon2 take down more threats.

Recover: Combined with stellar defenses, leftovers, and recover, porygon2 is very hard to take down. Recover improves porygon2s lifespan.

I will switch this guy out if you think theirs a better pokemon that would fulfill the role/ fit the theme better, SUGGEST IT! :)

Heatran (M) @ Shuca Berry
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Stealth Rock
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Taunt
---
Yes, I'm using the lead heatran set in the middle of my team. He keeps with the theme providing a fire immunity, and poison immunity, and can get up the ever so crucial Stealth rocks, letting Gyarados rack up the damage with ROAR. He also provides an offensive special attacker.

Why this pokemon?
Heatran fits the role he's supposed to play perfectly, getting up stealth rocks and hitting hard from the special side. He also fits in with the team providing two immunities. Lastly, he can screw over set up pokemon, and stall teams/ pokemon with taunt.

Why this moveset?
Stealth Rock: Having a pokemon come in and already have damage done to it its pretty awesome. It can also be the difference between a 1hko and a 2hko. It also means that Gyarados can phase, and rack up damage at the same time!

Fire blast: A powerful stab move

Earth power: I'm thinking about replacing with something since I've got tons of ground moves, but I'm not sure what.

Taunt: With taunt on Heatran, stall teams will be crushed/ ruined and have nothing to do but be demolished by this team amazing skills.

Gengar (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Pain Split
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
---
I really underestimated Gengar from the start, thinking that it wouldn't have enough of a damage output. He does, shadow ball will do tons to anything that doesn't resist it. This guy is pure awesomeness when it comes to pwning the enemy team.

Why use this pokemon?
He fits the team PERFECTLY. He was three immunity's and he's another one of those special attackers (which I'm lacking). Once he's been beaten to almost death, and a new foe comes in showing off his shiny 100% health, I can steal it with pain split, healing myself in the process. Evil little thing

Why this moveset?
Substitute: With sub+pain split I can stall pokes out that Gengar would normally be ko'ed by.

Pain Split: Gengar can steal the life from other pokes, and heal itself making it very hard to kill.

Shadow Ball: Plain old STAB attack, nothing special here.

Focus Blast: This is for the Tyrantiar, and Blissey switch in's mostly. And for anything shadow ball doesn't hit.

I hope you enjoyed reading this LONG RMT, please comment, rate, steal, and help me make the team better (without screwing up the theme to much)

Oh, and the reason I don't use shedinja anymore is because I don't have a rapid spinner, and gyarados usually lets the opponent get SR up, so all shedinja becomes is dead weight.

You should run fire punch on Electivire to hit Scizor for Super Effective damage, probably over EQ, but if you like it keep EQ, but you should replace it with Fire Punch

Yes, In miss fire punch at times but I don't want to replace earthquake just to have a check to scizor

Would it be better to replace porygon2 with a baton passing scizor (lure in the fires) then BP boosts to a heatran, who hopefully gets a power boost form flash fire?

looks like a good team, but why quagsire over swampert? Pert runs virtually the same moveset, except with superior stats (yes, I know he doesn't have water absorb, but still).

Your Gyarados lead is completely useless, roar comes after stealth rock, and if they succeed with SR, their lead's goal would have been complete. If your looking for a proper anti-lead, try this guy.

Machamp @ Lum Berry
Ability: No Guard
252 HP / 160 Atk / 96 SpD
Adamant
- Substitute
- Dynamic Punch
- Stone Edge
- Encore
/ Payback

Like the other guy said, Swampert outclasses Quagsire in every way.
Try a mixpert or a cursepert.

Swampert
@ Leftovers
252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed
~ Stealth Rock
~ Earthquake
~ Ice Beam
~ Protect / Surf

or

Swampert @ Leftovers
252 HP / 40 Def / 216 SpD
Careful
~ Curse
~ Earthquake
~ Avalanche / Ice Punch
~ Waterfall

You might be surprised at what quagsire has to offer, not many things can KO him without a grass move. He also has water absorb, and that furthers his tankish abilities, plus he has instant recovery. Yes, gyrarados with roar in the lead spot is really.... ineffective, but I ALWAYS use him later game, and hopefully when I roar it'll put out an electric, then i switch to electivire and setup
