Whenever the ocean currents get warmer, female Volkraken lay their eggs, which will hatch into these unstable, hot-headed offspring. They wouldn't be as analytic and collected as their parents, but rather much more violent because of lack of auto-cooling abilities (the heat's just getting to their heads).
