Joubao

"Bijou" + "Baobab"

Pronouced: "joo-bay-oh"

My main inspiration was making something similar in tone and pronounciation to "Jumbao" while instead reflecting on the small nature of this baobab, to contrast Jumbao referencing how big the evolution is. Bijou means small and Baobab is well, Baobab

Pixibao

A combination of Pixie (reference to its size compared to Jumbao and Fairy-type) and Baobab/Jumbao.

Pronounced: “pixie-bay-OH”

A combination of the Malagasy words "Hazo" (Tree) and "Zaza" (Child).

Pronounced: Ha-Za-Za
IPA: hæzæzæ

A combination of "Gum" + "Baobab", in relation to the sap attacks of the evolved form.

From "mumbo-jumbo" + "baobab".

Pronounced: "MUM-bay-oh"
IPA: mʌmbeɪoʊ

Like "Foongus Amoonguss" or "Abra Kadabra" (thanks for the latter, faithviolet!), "Mumbao Jumbao" makes for a punny name sequence. "Mumbo-jumbo" thematically fits the 'mon, too, as it derives from an African word meaning "a masked male dancer who takes part in religious ceremonies" (according to Wikipedia), which fits our masked, dancing, shimenawa-adorned sumo.

Hopping is what ta bunny does, and hop mixed with "bao" to get Baohop.

Pronounced: "Bay-oh-Hop"

A combination of 'Baobab' and 'Bunny', with stylistic writing.

Pronounced: "bay-oh-BUH-nee"
