Scribbling a few more concepts I feel are Electric-ey, Normal-ey and wall-ey enough.
Noisemaker wind-up keyboard gorilla.
The return of Grampappet's puppet with static scientist hair, plus and minus button eyes, and leaking cotton a la Raijin.
Computer parts armadillo with keyboard shell. Typeless? Normal-type? He's every type there is!

The last time I did anything CAP was submitting art for Plasmanta, so I'm excited to be back!

As noted on the image, I took inspiration from the Kinkajou, as I needed an animal with a long tail and it happened to be yellow! I was browsing the ability discussion and saw a bit of discussion about Levitate, so I left the design open-ended just to make it easier on my end once the ability's decided. Right now, I'm still trying to figure out if I'm satisfied with the overall body shape, and what I want to add to increase the strength of the underlying idea.

Here's a color sketch of an Electric Rescue Hound design I'm considering:

Electric-Hound-1-Color-Sketch.jpg

In this day and age of power outage emergencies, this electrified canine comes to the rescue!

It generates electricity in its core and stores it in the bioelectric battery under its neck. It can discharge power a variety of ways, including through two prehensile cords that it can use as organic jumper cables amongst other things.

Not sure how far I'll go with this or how well the design will hold up when ability is decided. But I like the general direction this design is going so far.

Inspiration:
Galloway Cows
Static Hair
Copper Coils
Copper wire
Ohm Symbol electric resistance

Cows are a prime option for this typing, being one of the most abundant “normalized” mammals around.
The iconic copper color hair of Galloways fits perfectly with the idea of copper wire hair, that is constantly charged with static electricity. The rubbery horns and hooves isolate the furry body. The oversized horns are shaped like the Ohm Symbol, which is the symbol for electric resistance, which again perfectly fits with a stubborn animal, that doesn’t want to move and embodies the idea of resisting any attack. I tried to design this in a way, that fits several of the commonly named abilities we have talked about so far.

Hey all! I was giving some feedback to another artist, and I ended up brainstorming a design along the way. I don't have any strict plans to participate, but I still figured the drawing was worth sharing.

Also: Since last CAP, I've updated my extended Guide to CAP Art Submissions with new content! Check it out if you want the latest on CAP submission tips.

I looked at the Electric primary typing and added inspiration from the sound-based moves of the secondary Normal type. The result is a Vaporwave-themed Jackrabbit with a microphone body and retractable tail. (Vaporwave has lots of complex aesthetics, so I'm still deciding what details to add. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!)

We're gonna rock around the clock today, or more specifically a grandfather clock! Initially I wanted the clock to have the face, but after much trial and error I figured out that the pendulum would be the "real" Pokemon controlling the rest of the body. It would constantly sway back and forth, generating electrical energy. It would attack using the antenna looking thing on the top. I really like this for a first sketch, hopefully I can do more with this as we go on! (praying for a fitting ability >.>)

Tick...tock...bois? :S

also it'll likely be either this or man o' war going forward unless ability completely screws me so prayge

I don't have any plans on joining since my art style is very separate from pokémons (and I don't really like copying art styles outside work lol), but once the ability is picked I'd love to give feedback on designs.

I do want to add some extra info for electromorphosis: while cap works with the english translations to make designs with puns, the japanese name (でんきにかえる) is a pun on the verb change and the word frog sounding the same (kaeru). I don't think this means frog designs are the only way forward (the ability name works by itself without being a frog pun, unlike other more specific wordings), but that it's a fun justification for another spin on an electric frog without stepping on bellibolts toes (we do have 3 water frog lines after all)
