Flying
Beak blast implies that this pokemon is a bird or has some beak-like appendage. Gamefreak traditionally strays from pure flying for pokemon, and made an exception for tornadus due to it's 'wind incarnate' design. Rookidee and corvisquire recently subverted this pattern, so it's not completely flying in the face of gamefreak design philosophy, but it leaves a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. Additionally, pure flying encourages beak blast far too much. With a dual type, mind-games actually exist between beak blast to predict a burn and the potentially stronger other stab move. With pure flying, it's hard to imagine this pokemon doing anything other than clicking beak blast over and over again. My initial reaction to dark was distrustful, but it has a lot of interesting bait interactions against u-turn, will always run beak blast due to it's meaningful coverage, and will always have that mind-game interaction mentioned above between the weaker beak blast and the stronger stab dark move.
