Not to worry, wasn't angered by your statement. I was more ticked off by this elimination of submitted stat spreads after the fact the poll was posted, but since Sunday is TL for this project he can do whatever he want on how people vote and etc.

@maniac-The stats you chose were balanced yet unique in comparison to the other spreads,and what i like most is,you spread can actually attack..so this imo is just great ^^

Flash_gearz's spread is almost exactly the same as the one I came up with, so that's my first vote. X-Act usually seems to know what he's talking about and it's usually kind of tl;dr but I'll vote for him anyway.
 
Eh, I guess people don't really like the low attack of my spread, but still:
VOTE FOR MY SPREAD, ITS UNIQUE!
Although, I do applaud the efforts of the others, all of them seem to have posted well-thought out spreads.

X-Act's spread is well thought out and has a better than 105 Base Speed, which is pretty awesome. Outspeeds any Ape that doesn't Max speed for any reason.

omgthatkid also had great reasoning, and put up a good spread that can survive major threats.

Indeed, this was one of the issues I adressed in my PM. I would have hoped people had followed the Base Spread Submission poll enough to avoid making "copycat" spreads. I intended to review each spread individually, but for whatever reason that didn't eventuate and that is, of course, entirely my fault. I was probably rushing a bit because I dislike this period where there is no active threads.

The main complication is that four "copycat" spreads mean 1/4 the votes for each, so despite that being the most popular combination on the whole it was entirely possible not one would make it through. For now, I've decided to keep the poll as it is. Ten minutes after the poll launched is one thing, more than an hour is obviously too much. There are only so many combinations of stats that are going to be popular on this Pokemon, and there's bound to be some similarities. I am more than happy with the spread (no pun intended) of spreads presented, as they cover a range of likes and dislikes within the slightly limited scope they were given to work within. Indeed, so much of the spread is predetermined half of it is either high Atk+Satk with low Speed, or Low Satk+Atk and high speed to make the appropriate Offence/Defence balance (same with Sdef+def and HP), and tinkering with everything to get the Special bias correct.

I like how balanced Maniac's base stats are, it won't overpower the metagame, and holds its own. IMO that is just what create a pokemon needs.

I didn't submit mine, because I felt it was influenced too much by X-Act's. I urge you guys to not vote anything with 100 HP or more. Why? I feel this would become much too threatening with an insane movepool, good defenses, great speed, and 101 HP subs to boot. Not to mention, a Very Good stat ranking. X-Act's spread gives the most efficient EV spread. You can maximize defenses simply by putting 252 EVs into HP.

I like the idea of low HP on X-Act's for the EV effectiveness, and then I like the general spread of omgthatkid's, including 120 speed to outdo the likes of Gengar.

Maniaclyrasist because I want this thing to be able to OHKO Breloom with Sludge Bomb, even with minimum Special Attack, and 90 base Special Attack is exactly what we'd need for it to do just that!

Elevator Music because I like that you don't want us to max out our HP, and I think that Kingdrom's 130 base speed is way too fast. I want this thing to be outspeeding Garchomp, not Weavile and Azelf.

i really like x acts idea of low hp compensated by high defenses, so that obviously means i like x acts. maniaclyrasist's was good and i like its physical bulkiness along with the speed. its not too high, while also being high enough to outspeed a lot if it needs to.
