Our Pokemon so far:
Elevator Music said:
Name: Neglected Ability

Description: This pokemon will have an ability [or two] that is currently undervalued (but possibly very helpful) in the metagame but isn't used because the other pokemon with this ability don't have the stats or movepool to make it work.
Type: Electric / Dragon

This is where we determine the general style of the pokemon, from an offensive and defensive standpoint. We also will set limits on the stat spreads that support that style. It should be noted that the Style Bias is not just for limiting stats, but also helps shape the general "feel" of the pokemon. The Style may influence other parts of the pokemon -- such as art, movepool, ability, etc. However, the stat spread is the only part of the project that will be specifically constrained by the voted Style Bias.

Offensive/Defensive Balance is part of the Stats Rating Formula developed by X-Act for numerically measuring a pokemon's base stats.

Information about the formula is located here.
A utility for calculating the ODB is located here.

The voted ODB range must be followed by stat spread creators when submitting final stat spreads for the Stat Spread Poll later. The Style Bias that is chosen will have an effect on the Abilities that we can choose from for our Neglected Ability. The list can be found here.

This is the second and final Style Bias Poll, and the first one has two moving on:

Somewhat Offensive: 0 to 20
Somewhat Defensive: -20 to 0

Take your pick and discuss away!

Second vote, and went for somewhat defensive.

Edit: @niznik if you want kets call it a draw, just let the record show my post comes up first.

on my first vote, i went for somewhat oddensive, but now the second option looks better. So my vote is somewhat defensive.

Somewhat offensive. Expectations will fall short for defensive hopefuls. Doesn't matter either way, most people want a balanced pokemon (closer to 0 I guess).

EDIT: Also, give this thing Dragon Dance and I could care less.

Somewhat defensive just since defensive didn't make it through this is closer to what I wanted.

Yeah, this is pretty much right. My stat spread will be essentially balanced anyway. I don't really like the suggested abilities for Somewhat Defensive but that's irrelevant.

Agreed, most spreads will be close to zero. However I like that Slightly Defensive gives me a bit more wiggle room with the defenses.

Remember, that's all they are - suggested abilities. If there are any other Abilities on the Allowed list that have good arguments going for them, they'll be available as well.

I envision this having somewhere very close to zero, but I voted somewhat offensive, mostly for the options given by it ability-wise, specifically Tintied Lens (my 2 choice). But I really thing this should be as balanced as possible.

Slightly Offencive. The dragon type has always been offensive, with attacks such as outrage and dragon dance.

I envision this thing getting around 2.

Somewhat Defensive is the way to go. Somewhat offensive in my opinion would be terrifying on a dragon in theory, and really this is just a better safe than sorry vote than anything else.

Also defensive means more viable abilities from as far as I can tell ;D

At around 100 attack with Tinted Lens, you can 2hko Bronzong with Outrage (or something to that effect). Since the two choices remaining require the offenses to be close to the defenses, you'd have to nerf both to keep it from being broken.

Altaria, Giratina, and Latias beg to differ.

I would prefer a very slightly defensive dragon, since the CAP has yet to attempt to make a Defensive pokemon

Actually with Tinted Lens, you could slap either a Draco Plate or Life Orb, 110 base attack and 2hko standard Bronzong (252 HP / 80 Def sassy).

I would prefer a very slightly defensive dragon, since the CAP has yet to attempt to make a Defensive pokemon
What about Pyroak and Fidgit? Both are more defensive than offensive.

Wouldn't mind equal stats at all, frankly. But if we need to slightly skew the style of this Pokemon one way, I'd prefer it in the Defensive direction. Maybe it's just me... but I think I'd like our Elec/Dragon to have a slight defense advantage.
