Well here we are at the finals, it feels like only yesterday when me and kj were planning this tournament out. Congrats to both of you for making it this far, and may the best player win. Let's not keep you guys waiting until tommorow to start this.

Some personal thoughts:
  • As expected, Solotl, Cawdet, and Mienfoo were by far the most well represented Pokemon in the tournament, with all of them having at least 38% usage and a positive winrate.
  • Embirch oddly underperformed quite a bit this tournament with a 26% win rate, which I find pretty weird since most people I talked to found it to be a pretty big threat.
  • Floatoy was easily the biggest dark horse of this tournament. Despite not even being ranked this tournament before it started, it managed to rank 19th in usage and had one of the best winrates of the entire tournament at 75%. This definitely goes to show how much of a threat rain was here.
  • Shellos also had a surprising amount of success this tournament, with both forms having a combined 5% usage and 83.37% win rate. This success seems to mostly just come from the fact that it is one of the few true answers that Cawdet has in the tier.
  • Brattler has a 100% winrate. We must be doing something wrong.
