So this is now going to be the official archive for the three-month usage stats updated every month. Currently, I have the cut-off set to 1% usage, as was requested below. The inspiration for this thread comes from me talking with a friend who's big into OU talking about how to get a handle on trends within OU using three month usage stats. This inspired me to looks to see if I could apply this knowledge to CAP, but we don't actually have documentation of our three-month usage stats. Given that we don't use our three-month usage stats to determine our metagame, it makes sense that this information isn't well kept track of, but I feel we lose out when analyzing competitive CAP from not having ready access to these stats. As such, not only am I going to keep track of the three-month usage stats for the community henceforth, but I will be going back and updating this thread with the three month usage stats from previous months so we can have access to that information for further study of the evolution of CAP. Feel free to discuss below.

This is a neat idea, and while the cap metagame does not change as quickly as the ou metagame (our small playerbase and the cap pokemon counter many ou threats), it would be beneficial if we did "get better" and advance as fast as we can. I would keep the stats for cap at wherever you put it to show an accurate representation of the top of the metagame, but I would definitely include the next tier, because not everybody has a high gxe.

On a side note, look at that gothitelle eating up the stall pokes. Those percentages are from me lol.

I personally find a 2% cut off to be fairly restricting and would like to see a cut off closer to 1%. After all, this is a meta with 18 extra threats to account for, and in both lists you provided we only get to see about 50 or so mons. Sure, these are the 50 "best" mons of the tier, and that information is always helpful. But there are certainly more than 50 Pokemon that are good in the tier :)

So I've been working with the usage stats for about a month now, as well as participating in the Dark Horse Competition and frequenting the viability thread, and I realized that we as a community don't really have a great outlet for learning what the most used OU pokemon in CAP are. The viability thread tells us how viable a Pokemon hypothetically is, but it doesn't tell us how likely we are to run into it, or anything about what counters we should expect to see frequently. The Dark Horse Competition gets at what Pokemon should or shouldn't see more play than they do, but it doesn't tell us much about what already sees frequent play. Heck, even this thread doesn't put this information in a manner where it's easy to interpret. This puts new players at an inherent disadvantage trying to enter the metagame. I hypothesize this is part of the reason a ton of beginning CAP players build all CAP teams. There are plenty of resources for what CAP Pokemon are good, so they rely only on what they know and build entirely from CAPs.

As such, I've decided that to chronicle the most used OU pokemon in CAP in addition to keeping track of usage stats. For the list, I'm going to use the Pokemon that see at least 4% or more play on at least 3 of the Volkraken Release list(3) and the Dark Horse list(1) and are still legal (Sorry Mawile). I'll update the OP with this list later, and I'll be updating the list along with the usage stats.
