Congratulations on the Plasma Tribe for winning Tribal Immunity! Though we still have some unplayed matches, it is statistically impossible for the Plasma Tribe to lose, and therefore they have secured the victory. This means that the Tomo Tribe and Mala Tribe have lost and will be going to Tribal Council.

Here is how Tribal Council will go down:

-Members from the losing tribes will PM me, HeaLnDeaL, on Smogon or on Discord and say which person from their tribe they are casting their votes for to leave the tribe. Once a vote is cast, it cannot be changed. Do not cast your votes in this thread.
-If anyone has a hidden immunity idol and they would like to play it, he/she must let me know that they are playing it and who they are playing it for (remember, it can only be played to save yourself or someone on your current tribe). This must be done at the SAME time as you cast your vote. Since votes are blind, and won't be revealed to the tribe until everyone from the tribe has cast, this means that this method essentially makes idols work in the "standard" way of the show; idols are activated after voting but before the votes are revealed. Me asking for idols to be declared during the voting process saves us a great deal of time while not impacting the strategy of the usage of idols at all.
-The above means that there are hidden immunity idols in this game, you oafs. Today in the Survivor show, the presence of idols is already assumed, so I see no reason not to announce this here and now. The circus survivor season 1 did not have idols. Here in CAP, we do. I have thought long and hard on how to make obtaining idols as fair as possible, so no crying BS about when someone gets "lucky" with an idol. If anything, I believe the way idols are handed out here are MORE fair than they are in the TV Show.
-EDIT: Clues to idols also exist. No I will not tell you how to get an idol or a clue. That is for you to figure out.
-Casting a hidden immunity idol on yourself or another player at tribal council means that you or your chosen tribemate cannot be eliminated and all votes against you or the person protected by the idol will not count. You do not have to play an idol if you have one and you may save it for later. Use it when you think you need it. Casting a single idol can only keep a single person safe, so choose who you protect carefully (most often people choose to protect themselves). Once you play the idol, you will lose it and will not be able to play another unless you find another.
-Members from the losing tribes have 24 hours to cast their votes (and play any hidden immunity idols). If someone on a tribe does not vote, then his/her vote will be for him/herself or for some other throwaway vote unless I can determine what his/her intended vote was.
-If there is a tie after the votes are read, then I will give a 24 hour extension for revotes in which the people with the highest number of votes cannot cast votes and the people casting can ONLY vote for the those with the highest number of votes in the first voting round on that Tribal Council. If the revote results in another tie, then another 24 hour extension will be given for the voters in the revote to come to a unanimous decision of who to vote out. If a decision cannot be made, then the people who had the highest number of votes against them become safe and one of the revoters will be RANDOMLY eliminated from the game. Revotes are rare, so the "standard" time for Tribal Council will be 24 hours and only rarely will it be extended.

Q: Why is there no time after a challenge ends for the losing tribe members to strategize before voting?
A: The challenges here last multiple days. I am assuming that as challenge results start pouring in that strategies are already being formed. Unlike in the show, the internet format of this game allows for players to privately talk strategy during the middle of the challenge. While some decisions of who to vote out rely on challenge performance, you still have 24 hours to talk with your tribe and decide before voting is due. Removing the 24 hour of lag time before Tribal Council in the Circus version of the game helps to make this version run at a quicker pace.

Alright kids, time for challenge #2! The tribes get their first look at each other and notice that PenQuin was eliminated from Tomo and that Granny Pie was eliminated from Mala.

I have already asked the tribes to pick 4 people each to participate in a "Timed CAP metagame trivia" challenge, and I will now tag those participating and reveal additional rules. For the Mala tribe I heard back from only half the tribe and thus had to pick Mala's 4th trivia person on my own. You may sub Okamu out with Fratty if you wish but you may only allowed to make the sub before your first player takes his/her shot at the trivia questions.

Those participating will schedule a time with me, HeaLnDeaL, to answer 10 questions privately. Each 4 participants from the same tribe will be asked 10 different questions to ensure no answers are shared while each of the 3 tribes will be asked the same 40 total questions to ensure fairness.

When answering questions players will be timed and there will be two different scenarios that will allow your tribe to win immunity. The single player who answers all questions correctly on his/her first try in the fastest time will win their tribe immunity; answering even a single question incorrectly means that a player cannot win immunity under this method. The tribe who completes the challenge with the lowest combined time will also win immunity. The catch however is in order to "complete the challenge" you must answer all questions and get no fewer than 3 of them wrong. If you get more than 3 wrong on your first attempt, you must go back and answer those questions that you got incorrect until you get them all correct; this will eat up valuable time.

The scores of each player will be revealed at the end of the challenge, NOT posted as they come in. This means everyone will be "blind" to the results until the end.

If a single tribe has the fastest total completion time AND the fastest player to get everything correct on the first time, then both other tribes lose and will go to tribal council. If no player answers all 10 questions correctly on their first attempt, then only the tribe with the fastest total competition time will gain immunity.

The tests will take place on PS via a PM with me. This way timestamps will easily allow me to figure out everyone's times.

Tomo: reachzero LucarioOfLegends Kyubics Galvantula Tank

Mala: snake_rattler jas61292 Marjane Okamu

Plasma: cbrevan DarkSlay Snorlax in the way GreenGogoatttt

Also, for convenience sake I will provide you with a number of links that will help you search for an answer if you do not know it. Essentially, this guarantees you the chance of getting 10/10 if you look for the answers... but it will take more time. It's your call whether you want to look things up, but if you don't think anyone else is going to get 10/10 on their first try, you have the option of going slow and steady while looking for answers. As such, I recommend everyone have the following links open in other tabs while taking the trivia test. It's not like I can ban you from using the internet to search for answers, so I might as well put you all on even footing by showing you where to find the answers if for whatever reason you decide you want to search. This means you can also study the below links before you take your trivia question as well.

Plasma has earned Tribal Immunity due to earning the lowest total test time.

Most of the Tomo tribe sucked it up in this challenge, with reachzero, G Tank, and LoL having the longest test time for each of their tests. However, Kyubics's performance has earned him the fastest 100% test score, meaning that he has single handedly given his entire tribe Tribal Immunity.

This means that the Mala tribe has lost and will be facing tribal council.

Here is how Tribal Council will go down:

-Members from the losing tribe will PM me, HeaLnDeaL, on Smogon or on Discord and say which person from their tribe they are casting their votes for to leave the tribe. Once a vote is cast, it cannot be changed. Do not cast your votes in this thread.

The Third Tribal Challenge is now under way! All three tribes climb the mountain on the island and arrive at the challenge arena. The Tomo Tribe gets their first look at the new Mala and Plasma Tribes. Sundar from Plasma voluntarily chose to leave the game to focus on irl issues. Frat Dude from the Mala Tribe was voted out at the latest Tribal Council.

2MrySP3.png
T9neWbV.png
hdVlBIh.png

But wait, there's more... a fourth "tribe" of people have arrived at the challenge arena, decked in red buffs.

First, there is sparktrain, eliminated day 1 due to missing the cut off in the sign up thread. Next, there is Granny Pie and PenQuin, voted out at the first Tribal Council. Finally, there is Frat Dude voted out at the second Tribal Council. Sundar is not present since he chose to leave the game.

What are these returning players doing here? That's a good question. This season of survivor, we are holding a variation of Redemption Island called "Boober Island." One player from Boober Island will fight his/her way back into the game once the tribes merge. But it won't be easy. He/she will have to survive challenges every challenge cycle in order to participate in the final Boober Challenge before the tribe merge. The winner of the final Boober Challenge will be able to relight their torch using the fire of the island's Magmar. The players who lose the challenges along the way will be forced to leave Boober Island, and at that point they will have no chance to get back into the game or to join the jury. After every Tribal Council, the eliminated player or players will be sent to Boober Island and will compete among the other players on Boober Island. Once on Boober Island, players are fighting against those who they share the island with. Players on Boober Island have the goal of reaching the final Boober Challenge and winning it to reclaim their spot in the game.

After every challenge until the merge, a player or players will leave their tribe and be voted off and sent to Boober Island. After every challenge, a player or player who was on Boober Island will automatically leave Boober Island and be completely eliminated from the game based on his/her challenge performance without a need for a vote. Those on Boober Island do not form a real tribe, and therefore alliances are not all that important. Players will be eliminated from Boober Island based on their challenge performance and nothing else until the final Boober Challenge. The only way to guarantee a player can get off Boober Island is to consistently do well in challenges and to win the final Boober Challenge.

For those of you still on tribes, this poses an additional layer of strategy for you; every person you vote out has the chance to come back into the game. If you vote out a tribemate and he/she comes back, he/she could easily flip on your tribe at the merge and choose to work with people from other tribes who were not involved with voting them out. Be careful and be deliberate with your strategy, as the game just got a lot harder.

With that said, it is time to introduce today's challenge. Each tribe will select three members to compete in three separate round robin tournaments; players put into slot one will fight members from the other tribes who also chose slot one and so on. However, each matchup will be Bo3... in Sumo CAP 3v3. This means players are allowed to have only 3 Pokemon on any of their teams for this challenge. Tapu Lele and Mega Metagross are banned from this challenge. Below are the match ups:

Slot 1: T TraceofLife v M Okamu | T TraceofLife v P Broken Phobias | M Okamu v P Broken Phobias
Slot 2: T reachzero v M snake_rattler | T reachzero v P cbrevan | M snake_rattler v P cbrevan
Slot 3: T Kyubics v M jas61292 | T Kyubics v P DarkSlay | M jas61292 v P DarkSlay

Tomo: 3 (out of 4 matches played)
Mala: 3 (out of 4 matches played)
Plasma: 1 (out of 6 matches played)

Points will be given out to the victor of each Bo3. The tribe with the most points will win Tribal Immunity. If there is a close second place, then the second place tribe will also win Tribal Immunity. If not, then both losing tribes will face tribal council. The Tomo Tribe was slow with line ups, but Trace was required to play and Kyubics volunteered and then I randomly picked reach to play. If either Lucario or Galvantula Tank wants to be subbed in, the Tomo Tribe should let me know ASAP.

The four players on Boober Island will also play Bo3 SuMo CAP 3v3 with Tapu Lele and Mega Metagross banned. However, they will not play a round robin format. sparktrain will face off against Frat Dude. PenQuin will face off against Granny Pie. The winner of each matchup will be safe and live to stay on Boober Island until the next challenge. The two losers will face off in a Bo3 6v6 SuMo CAP match with Tapu LeLe banned (here, Mega Metagorss will not be banned). The loser of this match will then be eliminated from Boober Island and from the game.

A reminder, all replays must be posted in this thread, preferably by the winner of the matches.

So, who will win tribal immunity? Who will live to stay on Boober Island? Let's get crackin' and find out. You guys have 48ish hours to finish your matches and extensions will only be given if absolutely necessary. No slowpokes allowed here, schedule things ASAP. Yeah, we're moving fast, and I somewhat anticipate needing that extension but we'll cross that line when we get there. If there's scheduling issues then one of your benched tribemates may come in to make scheduling work better.

Q: Is Focus Sashed Banned in CAP 3v3?
A: No
