Tournament CAPCL IV - Finals (WON BY THE KOOKOO QUESOS)

so i signed up for pet CAPCL IV to LARP as someone who has never touched the tier before, because i was told it'll be fun. Gekokeso drops 3k on my ass and expects a prep demon who plays test games and stomps the pool. K. Sure. I played 0 testgames, I brought in helpers into the server to larp. My first week I prepped the team in the team discord, it was a spikestack build with hazard control, pursuit trapping and wisp spreading. Perfectly reasonable ways of making progress in CAP. Like, baby's first advance game type shit. I'm posting this in the cord and explaining all the techs, and he responds and goes "how does this make progress? you're so passive!"
so after that i know my manager is going to be zero help as far as the tier is concerned, but thats fine i'll still prep in a diff cord and play no tests.
my opp for week 1 messages me asking to deadgame after week is over bc he feels depressed about playing. sure. cool. fine.
Gekokeso has a fat cry about this? like yeah sure it might matter marginally but as far as the tour goes this is very inconsequential.
used week 1 team week 2, won gg. clean.
prepped week 3 in a diff cord, posted test games in team cord. won gg, clean.
week 4 had prepped in a diff cord and msged opp on tuesday. opp responded on friday. their managers msged geko friday night to get me to respond. he says "rivers an act risk, must sub out" and silently fumes at me for rest of tour.
Congrats, you subbed your 3k undefeated player just to miss out on playoffs by choking the slot. If you were less horrendously incompetent and butthurt that you were useless as far as supporting the slot goes, then the team would be in playoffs right now, and honestly they deserve it. Was I the most active member on the team? No, cause I was mid-playing a fucking invitational tournament and having a deep run. Sorry for prioritising and still not losing on act ever, bringing a solid team every week and winning ALL OF THE GAMES. there is ZERO way you get to lose this tour and scapegoat me as a problem.

Kookoo Quesos (3) vs (5) Crocanaw Dundee
SV CAP: Quinn vs haxlolo Quinn has been a very pleasant surprise, im confident in them
SV CAP: Galarian Blades vs Baddy Both have a very good record but i'm more impressed by Baddy
SV CAP: Kate vs Scizivire Hmm not sure, putting some faith into Kate
SS CAP: D2TheW vs dex Very nice, after accidently stumbling into the finals D2 will find it in his heart to have an excellent match vs dex. Maybe. This one could really go either way, dex has the favorite gen advantage too.
SM CAP: Lasen vs Clementine Exciting match, last time Clem got it, I think they will do it again
ORAS CAP: aurora vs Steam Buns Buns probably going to show up with something wild, its a matter of if he can tame the wilderness or if he will get lost in the jungle. I'm thinking the former.
DPP CAP: Ainzcrad vs Lialiabeast Lialia has the edge I think, especially in the builder. However there's no reason Ainz couldn't pull through if he goes all out.
ND CAP: Elvira vs EatFoods EatFoods will eat foods
Quesos motivation and strength seems to have spiked up since the early weeks, which is what led them all the way here. I think that will give them a much better chance than during the previous matchup vs the Dundees, but it will still not be easy.
SV CAP: Quinn vs haxlolo- quinn did epic in semis, think haxlolo cooled off after early season a bit
SV CAP: Galarian Blades vs Baddy- both had awesome seasons, have to admit i'm pulling for the homegrown necturna super staller
SV CAP: Kate vs Scizivire- when consulted ab gaming kate is frying, think sciz has to be really on point in the builder for this
SS CAP: D2TheW vs dex- unbenched d2 playing ss again is cool, this is one of my highlight matchups for the week. I think dex being way more up to date helps a lot here
SM CAP: Lasen vs Clementine- best matchup of the whole tour I love both I'm rooting for both I think clem will pull up with matchup
ORAS CAP: aurora vs Steam Buns- aurora's done an admirable job saving this slot from ORAS D2, however I think buns is too solid
DPP CAP: Ainzcrad vs Lialiabeast- despite the late season stepping up I think Lia is too well set up for this
ND CAP: Elvira vs EatFoods- both have been solid, elvira's saved this slot for the quesos it feels like. think foods clears still though by a little
Turned out to be a very cool finals. SM will go ungodly hard,
