This tour takes me up to 9 cap team tours without a trophy and usually I'd be pretty miffed about that but honestly I'm pretty happy with how this tour went. We fucked it in finals which is disappointing but we had a really good season until then and more importantly, a really fun and productive team. My main goal when I manage is to make a team where everyone can have a good time and I think me and spoo managed that this time so I'm happy.

Shoutouts:
spoo - my long suffering co-manager. Thanks for putting up managing with me again, it's always a riot and every year we get one step closer. Next year man. Next year. Real talk tho you put in insane effort every week (in the brief moments between you being in bed and being in the coffee shop) and we wouldn't have made it to finals without you. You're the goat.

JJ09LIE - one of the first names on our draft plan, 8-1 record is insane and fully deserved. The way you play is insanely clean and having such an insanely reliable SV slot was a blessing. 10/10 player, insane bargain given your price

Taka - if energy drinks were a mons player. You gave me a fuckton of heart attacks but you put up a good record early on that went a long way to getting us into poffs and its always a riot teaming with you, gl with OLT.

entrocefalo - swsh cap goat, just like JJ it's a pleasure to watch you play. I was confident you'd turn around a bad start and you did that and then some. Even tho the teams we passed you weren't always up to standard you put up a great record in a tough pool, was fantastic to team with you again.

seth - speaking of turning around bad starts, holyyyy. Ranked last in the PRs and still went brazy in a tier you hadn't played before, true goat shit. You and your husband sealoo were a lot of fun to team with (even if you fuckers make me feel like an 80 year old man) and the two of you put up a banger combined record in a tier me and spoo know nothing about which was a godsend. Thanks to hemogoblins alumnus QWILY for all the help in this slot too.

Foolycl - didn't get to talk to you much because oras is not my expertise but you were active and put up a solid record and therefore you are goated.

Lostmemories - pretty unlucky to end with the record you did, I know you're a good player and with better fortune you'd probably have put up a good record

Brigtel - My man, if I gave you as many compliments as you deserved I'd never get to draft you again for anything lower than 40k. The amount of work you put into dpp was a godsend and I take full responsibility for you not having enough support in bw. You were a key part of our draft plan and you were worth every cent.

Sheik : - the dpp goat, undefeated reg season in dpp is madness. I've never had a positive dpp slot in cap before so this was more than a welcome change of pace.

Gekokeso - not your tour on the playing front which is sad, but dw about it mate it happens to everyone at some point. Your support was more enough to justify your price and it was a pleasure to have VikingJump.Gif in the cord.

i didn’t do shoutouts last CAPPL so i feel somewhat obligated to now, especially for the people that have been with me two years now. they’re long because i can’t stop myself from talking, sorry! every year we get closer to the trophy and every year i have a little more fun getting there. i’m still not really sure what happened in finals tho. going out 1-5 when our only win was lucky is really depressing and a bit embarrasing. i don’t think we slacked off, or made any glaringly awful team choices, we just got outprepped and outplayed. it’s sad, but i’m not sure what else there is to say about it. thanks to everyone who was rooting for us in finals. just know we’ll be back to win next year. anyways, i don’t want to linger on the loss for too long. this was an incredibly fun team, and i can safely say that i’ve got no regrets about managing this year.

you were our first pickup, which is funny, because d2 and i thought you’d be too expensive pre-draft and basically ruled you out. but we threw some money out there, not really expecting anything to come of it, and ended up getting you for a great price - maybe because you didn’t sign up to play SV? i’m very glad we got to have you on the team again, and i’m also glad we kept you in after the 0-2 start. you put up a solid performance in a stacked pool, and i really appreciate that you were active with testing different teams/ideas and tweaking things to your preferences. dont stress too hard about the finals game, you had a strong tour and it’s always a pleasure to have you on the team.

i don’t even know where to start with you man LOL. you’ve had a good mons year, being picked up for SPL and playing a million other different tours, so we expected you to cost like 5k more than you did. i’m pretty sure d2 and i were popping off in call when you went for 11.5k lmao. helping you prep was lowkey infuriating at times cus youd just drop the worst voodoom set of all time on a team that loses to 4 of the top 5 mons and say “prep done”, but somehow, it was always 10x more fun than it was frustrating. you’re genuinely hilarious and were a big reason why the vibe in our team chat was so enjoyable. thanks for being insanely active and winning a lot during the regular season, you were easily worth the 5 years of my lifespan i probably lost from watching your games.

as far as i’m concerned, you were the best player in the whole tour. me and d2 made it our mission to buy the best SV player in case we ever had to go to tiebreak, so it was pretty crazy to get you for less than 20k. it’s a manager’s dream to have someone who you just know will win as long as they load a good team, but as the main person passing you teams every week, it was kinda scary at the same time bc i knew it’d be my fault if you ever lost LMAO. thankfully you went 8-1 though, so that was rarely a problem. you’re gonna have like 3 trophies minimum by the time you retire playing mons, but i hope you keep signing up for CAP tours so i can buy you every time. hopefully you won’t have to fix any doors in the middle of your games next year…

i think you already know this, but other than jj, you were the name on our draft plan from day 1. we wanted a reliable BWer who could build for DPP and that’s exactly what you gave us. it’s a shame about your playoffs record, but i don’t think that’s entirely your fault, either. we didn’t draft you with much (any) support, and d2’s busy ass real life unfortunately took priority over helping you prep each week. with that said - you saved our asses unbelievably hard in DPP, and were an incredibly pleasant person to team with. i also appreciated your reflections every week going over the BW and DPP games - not many people have the discipline to sit down and analyze replays like that, and seeing my players try to learn from their mistakes is great as a manager. no regrets about buying you this tour, you’re awesome man.

one of my favorite pickups, the 1-3 record aside. i love getting to know new people during these teamtours and you were always so fun to interact with. i really like the way you approach teambuilding, and i also liked that you were actually interested in figuring out the tier and building things yourself. i’m going to believe that your w7 game was an anomaly and that you’re actually a much better player lmao. i’m also sorry that your first tour game in CAP you got counterswept by a mirror herb cresceidon LOL that shit was genuinely insane bro. hope we get the chance to run it back next year so i can see you in action again.

ngl i knew you were good when i was scouting players pre-draft but i did not expect you to pop off that hard LMAO undefeated regular season having never played this tier before is actually crazy work. it’s unfortunate that you went 0-2 in playoffs but i’m not sure if we would’ve been there in the first place without you. i was so glad when you said the tier was fun af during w1, bc it’s pretty different from dpp ou and i didn’t know whether you’d enjoy the changes or not. i wish i had more experience in dpp, but even with the little knowledge i have, it was always a ton of fun watching you play. you seem like a great guy and it was a total pleasure having you in the cord, so thanks for bringing good energy and an insane record.

we really weren’t expecting to get you for only 10k after your capcl performance, but i’m so glad it worked out. idk why but fsr you always had to play against the most random stuff… scovillain sun, snaelstorm rain, snaelstrom webs, you def would’ve faced some bs in finals too LOL but it made for some pretty entertaining games, and you clutched up in semis when it mattered. timezones made it hard to prep together sometimes, but you had a jump in activity during playoffs that i think made a big difference. still can’t believe you didn’t know that venom’s epilogue form existed after 8 weeks in ur SECOND cap teamtour… it was funny af tho so i’m not complaining. i’d be happy to have you on any team i manage in the future - i have a high opinion of you as a player and i really enjoyed talking to you whenever our separate schedules allowed.

Good morning, Goatokeso. viking jumping gif supersub teamchat testlord wtf… i wont lie, your games weren’t the cleanest, but you still earned your place on this team and then some. you were constantly around for test games in early weeks which i think was pretty crucial for getting everyone motivated right off the bat, especially since my schedule was so busy at the beginning. your attitude and motivation are pretty infectious. things slowed down a bit for you when PMPL began, but i know firsthand how much work managing a tour is, so truly don’t worry about it. sorry that your star 20k player was a buffoon but ull clean that tour next year dw.

you’re funny as hell man. seriously. i think this tour might’ve gone differently for you if i was around to help prep more during your weeks, which is a shame. the first 2-3 weeks were the busiest irl for me, so it felt a bit unfair to sub you out so early, but yea it is what it is. you had a massive activity boost in playoffs that didn’t go unnoticed by me and d2 - thank you for trying to help basically every slot at some point, and also for being hilarious and bringing great energy to the teamcord. i was a little frustrated with you in finals when the team was down three or four games and you started acting like we had already lost, but i could tell that you just genuinely wanted to win and were upset. you seemed to be really enjoying yourself for the rest of the tour, which is the best thing i could wish for as a manager. thanks for being a great teammate.

how can i make this shoutout about hawk tuah… i felt psychotic watching you and sealoo interact sometimes but you’re seriously funny as fuck and put in way more work than i couldve expect of a washed noname from natdex who went for a measly 3k. you’re actually the 3k player with the most wins this tour, which is very cool. neither d2 or i know much about SM so it was kind of a godsend having you and sealoo reliably take care of that slot every week. funny to think that u were this close to losing to adem and being permabenched at 0-3. thank god we dodged that future LOL. you were undoubtedly a huge contributor to the teamcord’s culture (for better or for worse..…?) and i’m truly glad that my obligatory random natdex pickup of the tour paid off so well.

my midwest dawg. at this point in the draft we were looking for oras backup in case lm ever had to sub out, and i recognized your name from the midwest server and knew you werent annoying so i figured why not go for it. i didn’t realize this was your first teamtour though, nor did i realize that you were like the chillest dude on the site. you’re a super easy person to talk to and i enjoyed dming and chatting all throughout the tour. i think we’ve got a lot in common so it was fun gradually getting to know you and i hope we stay in touch. 3-1 in a random tier is pretty good for your first teamtour, and even though you click like you’re on stimulants half the time, it made for some damn fun games to watch LOL and you definitely deserve more shots at tours like these in the future. super super glad we took a bet on you and it paid off.

alright strap in rq and picture this. it’s the end of a draft, you’ve been in a parked car for 2.5 hours bc you’re meeting someone for a date right after the draft ends. it’s hot as shit bc it’s the middle of texas summer and the AC is basically useless since the car is stationary. you’re on a personal hotspot, your computer is literally on 1% and lagging and overheating like fucking crazy, so you have to disconnect from the discord call with your comanager. also the car has been running on empty and you arent sure if it has enough gas left to get to a gas station but you cant turn it off or the heat will get even worse. it’s your last nom pick, you’re drenched in sweat, and all you can think about is how you just want to be done. now some random natdex dude who you just bought dms you on PS saying “buy sealoo” so you say fuck it and drop 3k right before your computer dies, and somehow it works out to be the best decision that you could’ve made in the moment LOL. i remembered that i liked you from natdex wcop, but honestly didn’t expect you to be as insanely helpful or as fun as you were. maybe it’s because you’ve also managed a few tours, but i feel like you know exactly what to do to cultivate a good team atmosphere. whenever the team was on a losing streak, you were always a positive voice that helped to keep things light, and that’s very rare. i don’t think seth would’ve went positive without you, and you even won when you subbed in (2-0 with neutral luck btw). you and seth are both goats, natdex is in good hands.

gonna keep this short since i think you probably know most of the nice things i’d have to say about you. you’re one of my closest friends on this site and i look forward to managing this tour with you every year, even though it drains the shit out of me lol. thankfully its so much fun that i don’t really care. hopefully both of our lives are more stable next year and we can push all the way to the trophy. love you man, next year’s gonna be the one.
