This man designed the iconic Flash outfit that's been worn by three incarnations of the character over a span of almost 60 years. This man created the Flash's excellent rogues gallery, one of the best in DC if not anywhere, that made the Flash last so long. This man made Barbara Gordon Batgirl. This man created Black Canary. This man worked for both Marvel and DC, as an editor, as a publisher, as a writer, as an artist. This man was responsible for Jack Kirby coming over to DC and doing the best work of his career. This man, while Stan Lee just put his name all over everything for fame and fortune, was genuinely putting effort into making comics an entertaining and successful medium. This man was the pioneer of the Silver Age.

I've enjoyed things that would never have existed without this man for my entire life. And I never even knew his name until he was dead.

Sorry if that sounded melodramatic but I do feel really bummed about this.
