Dogs of course they are the best friends of humans! I do also have a dog! We are having a nice time together! Now cats to be honest i have been scratched by a wild one so i dont like them!

Cats! They are tremendously cute and they have never annoyed me( i have one). One reason i don't like dogs is just because they bite

Yes just to put things in order its what kind of dogs or cats you buy to have as pets! Not all kinds of cats scratch and not all kinds of dogs bite! But its because of my traumatic experience that i had that i dont like cats!

I was sleeping last night and my cat just laid down beside me and began purring. It was so damn adorable; he actually had his head on the pillow like a big boy.

I'm going to have to go with cats, but it's as much a lifestyle issue as anything. If things were different for me I could certainly see dogs being a better choice.

Dogs have more personally, which is actually a minus for me. They are extremely needy and demand much more attention than your average cat. This is great if you enjoy that sort of thing (and there is nothing wrong with it) but it turns me off because I have enough _people_ around me who legitimately need me that the dog just ends up being prioritized last and an irritant. Cats, on the other hand, are generally less needy and even in the cases where they are will usually let you shoe them away.

Dogs are also poor if you like to travel for more than a day. You really can't leave out a huge dish of food as they will overeat/crap any and everywhere. A cat will eat what it needs and uses a little box if it is indoor. A weekend away with a cat does not require a friend to help out or kennel fees. My wife is actually on her way to the kennel at this very instant because we're traveling this weekend. There is a hundred bucks down the tubes. "Stupid" (the cat) will just get her food bowl filled be fine when we get back on Sunday.

If you end up with a dog that acts out you can't really let it free unless you have a fenced in area. A cat who does not know how to behave can be made into an outdoor cat. Of course it's not optimal as outdoor cats tend to have shorter lifespans and cleaning up the dead animals they gift you can be a real pain in the ass, but it's a better option than living miserably with a "bad" animal or giving it away. "Stupid" lives outside now, but she rarely leaves the yard and has a cat door to get into the garage for safety from other animals and shelter from the elements.

Cats.
Cats are much more independent, require no training, are just as social if raised properly, don't make a ruckus, and are all-in-all apathetic for the most part, just like me.

I have a gaggle of cats but also own 2 dogs (who I love a lot, they live at my mother's house though). Dogs are a lot of work and are often annoying, I've never really found my cats to be annoying (even the one who tries to sing all the time). It's great to go on a vacation and just pour out a mound of food and know that the cats will be fine.

One of my cats follows me around the house and when I stop walking he falls on his back and waves his arms around, it's adorable!

I am a BIG animal person but I prefer the company of dogs to cats. A study I heard about cats on animal planet said that cats stick close to their owners out of necessity rather than a bond; they're in it for the food for the most part.

Kinda makes sense to me. Had my cat Smokey since it was a kitten and we made sure it had plenty of food and water outside and despite that he would start running off every few days and then weeks. Pretty soon after that we never saw him again. We came to the conclusion he found a different place to live.

Dogs on the other hand develop a very close bond with their owners and establish themselves as a member of the "pack".They also just seem to have more personality, imo.

Yeah, I'm going with cats. I can't stand how dogs fucking crave your attention when you clearly do not want it. see: my dog.

I'm a dog person, but that's mostly due to the fact that cats are the only thing I'm alergic to. I still like cats, but they make me sneeze.
