Ceruledge @ Ghostium Z
Ability: Weak Armor
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bitter Blade
- Poltergeist
- Endure
With its newfound access to Z-Moves, Ceruledge slices and dices National Dex, using its power that is further complemented by Swords Dance and Weak Armor to sweep unprepared teams. Endure lets Ceruledge stay in against Landorus-T and Ogerpon-W to activate Weak Armor easily, and Ghostium Z allows Ceruledge to unleash a powerful Never-Ending Nightmare, capable of obliterating checks like Alomomola and Hisuian Samurott at +2. Ceruledge fits best on offense teams, as it only has one chance to sweep most times. It can also check Terapagos and Volcarona, which these teams appreciate heavily. Ceruledge is a good option on sun teams specifically, as common wallbreakers like Mega Charizard Y can put holes in opposing teams beforehand, as well as sun boosting Bitter Blade and allowing it to gain increased healing. Ceruledge is really offset by its Stealth Rock weakness, so Pokemon that can prevent Stealth Rock from being set up, such as Hatterene, Great Tusk, and Terapagos, are near-required. Ting-Lu and Mega Tyranitar are also good teammates, as not only do they check Ghost-types like Gholdengo and Pecharunt, but they can also set entry hazards for Ceruledge to sweep easier.
